  VANCOUVER, Wash. -- An illegal immigrant who was acquitted in the fatal shooting of two men after a jury found that he acted out of fear for own life is facing deportation. Benito Gamino-Valdovinos, 41, sniffled back tears after hearing the verdict. He was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Raphael Gonzales Camacho and Joel Chavez as they stood beside his pickup truck near a Goodwill store in Vancouver, Wash., on Feb. 1. Gamino-Valdovinos said he feared for his life when he opened fire because Camacho had threatened him and he believed Camacho was armed and associated with gangs. Evidence showed neither Camacho nor Chavez had a weapon at the time. Gamino-Valdovinos will likely be deported to Mexico, where he has a wife and eight children. - (Northwest)

Nazi hunter harasses 83-year-old Australian pensioner
Nazi hunter Efraim Zuroff, director of the Israel-based Simon Wiesenthal Centre, is after 83-year-old pensioner Charles Zentai. The Hungarian government requested Mr Zentai's extradition after the Simon Wiesenthal Centre alleged he escaped to Germany after WWII by passing himself off as a refugee. The widower has denied the accusations and the legal process is continuing. "As you would imagine, the last thing we would want to do is to raise allegations against someone who is innocent."
