L.I. Middle School Principal Accused Of Having Homo Sex With Teen Boy He Met Online FREEPORT, N.Y. -- In Nassau County, there is disgust and dismay following the arrest of a middle school principal. John O’Mard, the principal of J.W. Dodd Middle School in Freeport, was arraigned on four counts of criminal sexual act in the third degree. O’Mard, 44, is accused of having sex with a teenager he met online. He hid from the media after pleading not guilty and being released on bail. O’Mard arranged to meet the 16-year-old boy on Sept. 15, 2012 after the pair met on the gay men’s sex website Grindr. They then arranged a meeting to have sex, according to police. |

Three (black) soldiers accused of rape AUSTIN - Three soldiers are accused of raping a woman in an Austin hotel last year. Police said Perris Dumas, 30, Marcus Davis, 32, and Timothy Slack, 33, now face sexual assault charges. Dumas and Davis are staff sergeants at Fort Hood. Slack is a staff sergeant at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. The woman told police she woke up at the Days Inn, 3105 North Interstate 35, on Feb. 25, 2012, according to the arrest affidavit. She said she woke up drunk and partially naked with three men who she did not know. The victim said she repeatedly asked the men for their names, but they would not give them to her, the affidavit said. |
Ex-Cobb Sheriff's Deputy Indicted on Rape, 20 Other Charges He is accused of having sexual encounters with four female inmates at the Cobb County jail and other places for more than three years. A Cobb County grand jury has indicted a former sheriff's deputy from Douglasville on charges of rape, sexual assault against persons in custody, violation of oath by public officer, and other charges. In a warrant, Cobb authorities alleged that 51-year-old Alvin Blake Sutherland made physical contact with an unamed female inmate at the Cobb jail on Jan. 11. He was fired from his job and arrested Jan. 18. But Kim Isaza, the spokeswoman for Cobb District Attorney Vic Reynolds, said this afternoon that the indictment alleges that Sutherland had sexual encounters with not just one, but four female inmates. |
Bond hearing continued for Paine College rape suspect "Jairus Rayshawn" AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The hearing for a man accused of raping a Paine College student earlier this month has been continued pending a mental evaluation. Jairus Rayshawn Dantzler, 18, is being charged with rape, attempted rape, two counts of burglary, armed robbery and possession of a knife on three separate occasions. The Public Defender's Office has 60 days to have the mental evaluation completed. After the evaluation is completed, they will have the bond hearing. Dantzler, a Josey High School student, is accused of two separate incidents on the Paine College campus as well as a home invasion and robbery in February. |
DNA helps Denver prosecutors charge Eddie Sutton in kidnapping, sex assault of woman in 2001 DNA has helped Denver prosecutors charge a man in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a woman 12 years ago. Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey on Thursday formally charged 45-year-old Eddie Simon with felony kidnapping, two counts of felony sexual assault and misdemeanor assault. In the early morning hours of Feb. 24, 2001, a 20-year-old woman was leaving her parents’ house to return to her own home. The charges allege that Simon pulled her into his car and took her to a remote area at the old Lowry Air Force Base site where he sexually assaulted her at knifepoint, said district attorney spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough. |

