A sex predator who attacked six women days after he was released from a prison sentence for similar offences has been jailed for life.
Joshua Victorin, 24, was supposed to be under supervision when he embarked on a 12-day spree of terror during the festive season last year.
He attacked four women in a single day, Inner London crown court heard.
Victorin's previous victims included a prison officer as well as a drug and alcohol worker. He was released in early December and attacked his next victim on December 23, 2020 when she got off a bus in Peckham. At an earlier hearing, prosecutor Claire Harden-Frost said: 'These offences can be seen as part of a campaign to rape and sexually assault women walking alone in the streets of London. 'This, frankly is most people's nightmare in this situation.' Victorin has seven previous convictions for 14 offences dating back to 2014. He was jailed for 17 months in February 2019 for unlawful wounding and possession of an offensive weapon. Victorin was jailed for a year after sexually assaulted two prison guards while serving his sentence, as well as a separate sexual assault on a female police officer in March last year. He was released halfway through his sentence in August, but recalled to prison after being charged with possession of cannabis and outraging public decency - by having consensual sex in a park in front of people, including children - and was then freed under licence in December. Judge Silas Reid told him: 'You grabbed her forcefully and she screamed. You pulled her jogging bottoms to the floor with both hands. 'A passer-by saw her with your hands around her waist. On the 31st December that year the second victim was walking home in Elephant and Castle. 'You had dark clothing on. You grabbed her and pulled her trousers down causing her to fall. 'You pulled your trousers. You got on top of her. You had a hand on each of her legs which you had in the air. 'When challenged by a security guard, you didn't immediately stop your actions but you dragged her around the corner to continue. 'You had what was described as a neutral expression as you attempted to rape your victim. You have come close to destroying [this victim's] life and her relationships. 'She had been planning to start a family with her husband prior to this attack but has been unable to do so because of what you did to her.' The victim said afterwards: 'I dread to think what might have happened. I couldn't have fought him off for much longer.' 'He could have slit my throat or choked me. Or if my head had hit the floor in a different way, I could easily be six feet under now.' A "controlling and jealous" man who set fire to his estranged wife has been found guilty of her murder.
Damion Simmons, 45, doused Denise Keane-Simmons, 36, in petrol, in Brent, north-west London, early on 16 April 2020. She died later that morning.
Simmons, who was also found guilty of arson with intent, had sent a voice note to his victim that night saying "I really hope you suffer and die", the Old Bailey heard. He will be sentenced on 22 September. Giving evidence during the trial, Simmons admitted being a "controlling and jealous" husband who had harassed his wife. However, he maintained he had not meant for her to die. The court heard that on 10 February 2020, Ms Keane-Simmons made a formal complaint to police about her husband's behaviour, which included constantly contacting her on social media and sending messages to her workplace suggesting she wanted him "beaten up". In March, 13 months after their wedding in Trinidad and Tobago, she started divorce proceedings. On 15 April, a friend received a photograph of Ms Keane-Simmons naked in the bath which the defendant also posted on his own Instagram account, together with his wife's maiden name and details of the school where she worked, the Old Bailey heard. The defendant later admitted he had sent the photo. Prosecutor William Emlyn-Jones QC told the jury that 45 minutes after posting the image on Instagram, Simmons went to a garage and bought a petrol canister which he filled up with more than five litres of petrol. In the early hours of 16 April, the fire brigade were called and forced their way into Ms Keane-Simmons room, but she had suffered significant burns and a brain injury caused by a lack of oxygen, the court heard. A TEENAGER has today appeared in court charged with conspiracy to murder a Black Lives Matter activist blasted in the head at a party.
Sasha Johnson, 27, was left fighting for life after being shot at the bash in Peckham, South East London, on Sunday morning.
