  Mexican authorities arrested Jose Ernesto Beltran Quinonez, 34, early Saturday in Mexicali, a border city about 120 miles east of San Diego, the FBI said.  A three-count indictment charges Beltran with perpetrating a terrorist hoax and making false statements about an alleged plot to smuggle a nuclear warhead into the United States from Mexico.

  Eugene Canales, 43, remains behind bars after he was arrested and charged with child abuse and visual depiction of sex. The alleged incident happened at the Southwest YMCA  Saturday. The 10-year-old boy told his father a man had been taking photos of him in various stages of undress, police said. Five years ago, Canales was convicted of invading someone's privacy at another local gym. Steve Stanek said that a man was secretly videotaping him in the shower at a 24 Hour Fitness center.