12 charges filed against man in Tacoma day care sex attack * Day care rape victim speaks about terrifying attack A Pierce County prosecutor filed 12 charges Thursday against a man who is accused of beating and sexually assaulting a woman at a Tacoma day care. Police said Andrake Morris, 18, is accused of beating and sexually assaulting a woman at the Tender Heart Day Care on Monday morning. Morris was arrested later that evening and made his first court appearance on Tuesday. A police source said Morris was also being investigated in connection to other crimes, including sex crimes. “I didn’t want to come out, but the reality is you have to come out. You have to say something. Because if you don’t, then those people can’t be punished,” said Kelli. Her face, eyes and head are still badly swollen from the savage beating. - (Black-on-white) |
District of Columbia cop gets life for murder of his mistress and their 11-month-old daughter The former officer who killed his mistress and left their 11-month-old daughter to die in a hot car in 2011 will spend the rest of his life in jail. Richmond Phillips, who was convicted in January of fatally shooting Wynetta Wright and then leaving their young daughter, Jaylin, to die was sentenced to two life sentences plus 20 years in prison Friday. Wright and her daughter were found dead in May of 2011, shortly before she and Phillips were supposed to appear in court for a child support hearing. Shortly thereafter, the 20-year-old mother was found dead inside Oxon Run Stream Valley Park. Jaylin was later found dead inside a car. |
Two youths arrested in shooting death of 13-month-old Georgia baby in a stroller Two teen boys in this coastal city were under arrest Friday, accused in the fatal shooting of a 13-month-old boy who was in a stroller being pushed by his mother. Aided by a denoscription and a check of school attendance records to determine who was not in classes Thursday, officers searched for the young suspects and took them into custody, police said. The mother told reporters the shooting occurred when one youth demanded money. Spokesman Todd Rhodes, described the shooting as "horrific." Chief Tobe Green identified the older suspect as De'Marquise Elkins, 17, and said he will be treated as an adult in criminal proceedings. The 14-year-old was not identified because of his age. Both face first-degree murder charges, police said. |
24-year-old St. Louis County man charged with raping elderly woman at gunpoint DNA testing has linked a 24-year-old man to the rape and robbery of an elderly woman at gunpoint in June, police said Tuesday. Court records indicate he also was linked to a January 2008 sexual assault of a minor in St. Ann. Dary McCoy, of the 10100 block of Ventura Drive, was charged with six felonies —forcible rape, forcible sodomy, first-degree robbery and three counts of armed criminal action. County police said a woman, over 70 years old, called to say that a man knocked on her door and said he was a repairman for the apartment complex where she lives. Once inside, police said, the man displayed a handgun, then robbed, raped and sodomized her. |
Boulder police arrest sex assault suspect with African name, say there may be more victims A 48-year-old Evans man was arrested Thursday, accused of sexually assaulting a woman he had met at a Boulder bar and then stealing cash and other items from her home. George Osonau Tiba is being held on charges of two counts of sexual assault, one count of second-degree burglary and one count of theft. Because of Tiba’s behavior on the evening of the assault and because of some past incidents involving Tiba, Boulder police said they are concerned that he may have victimized others who have not yet reported the incidents to investigators. |
DeKalb detention officer charged with homo sexual assault of a male inmate The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office arrested one of its own, charging the deputy with sexual assault. The sheriff's office said Detention Officer Zel Mitchell was arrested for allegedly performing inappropriate sex acts with a male inmate at the DeKalb County Jail. Investigators from the Office of Professional Standards said the sex acts were done in exchange for food and other contraband items Mitchell would obtain for the inmate. The inmate said he was not forced into the sex acts. |

Siblings forced St. Louis women into sex work, plea in court says The woman was naked and injured when a visitor first spotted her in October 2010, wedged below the bottom shelf of a closet in a Breckenridge Hills apartment. Police who responded to a 911 call saw “multiple circular burns” on the mentally disabled woman’s arms and shoulders as well as two black eyes and burns on her back and inner thighs, according to court documents. Investigators would soon discover that the woman was one of two who had been held against their will, allegedly forced into prostitution and kept docile with drugs by a pair of siblings from Breckenridge Hills. The disabled woman was forced to sleep and go to the bathroom in the closet, one of those siblings, Carl Mathews, 32, admitted Friday in federal court in St. Louis. |

Tulsa Man Arrested after a 10-year-old girl accused him of molesting her A Tulsa man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a 10-year-old girl accused him of molesting her, according to reports. Brian Keith Smith, Jr., 27, was booked into Tulsa County jail on three counts of child sexual abuse. Police say the girl was forensically interviewed and told detectives Smith forced her to touch him on multiple occasions. According to the arrest report, Smith confessed to at least one act during a one-party consent phone call. The act was said to have taken place in a bedroom, from which police say they recovered possible semen stains. |
Memphis man arrested in rape of 14-year-old girl A Memphis man has been arrested in the rape of a 14-year-old girl, according to police documents. Demarcus McClendon is charged with rape and statutory rape. He is being held on a $95,000 bond. According to police, the incident happened on Dec. 23, 2011. The victim's mother reported the rape to police. The victim said that she was home when two unknown men came in, took her and drove her a short distance away. Both men threatened to shoot her if she didn't comply, then both raped her. |
Teen Surrenders To Police For Alleged Home Invasion, Rape Police say an Aurora teen forced his way into a girl’s southwest suburban Bolingbrook house to sexually assault her last summer. Zachary M. Holland, 18, turned himself in last week, after police obtained a warrant charging him with home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault for the July 30, 2012 incident, according to Lt. Mike Rompa. Around 2:30 that morning a 17-year-old girl walked out of her downstairs bathroom and was grabbed from behind by an intruder. “(He) forced her into the living room and attempted to assault her. She struggled as he began to strike her in the face while threatening to stab her,” Rompa said. |

Between October and November of 2011, prosecutors say Gary Wendale Mincey followed five women home from various locations in DeKalb County, threatened their lives, robbed them, then sexually assaulted them. For six weeks, media reports were filled with denoscriptions of – and police were on alert for – a masked black man in all black clothes with black gloves, sneaking up on women and forcing them to have sex with him. |