Cameron Deriggs, 18, today appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with conspiracy to murder. The teen spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address during the brief hearing. He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on June 25. Deriggs was one of five men aged 17 to 28 quizzed on suspicion of attempted murder on Wednesday. The remaining four have been released on bail until a date in late June. Self-styled 'Black Panther of Oxford' Sasha remains in a critical condition in hospital. It comes after cops were scrambled to the shooting, which was close to a house party, at around 3am on Sunday. A man aged in his 20s suffered a superficial knife injury during the incident but has been discharged from hospital. She had previously been a vocal supporter of the campaign to remove the statue of Cecil Rhodes from Oxford University. She also called for the police to be defunded following the death of George Floyd in the US and wants reparations to be made to black people in Britain via tax breaks. Gareeca Gordon, 28, stabbed Phoenix Netts, also 28, at the property where they both lived in Birmingham on April 16 last year.
Bristol Crown Court heard Gordon stabbed Ms Netts four times, causing fatal injuries, before dismembering her body with a circular saw. After killing Ms Netts, Gordon set about deceiving her friends and family through text messages, emails and voice messages that she was still alive and had moved to London. Gordon was arrested near Coleford in the Forest of Dean at about 11pm on May 12 last year, with officers finding her beside a quarry with two suitcases found to contain the remains of Ms Netts. The defendant had previously pleaded guilty to Ms Netts’s murder days before she was due to stand trial. On Tuesday she was jailed for life with a minimum term of 23 years and six months at the same court. Opening the case for the prosecution, Andrew Smith QC said Ms Netts had told a friend in February that Gordon had “demanded (LESBIAN) sex with her” and became “aggressive” when she said no. On April 7, Ms Netts sent a text message to a friend stating: “There’s a girl here who keeps asking me to be (HOMO)sexual. “I think I’m going to move back to London. It’s scaring me lol.” Mr Smith told Bristol Crown Court Gordon made a call to the Samaritans on April 11, in which she appeared “tipsy”. “The clear focus of the call was Ms Gordon describing that she liked another woman and wanting to have sex with her,” Mr Smith said. “At one stage Ms Gordon said either that her loins were warming up or were hot.” The last known contact Ms Netts had was a phone call with a friend in the early hours of April 16. He attempted to ring her back that afternoon but did not get through. Her phone was used to make internet searches including “how to fix punctured lung”, “internal bleeding” and “can someone recover from getting stabbed” between 1.04pm and 3.07pm that day, the court heard. A post-mortem examination found Ms Netts had suffered four stab wounds to the front of her torso but would not have died had she received prompt medical attention. Mr Smith said: “The precise time which the stab injuries were caused is not known.” He told the court that another woman living in the shared accommodation with Ms Netts and Gordon heard noises of drilling and banging, as well as shouts of “help me, help me”, on April 16. Following the murder, Gordon purchased a circular saw on Gumtree for £45 and it was delivered to the property shortly before 11am on April 17. Mr Smith said the post-mortem examination found the saw was used to dismember the body of Ms Netts when it was either clothed or partially clothed. “Dismemberment took place at five different locations of the body, dividing the body into six parts,” he told the court. The court heard Gordon made a number of trips to the Forest of Dean and attempted to burn the remains of Ms Netts in woodland there. Police officers attending reports of a car driving in the area during the coronavirus lockdown on May 12 last year discovered Gordon with two suitcases. She was arrested on suspicion of murder after one officer opened a suitcase and saw a partially burned torso. 
Forensic examinations of Ms Netts’ room found the bed, mattress, carpet and underlay had been removed but blood staining was found in the living area, kitchen and shower, Mr Smith said. The circular saw used to dismember the body of Ms Netts was discovered in Gordon’s room. Mr Smith said “handwritten plans and notes concerned with her removing the body from Coleford and moving it to Wales to burn further” were also found in the room. Bristol Crown Court heard the family of Phoenix Netts have been deeply affected by her death. Mr Smith, referring to victim personal statements from Ms Netts’ mother and father, said: “Both statements speak of the profound, understandable and enduring loss experienced through the loss of a much loved daughter with whom they expected to share the next chapter of her life.” He told the court that the pain experienced by the family was “exacerbated by the knowledge of the manner of her death and the defendant impersonating her”. Bristol Crown Court heard Gordon used the mobile phone of Ms Netts to contact her friends and family, claiming she was safe and well, for weeks after the murder. A man had admitted the kidnap and rape of
a 13-year-old girl on her way to school.
