Naked (Hispanic) man crawls through dog door, seeks sex
 A Perris man is behind bars after authorities say he crawled naked through a dog door into a neighbor’s house and demanded sex with the woman who lives there. Philip John Garcia, 41, has pleaded not guilty to burglary, indecent exposure and being a felon in possession of a firearm. His bail is set at $130,000 because he has a prior conviction for robbery. The woman’s husband had left for work and she was getting ready for bed when she heard a knock on her bedroom door. The woman, who had her three large dogs with her, opened the door to find a man she recognized as her neighbor standing there completely naked. Garcia, who might have been intoxicated, basically announced that he was there to have sex with her. The woman yelled at Garcia to get out and told him she was calling the police. Garcia left but deputies later found him at his hom lying in his bed, still naked.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating an alleged attack at a park in Okolona. The man who says he was assaulted by a group of teens says he was targeted because of his race. “I was attacked because I am white,” Joseph Roundtree said. He says his walk on Friday evening was anything but safe. “I was walking through the park. I had just gotten out of my car I was walking through the park. They come over there and attack me they were playing basketball it was in broad daylight. It was 5 p.m.,” Roundtree said. “They started hitting me, they threw some kind of a log at me. They grabbed me and they knocked me unconscious. They got me on the ground. They were beating me," Roundtree said. He says a group of African American teens came after him at Okolona Park and stole his cash and cell phones. “It was a simple assault and that’s not right I am very upset over this," Roundtree said. - (Black-on-white)
SC - Lexington County Sheriff's Department detectives arrested a 20-year-old Columbia man whom detectives determined accompanied a 24-year-old Columbia man who remains wanted for shooting a West Columbia woman and leaving her to die on April 10. Detectives arrested 20-year-old Tevin Xavier Deloach on an arrest warrant on a charge of murder. CALERA, AL - A pastor has been arrested for rape, according to Shelby County officials. Harry Vestor Jones, a 49-year-old from Cal was booked. He is charged with first degree rape and being held on a bond of $60,000. The press release says the rape happened on April 2 but was not reported to Calera police until a week later, April 9. Police say after conducting an investigation and concurring with the Shelby County District Attorney's Office, they took Jones into custody on a first degree rape charge. The police department says the victim in the case is a 39-year-old black female who is not a resident of Calera. Police say her identity "cannot be released at this time due to the on-going investigation." Jones is listed as the senior pastor of New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Calera on their website.

Authorities say a man followed a woman into the restroom of a Jefferson Parish library in Westwego and tried to rape her in a bathroom stall. The unidentified victim managed to fight off her attacker, who fled the library, according to Westwego Police Chief Dwayne Munch. Police eventually identified the suspect as Lorenzo Oliver, 25, of Westwego, an arrest report said. The assault allegedly occurred Tuesday at the library branch located at 635 Fourth St., Westwego.

A third man was arraigned today in a 2012 rape and kidnapping on Long Island. Kasim Taylor and two other people are accused of raping and kidnapping a Roosevelt woman last May. According to detectives, the men tied the victim up, put a plastic bag over her head and left her for dead in the woods. The unidentified woman survived the attack. All three suspects are accused of attempted murder, rape and kidnapping. 
Fla. - A woman asleep in her Rockledge home was awakened to a stranger raping her, according to police. The attack occurred last week in the northern part of the city, and police on Thursday released a sketch of the assailant. A man was set on fire inside his SUV in Long Beach last night after reportedly refusing to give a beggar any money. Police say a homeless man set the 63-year-old California man on fire outside a 7-Eleven store by throwing a flammable substance inside the man's parked SUV. The unidentified victim is said to have walked past the panhandler as he requested money. As he got in the car, the man threw a flammable liquid into the vehicle and set it alight. Long Beach Sgt. Aaron Eaton says the man suffered severe burns in the Friday evening attack. Bystanders helped douse the flames and 38-year-old Raymond Sean Clark was arrested a block away. Clark was jailed on suspicion of attempted murder and on some misdemeanor warrants.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Investigators say two men who attempted to invade a home early Friday ended up dead after a gun battle with the homeowner. It happened in the 7500 block of Levi Road at approximately 3:37 a.m. After the exchange of gunfire, both robbers left the home. One of the men, 20-year-old Xavier White, was found wounded on Martha Court. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he later died. Police said the body of 25-year-old Dominik Lavon Council was found along the shoulder of the road in the 5400 block of South Sumac Circle around 5:45 a.m. Police said the homeowner was also hurt in the gunfire. DALLAS – Former NFL wide receiver Sam Hurd apologized in the courtroom as he pleaded guilty to trying to buy cocaine and marijuana to set up a drug-distribution network.