George Huggins, 26, also was convicted of the special circumstance of committing a murder during a robbery for the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Jinghong Kang, who was fatally shot in the 1900 block of Webster Street in Downtown Oakland at about 11:30 p.m. on July 18, 2010. In addition, Huggins was convicted of attempted second-degree robbery for trying to rob Hai Huang, a dental assistant who had just cleaned Kang's teeth at her office on Webster Street that night, and of two counts of second-degree robbery for taking items from a man and woman, both 26 at the time, as they were sitting in a parked car in the 1700 block of Telegraph Avenue early the morning of June 21, 2010, several weeks before Kang was killed. |
70-year-old woman robbed at gunpoint in Lyons by three black youths Police in Lyons are crediting an observant neighbor who helped them chase down three people after an elderly woman was robbed at gunpoint. At 1:30 Thursday morning, a neighbor noticed a suspicious car on VanMarter Lane in the Village of Lyons. That neighbor called police and officers followed the car and found three individuals wearing ski masks and carrying guns. Twenty-year-old Karon James, 18-year-old Shaka Nesmith and a 14-year-old were arrested and taken into custody. U.S. defense contractor arrested for passing secrets to Chinese ‘honeypot’ - (Drudge link) A U.S. defense contractor who works in intelligence at the military’s Pacific Command in Hawaii has been charged with passing classified national security information to a 27-year-old Chinese woman he was dating. Benjamin Pierce Bishop, 59, is accused of sending the woman an email in May with information on Pacom’s war plans, nuclear weapons and U.S. relations with international partners, according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Honolulu and unsealed Monday. The complaint goes on to allege that Mr. Bishop told the woman over the telephone in September about the deployment of U.S. nuclear weapons and about the ability of the U.S. to detect other nations’ short- and medium-range ballistic missiles. According to the complaint, Mr. Bishop met the woman at a conference in Hawaii on international military issues. The document does not specify when the conference was held, but it alleges the two began a sexual relationship in June 2011. |
Man accused of killing 80-year-old Cocoa woman arrested The man accused of killing an 80-year-old Cocoa woman and seriously injuring a man who came to her aid Sunday turned himself in to authorities in Virginia on Tuesday. Marcus Antonio Royal, 33, will be charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and burglary with battery under a warrant issued by a Brevard County judge. Royal was released from the Brevard County Jail on Saturday at 10:15 a.m., less than 24 hours before police said he killed Faye Jones. White man shot and killed during a terrifying home invasion A man who was originally from the Jamestown area was shot and killed during a terrifying home invasion in Indianapolis early Friday morning. 67-year-old Thomas Tefft and his wife were in their home drinking coffee and heard a disturbance around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Tefft went to go see what was going on. "The wife of the victim grabbed her cell phone and ran into a back room. She described hearing a pop and a scream. She called police. When we arrived here on scene we found the victim deceased." Police are searching for the stolen car and the suspect who is described as a black man in his 20s. Police looking for additional victims, information on man in sexual assaults King County detectives are looking for additional sexual assault victims as well as information regarding possible attacks by a Level 3 sex offender. Demarcus B. Linwood is a Level 3 registered sex offender suspected of sexual assaults in the Seattle and Shoreline areas. Linwood has been in custody since Feb. 8, and King County Sheriff’s Office Special Assault detectives are attempting to discover if there may be additional victims or people that may have relevant information regarding Linwood. |

Police say 25-year-old Samwell Fowler never registered as a sex offender. Fowler was charged in 2005 with second-degree sexual misconduct and ordered to join the sex offender registry. Police say he never did and now has two new counts of enticement of a minor against him. Police say two girls, ages 11 and 13, had been dropped off earlier at the mall by their father to hang out with friends when Fowler approached them and offered to drive them home. |

The lawsuit, filed Monday in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court, seeks unspecified damages on behalf of Isaac and Iris Bakar and their three children, ages 10, 7 and 4. He was charged with three counts of second-degree aggravated harassment and one charge of endangering the welfare of a child. |

Police say fired maintenance man Robert Earl Walter, 54, then fled the scene of the crime in a pickup truck. Suspect in Chattanooga police officer shooting nabbed in manhunt A 39-year old Chattanooga man was arrested this morning in connection with the shooting of a Chattanooga Police Department officer. Celvin “Squeaky” Houston is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, Chief Bobby Dodd said this morning. Houston was arrested without incident. Area law enforcement agencies and local pastors assisted in the massive manhunt for Houston. Officer William McMillan, who has worked for the police department for six years, suffered a nonlife-threatening injury after he was shot while trying to break up a disorder around 2219 E. 26th Street Court.
