| New York: Black rapist told police he had planned to kill a white woman The District Attorney's Office would seek a grand jury indictment charging Phillip Grant, 43, with second-degree murder as a hate crime. Grant is black; the victim was white. A hate-crime conviction would increase his minimum sentence. Grant, registered as a Level 3 — or high-risk — sex offender who served 23 years in Sing Sing prison on rape and assault convictions, was picked up a few minutes after police found Concetta Russo Carriero unconscious and bleeding from two stab wounds. She died less than an hour later. Abdulla Abraham, an airport shelter resident who knows Grant, said the suspect often had talked about finding a white woman to take care of him. "He was always talking about getting a white girl to live with. He got tired of living at the shelter," Abraham said. "He was obsessed with that for a while, getting a white woman who had money that he could settle down with. He was determined to find one." - (hatecrimes) |
Negro charged with indecent exposure at public library Police charged a man after a County Public Library patron reported he exposed himself to her twice. Eddie James Richardson, 32, was charged with indecent exposure and placed into the Rowan County Detention Center under a $500 secured bond. The 27-year-old woman was in the lower level of the library when the man first exposed himself to her, police reports said. The woman told the library staff member, who reported the incident to police. The woman then went upstairs in the library, and the man again exposed himself to her. Sex offender not living at address he registered - was evicted Deputies discovered that a convicted sex offender is not living at the address he registered with the state after finding his home empty last month. A deputy checked at the address listed for Joseph Worley Alexander Jr., 50, of 626 W. Marsh St., and found that the home was vacant. The owner of the home said that Alexander had been evicted. Alexander was convicted in 1996 for taking indecent liberties with a minor. He is now wanted for failing to register. Deputies ask anyone who may know Alexander's location to call the department at 704-636-1011. - (Tyrone N. Butts) - (TNB) |
Religion: Honor thy father... Police Arrest Sons, 3 Friends In Death Of Slain Preacher - (Tyrone N. Butts) - (TNB)    Two brothers were charged Friday with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the slaying of their father at his northeast Jackson home.
Rufus Brooks Jr., 20, and Nicholas Brooks, 21, were arrested Friday along with three other Jackson men. Rufus Brooks Sr., a 43-year-old minister, was shot in the chest and stabbed multiple times on March 26.
Roger Brooks, Rufus Brooks Sr.'s twin brother, said while he's relieved arrests were made in the case, it's upsetting that his nephews allegedly were involved. |
Religion: Maryland Won't Hold New Trial for Lowdown Sodomite Catholic Priest BALTIMORE -- The state has decided not to retry a defrocked priest who had his conviction overturned for molesting a boy who later shot him. Maurice Blackwell, 58, was convicted in February of abusing Dontee Stokes, a former altar boy who shot Blackwell in 2002, nearly a decade after the alleged abuse. Two months later, the conviction was thrown out by a judge who said testimony about other alleged victims was inappropriate. Blackwell was stripped of his church authority in 1998 and defrocked by the Vatican last year. |

Parsram Chettana arrested for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl Parsram Chettana, 43, is charged with first-degree rape for the alleged attack on Tuesday night. Police said the young victim was walking home on Chrisler Avenue when Chettana grabbed her from behind.
He's accused of carrying her into a vacant home and raping her before she eventually broke free and got away.
Chettana was arrested Wednesday night. He was arraigned Thursday morning and sent to the Schenectady County Jail. - (White Boy) - (crime) - Citizenship status of suspect not reported |

Black Tampa man convicted in knife attack on White woman * Life in prison - plunged a butcher knife into her gut  Brenda Hill is sure there were angels there that day. She didn't see them, but she heard them when she leaned on her car horn as Matthew A. Fowler plunged a butcher knife into her gut in a Tampa parking lot.
A jury convicted Fowler, 40, of attempted murder nearly two years after he attacked the woman in front of a doughnut shop. "I was surprised," Hill said. "I actually thought, "Well, it's a homeless person. I should try to give him money."'
But when Fowler flashed the 8-inch knife, Hill knew she was in serious trouble. The attack came roughly 20 days after he had been released

Seattle: Police Questioned Black Racist Hours Before Slaying of White Man   A typo proved tragic for Michael Robb. The popular high school tennis coach was driving down a Seattle street when he stopped his car -- possibly to help a young man waving him down. He was killed seconds later by a shotgun blast in what prosecutors say was a racially motivated slaying. The teen charged in his death, Samson Berhe, had been questioned by police several times during the previous week -- including just three hours before the shooting, about a nearby burglary. - (Brewski) - (Black on White) "I got to shoot a cop or shoot a white person, you know, before I leave this world." He called the police "haters" and "all you [expletive] white people." "He made faces, contorted his lips, spoke in different voices, spit and drooled," an officer wrote in a charging document. "He flexed his arms and challenged detectives to fight." |
No death penalty for serial killer maintenance man Nicholas Wiley * Serial sex killer NIcholas Wiley   Nicholas Wiley was the maintenance man at the apartments where Lottie Thompson died. Nicholas Wiley claimed a number of other killings. Police could confirm only two, pregnant Hannah Finnerty, whose body was found in a dumpster outside the apartment complex. And Tammy Passineau, whose body was never found. Gloria Thompson, mother of one of the victims accepts the DA's decision. In fact, she says, she prefers the new option, “not the death penalty. Prosecutor: DNA Match Brings Charges In 2 Rape Cases The arrest of 39-year-old Vincent "Little Man" Williams is part of a new crackdown on sexual offenders.
Police said Williams has a criminal history -- nine arrests or convictions during 21 years -- but none of them for sexual assault."Mr. Williams had no history of any violently assaultive behavior," Sanders said.
Thursday, prosecutors said Williams' semen has connected him to two rape crimes from 1987 and 1995. Investigators said DNA tests showed a perfect match. Rape suspect Arthur Brown arrested Thursday a Syracuse man was arrested and charged with raping a teenage girl at Crouse Hospital. Arthur Brown is charged with first degree rape.
Police say Brown and another man went to the hospital to visit the victim's roommate. The roommate and the man left the room and that's when police say Brown went to the other side of the room and raped the 15-year-old girl. The girl and Brown do not know each other. Specifically, he faces four counts of lewd acts on a minor, four counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, disseminating obscene material to a minor and one count of simple assault and battery. A little over three weeks ago the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety first listened to claims against Bishop Ronald Brown brought by two boys, one 14 year old and the other 17. Sex Offender Re-Arrested After Allegedly Licking Neighbor Girl KANSAS CITY, Mo. --A a convicted sex offender is back behind bars, charged with a host of new sex crimes.
Court documents show that 21-year-old Christopher Alexander was on probation for eight counts of statutory sodomy, but he did not register as a sex offender when he moved into his apartment off Caesar Chavez. He was arrested there after a 15-year-old neighbor girl told police he licked her face, grabbed her, and propositioned her. - (Aryan Barbarian) - (crime) |
