Man Arrested In Connection With Kidnapping, Assault of Woman OMAHA, Neb. -- A man is under arrest on suspicion of kidnapping and assault after an incident on Sunday. Omaha police said they arrested Timothy Marzettie, 33, on suspicion of false imprisonment of Brandi McDade, 25, at the Areo Hotel at 16th and Cuming streets. Officers found Marzettie and McDade after locating a car that matched a denoscription from an Iowa kidnapping and assault incident. McDade told police she was being held against her will by Marzettie, and that he had assaulted her. - (crime) |
Two Men Arrested, Charged With Conspiracy In 2004 Death OMAHA, Neb. -- Two men were arrested in connection with the 2004 murder of Alonzo Barber. Lavertice Barber, 21, was featured on KETV NewsWatch 7's Crime Stoppers' Most Wanted report. He is now under arrest on suspicion of conspiracy in Alonzo Barber's death. The two men are cousins. Alonzo Barber was shot near 28th and Bristol streets on Sept. 24, 2004. On Monday, Omaha police said they had also arrested Kenneth Crawford, 20, on suspicion of conspiracy in Alonzo Barber's death. - (crime) |
Two illegal Mexican invader scum charged with sex crimes in disappearance of two 13-year-old Belcourt girls North Dakota: Two men in the United States illegally have been arrested and charged in the disappearance of two 13-year-old Belcourt girls Thursday. The girls were found safe Sunday when an anonymous citizen called police after seeing the girls getting into a van at the Motel 6 at 2433 State St. Carlos O. Martinez, 30, and Julio C. Alverez, 21, both of Mexico, were each charged Monday with one count of engaging in a sexual act with a minor under 15, a Class AA felony. Both men are being held without bond. Mario Garcia arrested in case of missing woman * Have You Seen Christie Wilson? LINCOLN, Calif. -- A man called "a person of interest" in the case of a missing Sacramento-area woman was expected to make bail Monday morning on unrelated charges. Mario F. Garcia, 53, was arrested on two felony counts involving possession of a weapon. He has been interviewed by authorities in connection with Christie Wilson, who disappeared from the Thunder Valley Casino parking lot 12 days ago. Investigators said that Garcia was seen on surveillance videotape playing cards with Wilson, then walking to the parking lot with her. Garcia was arrested on unrelated weapons charges after investigators found an illegal club and firearms in his home and car. Police Looking For Child Rape Suspect Nau Martinez-Mendez for raping a 7-year-old girl Madison police are looking for help locating a man they say sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl. Detectives say they have probable cause to arrest Nau Martinez-Mendez in connection with an incident early Saturday morning. A 7-year-old girld ws sexually assaulted and we know who the suspect is and Martinez-Mendez needs to be apprehended said Madison Police Officer Mike Hanson. |

Illegal migrant Juan Robles Gutierrez - driver of bus evacuating Dallas with Senior Citizens burned alive - charged with mass murder The driver of a chartered bus that erupted in flames near Dallas last month, killing 23 elderly passengers, has been charged with criminally negligent homicide. The bus was carrying elderly residents of a Houston-area nursing home to Dallas-area facilities to escape the approach of Hurricane Rita. Witnesses had said that Juan Robles Gutierrez helped pull passengers from the bus before it was fully engulfed in flames on Interstate 45 near Wilmer the morning of September 23rd.
But Dallas sheriff's Sergeant Don Peritz says investigators could find no proof of that.

Nigerian migrant Physician's rape trial begins today Did Dr. Charles Momah, a South King County obstetrician/gynecologist, use his role as a doctor to sexually abuse his patients, controlling them with his prenoscription pad and silencing them with warnings that they would never be believed? A King County Superior Court jury in Seattle is expected to hear both those arguments today as Momah goes on trial on criminal charges of rape and indecent liberties involving four female patients. If convicted on all charges, Momah could be sentenced to as many as 16 years behind bars. "He was willing to use his power and position to exploit the vulnerabilities [of] these women." Somali man arrested in Sweden suspected of genocide STOCKHOLM - A Somali national allegedly linked to one of the main militia groups in the East African nation has been arrested in Sweden for questioning on suspicion of genocide. The suspect, who was identified by the Aftonbladet tabloid as Abdi Qeybdiid, was recently appointed police chief of the Somalian capital, Mogadishu. Qeybdid was visiting Lund in southern Sweden for a conference on Somalia’s future when exiled Somalis got wind of his visit. |

Man who raped woman at a local park may be a serial rapist PORTLAND, Ore. - Police are warning that a man convicted of raping a woman in a popular Portland park is actually a serial rapist. Kevin Walls is suspected of attacking at least five different women, based on DNA analysis. He was convicted of eight felonies, including rape, sodomy, using a weapon, kidnapping, attempted rape, and sex abuse. In the most recent assault Walls drove up to a 28-year-old woman as she waited for a bus, and asked her for directions. Walls then threatened the woman with a knife and ordered her inside his truck then took the woman to a secluded trail on Mount Tabor and raped her. - (crime) - (Northwest) |
Belize: Police officer sentenced to 8 years for rape Justice Lucas told Crispin Jeffries Jr that because his two friends were paired up at the hotel that night, he "must have been concerned whether you will get sexual fulfilment." After giving him the eight years, Lucas added "in the years of good policemen, women came to the police, police were never short of women. You created your own trap. You could have been somebody for a long time, but now you are stopped." The victim, an eighteen year old woman, testified that she and two other women, including her sister, accompanied Jeffries and two friends to a hotel after an event at which Jeffries was a deejay, and only agreed to go with him to a room because he was a police officer and she felt he would not hurt her. |
Former Hampton Roads Educator Convicted On Five Money-Laundering Charges A federal jury in Norfolk on Friday found a former Hampton Roads educator guilty of five counts of money laundering in a drug conspiracy case. Pamela Y. Hoffler-Riddick faces up to 20 years in prison when she's sentenced in January. Neither she nor her attorney would comment after the verdict.Hoffler-Riddick, 44, was accused of funneling about $16,000 in drug money through her credit union account in the fall of 2000.
