Father of Rape Victim Posts Reward for Alleged Suspect The father of a young rape victim hopes a reward will lead to the arrest and conviction of the alleged suspect. Victim's Father: "It's against the law, and it's wrong. She's just a baby, and it hurts me." The man says his 13-year old daughter is now pregnant. You may recall the story first made news last month, when a school bus driver was arrested for molesting the man's 13-year old daughter. Well, now that bus driver is not the only man suspected of victimizing the girl. Victim's Father: "If anybody's out there, make my Christmas, catch this guy." A desperate plea from the father of a 13-year old rape victim. The young girl is now pregnant. The alleged suspect is 22-year old Arturo Santillan. He lived in the victim's neighborhood. The girl told police they had sex, in Santillan's home last month. It happened more than once. Victim's Father: "He didn't do it once, he did it 3 times, to my daughter." Santillan isn't the only suspect involving the girl. Last month, Police arrested Christian Bair for molesting the teen in her home. Bair was a bus driver for the Provo School District. In a related case, police also arrested Gustavo Rene Martinez-Ayala. He was accused of sex crimes against the victim's 12-year old friend. Meantime, police are still looking for Santillan. The victim's father is now putting up his own money, in hopes of finding him. |

Two blacks going to prison on charge of carjacking and dragging a White man chained to a pickup truck - "Not a hatecrime" Two Hartsville men who pleaded guilty to federal carjacking charges in an incident in which a man was chained to a pickup truck and dragged through a field have been sentenced to prison. Kenneth Smith, 41, was sentenced to 14 years in prison Wednesday by U.S. District Judge R. Bryan Harwell. Lamont McKay, 27, was sentenced to seven years. The men forced the victim into his own pickup truck, ordered him to drive to a nearby field and made him take his clothes off. The victim was then beaten with a tire iron and burned with a cigarette lighter, chained to the truck and dragged up the road. The victim, who is white, said Smith and McKay, who are black, made racial slurs while chaining him to the truck. Authorities said they do not doubt the comments were made but said the crime did not appear to be racially motivated, because the robbery occurred first. - (Tyrone N. THE DARK AGE,THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BARN, FREEDOM by H. Millard © 2005 It was an age of ignorance, superstition, social chaos, genocide, and repression. It was a time when our people could not think, speak, or write freely, nor could they read or study certain books or events. It was a time when our people were made defenseless and were murdered in their homes and in the streets. It was a time when our people could not choose who they wanted to associate with or not associate with. - (H. Millard index) - (Commentary) |
