Lewd Jason Williams arrested for rape of an 83-year-old woman - previously convicted of raping a 15-year-old girl  A 27-year-old Omaha man was arrested Friday night just before 10 o'clock after an 83-year-old woman called police and said she'd been raped.
The man the alleged victim described was found at the scene of the assault at 23rd and Castelar Jason Williams is facing charges of first-degree sexual assault, burglary and false imprisonment.
Police records show Williams was convicted in 2001 of second-degree sexual assault for an incident involving a 15-year-old girl.
He also served 31 days in jail for lewd conduct last October. - (crime) - (reader link) |
Murder Suspect Sought in SC - Green is considered armed and extremely dangerous Sheriff's deputies are looking for a Low Country man wanted for murder. Deputies say Charles Green, Jr. of Burton, South Carolina is wanted in connection with a murder early Saturday morning.
Investigators say around 12:30 a.m., Green was arguing with three men in the parking lot of the Oaks at Broad River Apartments in Beaufort. They say Green shot at all three, killing one person and injuring another. The surviving victims identified Green in a photo lineup as the shooter.

Sports: the former Ohio State footballer wanted on robbery charges COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Maurice Clarett was accused of using a gun to rob two people in an alley behind a bar early Sunday, the latest trouble for the former Ohio State running back. Clarett fled when the bar owner or manager, who knew Clarett and the victims, came into the alley and identified him shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday. The 22-year-old Clarett left the scene in a white sport utility vehicle with two other men and took only a cell phone from his alleged victims, who weren't injured. Suspect Hector Munoz accused of attempted rape A Wilmington man accused of robbing and trying to rape a 25-year-old woman Tuesday in the parking lot of Iron Hill Apartments near Newark has been arrested on suspicion of those crimes and charges relating to four other burglaries at the complex, county police said.
Hector Munoz, 25, of the 1000 block of W. Fourth St., was charged Thursday with attempted rape, robbery, assault, possession of cocaine, and four counts each of burglary, theft and criminal mischief. - (-88-) - (crime) |

Canada: Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew attacked by black - Good Samaritan punched in face by black  The black Montreal man who is accused of attacking and attempting to rob Foreign Affairs Minister Pierre Pettigrew will spend New Year's Eve in jail before undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. The judge denied bail and ordered the evaluation during a court appearance Friday, claiming he didn't want a "ticking time bomb," roaming the streets. The 24-year-old house painter, Frederick Estelle, has been charged with assault and robbery stemming from an incident Wednesday. Estelle is alleged to have attacked Pettigrew while he was waiting for a train in Montreal. Pettigrew was allegedly accosted by the man who reportedly told him "this is my territory, you have no business here." Pettigrew was talking on his cell phone at the time and attempted to ignore the man. Estelle allegedly then grabbed Pettigrew by the shoulder and attempted to wrestle his cell phone from his hand. A Good Samaritan tried to intervene and was allegedly punched in the face in the process.
Police then arrested Estelle, who told them he knew he had attacked "a well known public figure."

Authorities say two of the suspects admit they'd been drinking with 
Winston Churchill was determined to send Adolf Hitler to the electric chair if he was ever captured, according to new papers released.The pugnacious British prime minister also believed that senior Nazis should be summarily executed without the benefit of a trial. Churchill proposed that they "negotiate" with figures such as Gestapo head Heinrich Himmler - who had already sought secret peace talks with the British government - and then "bump him off later".
Police in Williamsburg and James City County are looking for a 24-year old man accused of sex crimes against a 12-year old girl. Officials say the crimes happened between August and early December at the home of Jonathan White in Williamsburg, as well as at the home of one of White's relatives in James City County.
Police say the alleged sex acts did not involve force, but White faces charges because they involved a minor.

Now that President Bush has launched a new propaganda campaign to convince Americans that we are winning the war in Iraq, it's a good idea to go back to the basics and look at the pluses and minuses of this war. The minuses we all know. The war was sold on false pretenses, there being neither weapons of mass destruction nor ties to al-Qaeda, which after all, was responsible for the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Saddam Hussein's government was secular, and the majority of people in Iraq are Shi'ites. Al-Qaeda is a fanatical religious movement that is Sunni, which is why you need never fear that al-Qaeda will take over Iraq.
