• Illegal immigrant from Guatemala in court y on charges he raped a 71 year old woman
  An arrest warrant was sent out for Alejandro Cuyxum when he was arrested two weeks ago. The warrant goes into graphic detail how an elderly woman was beaten and raped in the bedroom of her own apartment. Cuyxum is in the country illegally from Guatemala, and had only been in the state for eight days before the rape. Just after the attack, the landlord said he rented the apartment to a spanish speaking man who showed him identification. Police believe Cuyxum may be responsible for another break in on Smart Street.   NORWALK, Calif. -- A 19-year-old man and three underage teens pleaded not guilty Friday to charges that they gang-raped a 13-year-old girl in a restroom at a Pico Rivera park last month.   Two men who met online for sex are accused of raping a five-year-old girl, the daughter of one of the men. The New York Times reported that a 26-year-old man who lives in the East Village is charged with rape, sodomy, sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of minor. His identity is not being released to conceal the identity of the child. Idaho: Dad Charged With Kidnap, Rape of Daughter
A registered sex offender accused of trying to kill his 12-year-old daughter last month now faces additional charges, including rape and kidnapping. John R. Tuggle, 37, was arraigned Friday on the additional charges. He already had been charged with attempted murder and could face life in prison if convicted. Tuggle had spent nine years in prison for raping his ex-wife's 13-year-old sister and was visiting his daughter for the first time since his release from prison in 2004.

  A BARMAN has said he no longer feels safe in an area of the East End after he was attacked by a pack of Asian youths.
  Sebastian Tarek, 28, an Australian who lives in Whitechapel, was struck in the head and face with a glass bottle. He works at the Royal Oak bar on Colombia Road, and moments after enjoying a drink there he was beaten by a gang. "I was walking down the road, I turned around the corner and I walked into a large group of 15 and 16 year-olds," he told the Advertiser. "First of all I was hit in the mouth and my tooth came out, and the next two blows hit me on the side and the back of the head." • Suspect Charged in Failed London Attacks
  London police on Saturday charged a suspect in the failed July 21 attacks with conspiracy to murder and possession of explosives the first charges to be laid in Britain against any of the would-be bombers. Yassin Hassan Omar, 24, is suspected of trying to bomb a subway train near Warren Street station on July 21. The Metropolitan Police said he was charged with conspiring "with others unknown to murder passengers on the transport for London system." - (UK)
