Hundreds Dead in Mexico Border's 'Feminicide' CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico (Reuters) - Josefina Gonzalez became one of hundreds of women killed in the area since 1993 in a chilling spate of murders that police have failed to solve. Exact figures are hard to come by, but investigators say 258 women have been murdered in and around Ciudad Juarez in the last decade. Non-governmental groups put the number at around 300. Many of the victims were, like Claudia Gonzalez, poor young women who worked at "maquiladora" factories that make goods for export to the nearby United States. Theories for the motives range from Satanic rituals, organ trafficking and snuff movies where women are kidnapped, sexually assaulted and then murdered on camera. |

I've had it with illegal aliens, illegal immigration, and the complicit attitude of US immigration policy! My 16 year old has been looking for a summer job for the last 3 months, what he's found has been surprising. Not only are there no summer jobs available, there are no jobs available, period, for someone with no experience. So you say he's not looking hard enough? That the jobs are there, you just have to find them. HA! All the entry level, low skill jobs that would normally be taken by teenagers and young adults during the summer are being taken by illegal immigrants, at least here in Texas. The few places that don't hire illegals have to contend with 10 or more applicants for each open position... |

The lawsuit claims Sun had a bias in favor of hiring people from India, citing as evidence statements made this year by Sun's Indian-born cofounder, Vinod Khosla, on the CBS television program ''60 Minutes.'' This created the present $1.5 billion a DAY trade deficit. Normally, such a trade imbalance would drive the value of the dollar down, but a devalued dollar makes that portion of the government debt held by foreign interests increase, since the debt is held in the currency of the lending institution. |
