Abdullah Baybasin, a Turkish Kurd allegedly controlled 90 per cent of heroin imports into the UK, was granted refugee status Baybasin, 37, headed a crime family with assets in Turkey of up to £10billion.
He ran a drugs empire from his wheelchair in North London after being crippled by a gunshot wound.
It is thought that over the years 25 people were murdered in violence connected to his rackets.

"Late Term Birth Control" Father Accused Of Killing 4-Month-Old Son JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Just hours after a father brought his 4-month-old son to the hospital, that man was charged with murdering the boy. Adrian Phillip Smith, 34, brought his son to Wolfson Children's Hospital late Friday night, and the infant was not breathing. Police say doctors pulled a bloody cloth item from Adrian Smith II's throat. Homicide detectives interviewed the father and gathered evidence at his home on Earnest Street, where they believe the boy was killed, then arrested Smith. The alleged sexual assault, being investigated by Houston police, was reported on Thursday, about two months after the Houston Independent School District added a third police officer and beefed-up security measures in response to a brawl between students and Hurricane Katrina evacuees.
Computer forensic experts will try to enhance the quality of the video in hopes of identifying the man, who was described as a 5-foot-5-inch black man, weighing about 140 pounds and wearing a "bald fade" haircut. Child pornography charges for Tampa man A Tampa man is free after he was arrested on child pornography charges Thursday.
Investigators seized 48-year-old Lewis Simmons Jr.'s home computer and discovered numerous pictures of child pornography. Investigators said Simmons downloaded the pictures off the Internet or exchanged them with other people through the Internet. He is charged with 66 counts of child pornography and is out of jail on $30,000 bond. - (Newsroom) |

| 13-year-old girl raped in Satanic ritual BILLINGS Montana: A man convicted in the 1989 rape of a child has been charged with another juvenile rape that allegedly happened in the late 19-eighties, as well. Forty-seven-year-old Leon Whitcher pleaded not guilty to a pair of felony sex charges, this week in Billings. A state judge set bail at 100-thousand dollars. Whitcher's conviction stemmed from the rape of a 13-year-old girl in what prosecutors said was a satanic ritual. Authorities filed the new charges after investigators talked to the mother of another girl who allegedly was raped during a span of several years, beginning when she was seven years old. The girl reported she was taken to an abandoned building in Shepherd, where ritualistic acts took place. |

Police arrested Gregory Travillion, 46, for an outstanding warrant relating to a DWI arrest in 2003. Austin police say Travillion was seen picking-up a known prostitute late Friday night. A few blocks away, police pulled over Travillion and discovered the outstanding warrant.

Many students said Cordelia Wilson, a 26-year-old biology teacher and softball coach, was a good teacher and they found it hard to believe she was arrested. Investigators said the teacher was caught on campus with a 17-year-old male student in an office primarily used for storage with the door locked.

Galveston woman allegedly had sex with 6-year-old niece Police arrested a 22-year old Galveston woman Thursday morning on warrants charging her with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Nylicia Caraway allegedly enticed her 6-year-old niece to perform oral sodomy on her on two different occasions.
Each case is a first-degree felony offense punishable by five years to life imprisonment and a $10,000 fine.
An investigation was conducted after the youth’s mother reported the incident to police. Investigators said Caraway has made a statement admitting the offenses. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
