Suspected Fugitive Mexican Killer of LA Deputy Arrested by Mexican Police
  LOS ANGELES - A fugitive captured by Mexican police in the 2002 slaying of a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy will likely be extradited in the next two months, and prosecutors plan to seek a life sentence, the district attorney said Friday.
Mexican authorities arrested Jorge Arroyo Garcia Thursday. Arroyo Garcia, a Mexican national who also goes by the first name Armando, is the lead suspect in the shooting death of Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy David March, 33, during a traffic stop in Irwindale, Calif., in April 2002. Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley said in an interview that prosecutors want to seek the death penalty. But they can't because of a 1978 treaty between the United States and Mexico that allows Mexico to deny extradition if a person faces the death penalty. - (Newsroom) - (crime) - (Invasion!)

From what I understand, he has been pretty much a despicable piece of society from youth. From what I know, he had been deported on three different occasions, different charges. He had weapon charges — he had a weapon; selling drugs — he's a methamphetamine dealer; and just six months before Dave was shot, he was wanted in connection (with) two different, unrelated attempts of murder.

A Hanover Park man convicted of raping and murdering 
DENVER - The Nuggets newest player will have to register as a sex offender when he arrives in Denver. Ruben Patterson came to the Nuggets in a four-team trade Thursday just before the expiration of the NBA trade deadline.
Patterson has been involved in a number of off-court issues during his NBA career. The incidents include a 2001 episode in which reached a plea deal in a case involving the attempted rape of his children's nanny.
As part of a plea deal in that case, Patterson must register as a sex offender in the state where he lives. He was also sentenced to 15 days in jail. 
Sydney Simpson, 20, was granted a continuance last month on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident at Everglades School last year.
She was arrested in January 2005 after refusing to stop yelling at officers outside the school. Police were there responding to a fight that broke out after a basketball game. 
A Sudanese man has been forced to take a goat as his "wife", after he was caught having sex with the animal. The goat's owner, Mr Alifi, said he surprised the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders. They ordered the man, Mr Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Mr Alifi. "We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together," Mr Alifi said.