Kadian Nelson, 27, followed the schoolgirl in south west London before approaching her from behind and putting one hand over her mouth and another on her head.
Nelson also threatened to kill the girl and forced her to walk towards an alleyway in Mitcham on November 3 last year, the Crown Prosecution Service said. He told her to take off her coat and school blazer before sexually assaulting her, then put his own jacket on the victim. Police were alerted when a woman called 999 saying her daughter had seen a man grab a young girl. When one of the woman's relatives interrupted Nelson, he told her the victim was his sister, the CPS said. Following the incident, the Metropolitan Police named Nelson as a suspect and urged him to come forward for his own safety. Local residents were told not to take the law into their own hands after angry groups gathered at addresses in the area as news of the incident spread on social media. Nelson appeared at Kingston Crown Court on Monday where he admitted kidnap, rape and making a threat to kill, the CPS said in a statement. the killer to walk her home."Wesley Streete dumped Keeley Bunker’s body face-down in a brook in a park before trying to conceal it with branches on 19 September last year. He repeatedly lied about what had happened to 20-year-old Bunker as they returned to their hometown of Tamworth, Staffordshire, after a night out celebrating her birthday, changing his account at least four times before his trial at Stafford crown court. Streete initially claimed to have left Bunker to walk home alone, before later alleging he “accidentally killed her” during (allegedly) "consensual" sex in Wigginton Park. The jury, returning verdicts on Wednesday, convicted Streete in just over eight hours. Streete, of no fixed address, was also found guilty of two other counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and a charge of sexual activity with a child, against three other victims, said to have taken place in previous years. Bunker’s sister had described her as “one of the most vibrant, caring and beautiful souls this earth has ever seen”. The court heard Bunker’s uncle, Jason Brown, discovered her partially submerged body during a massive search effort involving family, friends and police. Baker initially walked free from court but was jailed for life with a minimum of 10 years in 2013 after fresh evidence was unearthed. But the Parole Board yesterday cleared the rapist for release at an oral hearing, insisting that the decision was taken with 'great care' and 'public safety' at the forefront of the panel's minds. The case was then reopened in 2009 and Jamaican-born Baker, from Walthamstow, north east London, but of no fixed address, was arrested in 2011. He was once again brought to trial, under the new double jeopardy laws, and found guilty by a unanimous jury. 'I asked him if I could go to my sister's but he said 'if I can't have you no one will have you. 'He then grabbed a bread knife and was chopping me on my face, arms, hand and leg. I thought I was going to die. I grabbed a knife and threw it. 'He was still hitting me and dragged me downstairs and I tried to get the knife but did not know where I threw it. Member of grooming gang jailed for
four years for raping girl, 13The 35th member of a notorious Huddersfield grooming gang has been jailed for repeatedly raping an underage girl. Manzoor Akhtar, 31, has been sentenced to more than four years in jail for raping a young girl when she was just 13. The assaults took place during 2005 and 2006 in the West Yorkshire town, Leeds Crown Court heard. Another gang member, Shaqeel Hussain, has had 12 months added to his prison sentence after he admitted to committing an indecent assault on a 16-year-old girl between 2004 and 2005. He can only be named now as reporting restrictions were lifted after he pleaded guilty. Hussain, 36, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, is already serving an eight-year prison sentence for raping a 14-year-old girl after going to trial in February. The latest convictions mean a total of 35 men have now been jailed as part of Operation Tendersea, a multi-agency investigation into historic child sexual exploitation in Huddersfield. Multiple men in the town raped girls – many of whom were underage – between 1995 and 2011. The combined sentences so far come to more than 380 years between the men. Despite emergency services’ best attempts to save Emily’s life, she passed away about an hour later after she was rushed to the hospital. Following the horrific attack, the Somali murderer – who was not previously known to Emily or to parents – was arrested at the scene of the crime on suspicion of murder. The 30-year-old woman is now being held at a high-security detention center under the Mental Health Act. Shockingly, the nationality of Somali attacker was never mentioned by the UK’s mainstream press in what appears to have been an attempt to bury the story.

