Man wanted for dragging cop is arrested  Cops were looking for 26 year old Darrin Wilkerson in connection with the incident.
The officer pulled over a black Nissan Altima in Queens Village. During the traffic stop, the driver of the car pulled away, dragging the cop with him. The officer was cut on the back of his head and was briefly hospitalized. Tip leads to Queens hit-and-run arrest That night, police found Wilkerson's car, which was being driven by a woman, Krystal Washington, 20, who police believe to be Wilkerson's girlfriend, had been in the car when the dragging incident happened. - (The Bobster) - (crime) |
Man is fatally beaten in city jail  A man arrested on aggravated sexual-battery charges was fatally beaten in the city jail by the teenage son of the woman he allegedly assaulted. Gregory G. "Grasshopper" Robinson, 47, was found by Richmond sheriff's deputies on the floor of his cell, bleeding and unconscious from blunt force trauma to his head and face. Robinson died Tuesday afternoon, Richmond police subsequently charged inmate Shamar Lamont Young, 19, with the killing.- (Aryan Barbarian) |
| Naked "Hispanic" jumps out of his truck and chased teenage girl jogger ELLICOTT CITY, Md. -- A teenage girl told police a naked man jumped out from his pickup truck and chased her while she jogged in Ellicott City. The girl said the man jumped out from a white pickup truck on Kingsbridge Road. Canada: Hearing in Cecilia Zhang case begins BRAMPTON, Ontario -- The preliminary hearing for the man charged with murdering nine-year-old Cecilia Zhang begins today in a Brampton courtroom. Twenty-two-year-old Min Chen, who is charged with first-degree murder in the girl's death, will begin hearing evidence against him. Cecilia was abducted from her Toronto home in October 2003.   Aruba - Authorities in Aruba detained two men Sunday in connection with the disappearance of an Alabama teenager, who went missing nearly a week ago while on a high school graduation trip. Caren Janssen called the men "suspects" in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, 18. Second Chinese defector backs spy claims. Hao Feng Jun, 32, who says he worked as a security officer in Tianjin in China's north, says China has a large spy network operating overseas.
"They spend out businessmen and students out to overseas countries as spies," he told the ABC's Lateline program through a translator.
"They'd send all this intelligence information through from Australia, from North America, Canada and other countries and are reported back. Mr Hao applied for political asylum in February while in Australia as a tourist and he says he is currently on a bridging visa, the program reported. Mr Hao said he believed Former Chinese diplomat Chen Yonglin's claims there is a 1,000-strong spy network operating in Australia.
