Restaurant maintenance man murder suspect appears in court, White victim laid to rest  St. Petersburg, Florida – The man suspected of killing a St. Petersburg restaurant manager made a court appearance while his alleged victim was laid to rest.
A judge ordered Wilson Saintil held without bond and appointed him a public defender. Saintil is charged with first degree murder in the death of Stephen Holmes.
Saintil was arrested when he returned to Durango's Steak House.. That's where Holmes' body was discovered. Saintil stabbed Holmes to death and robbed the restaurant. Saintil had been the maintenance man at the restaurant.
Meanwhile, Holmes' co-workers, friends and family paid their final respects to the husband and father.
Holmes' widow said she was shocked when she heard Saintil may be responsible. He and her husband had been friends. - (Brewski) - (crime) - (Black-on-White) |
Callous and cruel waffle house cook charged in poisoning of homeless man Police have filed new and more serious charges against a former Waffle House employee accused of poisoning a homeless man. Family members say 50-year-old Rex Leo is in critical condition after drinking a concoction that included industrial strength dishwashing detergent.
Leo was homeless and, according his brother, Bob Leo, hooked on alcohol. At a Henry County Waffle House, Henry County Police say, a cook, 19-year-old Quinton Wilson, dared the homeless man to drink a bizarre concoction. The potion sent Rex to the hospital. Wilson was fired from his job at the Waffle House after the incident. - (crime) |

Man Arrested In Rape Cases From 1990s ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Police have arrested a man in connection with two rape cases from the 1990s.
On Dec. 23, 1993, a 34-year-old woman from Olney was raped on Old Baltimore Road as she walked toward her home after getting off of a bus.
A 54-year-old woman was cleaning a laundry room he morning of Sept. 18, 1997, when a man attempted to rape her. The victim fought back and was kicked and beaten by the man before he fled. In 1998, Serrell Singleton, 42, became a suspect in the 1997 case. He was linked
to it by DNA evidence, police said. In 2004, he was identified as a suspect in

Indian Migrant Convicted in University Slaying  CLEVELAND (AP) -- A former graduate student who killed one person and wounded two others in a seven-hour shooting rampage at Case Western Reserve University was convicted Friday of murder and nearly 200 other charges.
Biswanath Halder, 65, could be sentenced to death.
Wearing body armor, a wig and an army helmet, Halder broke into the university's business school in 2003 with two guns and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition and opened fire at random because he believed that a computer lab employee had hacked into his Web site devoted to helping fellow natives of India start businesses.
Student Norman Wallace, 30, was killed. A faculty member and another student were wounded. |

Receptionist sues boss Jorge Garcia for allegedly masturbating on her  Jorge Garcia answers his own phone at his legal services firm in Houston. In fact, he has become his own secretary since his receptionist quit, filed criminal charges against him, and sued Garcia for allegedly masturbating on her during her second day on the job. Kristina Roberts, 37, claims she was alone at JEG Advertising with her new boss when he approached her while holding his penis. "Plaintiff was sitting at her desk doing the work she was given earlier that day when Mr. Garcia came up behind her," her civil suit says. "He asked Ms. Roberts to turn around, and when she did, defendant proceeded to ejaculate onto her and her clothing.

Manuel Bracamontes killer of 9-year-old girl to be sentenced  Manuel Bracamontes, the man convicted of kidnapping, molesting and murdering the Nicoloff Elementary School third-grader, is scheduled to be sentenced today in San Diego Superior Court. Wal-Mart Santa arrested for exposing self to boy Newburgh - A Wal-Mart Santa Claus was arrested Monday for allegedly exposing himself to a 15-year-old boy and attempting to have the boy engage in oral sex with him at his home on Dec. 9.
Ransford George Perry, 57, has acted as an advocate for numerous children around Newburgh through a business called the Association Against Biased Educators. He is also a promoter for "talented children," and a Santa Claus at the Wal-Mart on Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh.
Perry was acting as an advocate for the youth and told the victim he had work for him to do at his home when the assault allegedly took place, police said. - (aryan_barbarian) |
Goldsboro Man Charged With Child Sex Abuse of Family Members GOLDSBORO, N.C. -- A Wayne County man was arrested on child sex abuse charges stemming from approximately two to three years ago, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. Roderic B. Thompson, 29, of Goldsboro, was charged with a first-degree sex offense with a child.
Investigators said they received a report Monday from the mother of three juveniles who had just learned they were allegedly sexually assaulted. Authorities said the victims were family members of Thompson. - (Tyrone N. Butts) - (TNB) |
UK: Black Robber guilty of killing White financier   A drug dealer has been convicted of killing wealthy financier John Monckton during a brutal robbery at his multi-million-pound home. Elliot White, 24, was found not guilty of his murder but guilty of his manslaughter by an Old Bailey jury. Police Officer Charged With Sexual Assault  State Law Enforcement Division agents say they've arrested a member of the Columbia Police Department, charging him with first-degree sexual assault.
Officer Robby D. James, 28, was arrested early Friday morning and booked at the Richland County Jail.

Sports: Charges Filed In Vikings 'Love Boat' Scandal MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota Vikings All-Pro quarterback Daunte Culpepper and teammates Bryant McKinnie, Fred Smoot and Moe Williams were charged Thursday with misdemeanors for their involvement in a boat party incident on Oct. 6. According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, each player was charged with three misdemeanors; indecent conduct, disorderly conduct and lewd and lascivious conduct.
If the players are convicted, they face a maximum penalty on each charge for 90 days in jail or a $1,000 fine. The court date for Culpepper and his teammates is scheduled for Jan. 5. - (White Boy) - (more sports) |

A woman once accused of being a Chinese double agent while having a love affair with an FBI agent pleaded guilty Friday to making a false statement and filing a false tax return.
In a surprise ending to a case in which implications of sex and intrigue overwhelmed suggestions of spying, Katrina Leung admitted she lied to the FBI about her intimate relationship with her FBI handler, James J. Smith, and that she failed to include all her income on her tax returns for the year 2000.