The group of seven men aged between 37 and 47 were described as 'predatory and cynical' by a judge after being convicted on Friday following a five-month trial, at Oxford Crown Court. The court heard how the gang would often abuse girls aged between 13 and 15 in a 's wagon' with licence plate ending 'SHG'. A jury of four women and seven men took a record-breaking 107 hours and 31 minutes, over the course of 24 days, to reach their verdict. The charges faced by the men, who each denied their part in the child sexual exploitation, included indecent assault, rape, and false imprisonment, on five victims between 1998 and 2005. During the trial, Oxford Crown Court heard accounts from the victims, all of whom were aged between 13 and 15 at the time, who said they were plied with drink and drugs and took part in sex parties. A convicted rapist who was on probation, Campbell attacked Mrs Skidmore, strangling her with a vacuum cleaner cord and leaving her unconscious, while her daughter’s body lay in a room upstairs. Campbell, who was later jailed for life, set fire to the house to cover his tracks. accused of 46 charges in connection
with the sex ring, who preyed on girls
from a range of different backgrounds
and ethnicities. Three of the men -
Sakariya Sheikh, 23, Mohammed Dahir,
24, and Abdirashid Abdulahi, 23
– have now been convicted of 14
charges, including trafficking, sexual
assault and rape. Sheikh was jailed
for 16 years after being found guilty
of three sexual assaults, two counts
of trafficking for sexual
exploitation, rape and supplying a
class B drug. Both Dahir and Abdulahi
were convicted of two counts of rape

Bate, 42,, of Maricopa
Drive, Santa Barbara broke in and

attack on a woman in her south London
home. During the early hours of July
22 1996 the victim awoke in her
Thornton Heath home to find Bate in
her bedroom staring at her. He told
her that a friend of his was with her
children in the room next door, and
then placed his arm across her throat
and raped and indecently assaulted her
several times for more than an hour
and a half, when he fled the scene and
the victim was able to call police.
Detectives investigating the crime
managed to recover a partial DNA
profile, but at that time it was not
enough to identify a suspect. However,
in 2011, a forensic review of the
investigation was conducted, and
material taken at the time of the
original investigation was examined
using enhanced DNA techniques. -

Circuit Judge Charles E. Roberts
resentenced Tyson to two consecutive
life terms in prison for murdering James
Kouzaris, 24, and James Cooper, 25.
There is no parole. In a lengthy
statement made from the bench before
he announced the sentence Wednesday
morning, Roberts acknowledged there
are special considerations when
sentencing a juvenile on murder
charges, but added: “On April 16,
2011, Shawn
Tyson killed in cold blood
two young men who posed no threat.”
“The defendant’s motive was robbery,
but when he realized he would not get
what he wanted, he made the conscious
decision to kill both victims,”
Roberts said. Tyson first
shot Cooper four times. Kouzaris
was shot in the back twice as he
attempted to run away.

wanted in connection with an acid
attack on five teenagers as they
waited for a train. He is alleged to
have been part of a group that
squirted corrosive liquid over the
boys before jumping on a train and
making his getaway. The man
is described as black, with
dark hair and wearing a jet black
North Face gilet. The terrifying
incident took place shortly after
12.40am on Sunday, when the man
dismounted a train travelling towards
Barking at Ockendon station, Essex. He
approached the
five victims who were waiting
on the platform where he held one of
his hands behind his back. After a
brief dialog with them, he removed his
hand from behind his back exposing a
bottle. He then squirted an unknown
liquid over the victims. The man
re-joined his group of roughly nine
friends on the 11.44pm Southend to
Barking service.

note to his 30-year-old son Kirk and
called 999 to say police would find
two bodies at the property. A police
officer broke down the door when he
saw Mrs Nibbs' headless body through
the letterbox and bravely grappled a
shotgun and knife from Nibbs as he
attempted to stab himself in the
bathroom. Afterwards, Nibbs, who had
been diagnosed with prostate and
cancer, and wore a colostomy bag said
he killed his wife because he thought
she was a "snake" but jurors heard he
had shown no signs of mental illness.
Prosecutor Crispin Aylett QC told an
Old Bailey jury that the couple's
relationship soured in the spring of
2014 as Nibbs suspected his wife of
having affairs. -
