Ernesto Romo-Hernandez Charged for Beating, Raping 5-year-old Child An unthinkable crime struck a Tattnall County family Sunday night. Police say this man, Ernesto Romo-Hernandez, broke into a home on Highway 196 and beat and raped a five-year-old child who lived there.
Police are charging Hernandez with kidnapping, child molestation and burglary.
This afternoon a judge denied bond for Hernandez. Tonight he's in the Tattnall County jail.

UK: Black boyfriend gets life for murdering his blonde English sex slave - Kelly Sinnot had a tattoo on her back saying "Property of Flavius"  A black murderer who strangled his girlfriend with a cord from his games console just after having sex with her has been jailed for life. Jermaine Flavius, 23, of Islington, wrapped the body of Kelly Sinnot in his lounge rug and dumped her in a field.
He pleaded guilty at the start of his trial at the Old Bailey. Flavius had affairs with several other women and treated Miss Sinnot as a sex object and a punch bag. She had a tattoo on her back which read "Property of Flavius". To hide her identity, Flavius smashed her facial bones with a broom handle and a wooden tool. Bogalusa Mother Lakeisha Accused in Death of Infant Son in clothes dryer * 3-month-old dies after being put in clothes dryer BOGALUSA, La. (AP) _ A Louisiana woman has been accused of killing her three-month-old son by putting him in a clothes dryer and turning it on.Investigators say 18-year-old Lakeisha Adams called police to her home to report that someone had killed her child. When officers arrived, they found the baby on a sofa. The coroner says the child had third-degree burns and head wounds. Police say Adams later admitted putting the infant in the dryer and turning it on, but did not say why. Tyrone Named In Downtown Carjacking, Rape
 Police say they know who carjacked, robbed and raped a woman as she went to work downtown Monday morning.
Warrants have been issued for: Tyrone Franklin, aka Yogi. Franklin is wanted for two counts of aggravated robbery, kidnapping and rape. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous because a shotgun was used in the alleged crime. The woman told police she was paying to park for the day when a man with a shotgun forced her back into her car. Police say he made her go to an ATM in Avondale and withdraw cash. Then, at some point, the suspect raped the woman, police said. - (-88-) - (crime) |
Fairfax Negro Wed 7 Times Faces Charge Of Bigamy  The Fairfax County man who has been married seven times -- and divorced five -- was indicted in Chesapeake, Va., yesterday on a charge of felony bigamy, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Charles E. "Ed" Hicks, 61, previously was charged in Fairfax with marrying his seventh wife, Sandra Goldin Hicks of the Alexandria area, without divorcing his sixth wife, Julie Flint Hicks, with whom he lived in Chesapeake in the late 1990s. Julie Hicks turned to Chesapeake authorities to focus on her simple quandary:

Black Md. inmate executed for 1991 murder of White woman for $10  A condemned inmate was executed for the fatal shooting of a woman that was witnessed by her grandchildren at a Baltimore County shopping center in 1991.
Wesley E. Baker, 47, died by injection despite arguments from death penalty opponents. Baker, a black man convicted of killing a white victim in Baltimore County, fit many of the purported disparities revealed by the study. Baker was convicted of fatally shooting Jane Tyson, 49, for $10 at a mall in

Black pleads guilty, mentally ill in grudge killing of White ex-coworker * 12 deputies needed to subdue murder suspect in court  Pa. -- A man charged with killing a co-worker seven years after he allegedly heard the victim tell a racist joke pleaded guilty but mentally ill on Monday. Before entering his plea, Stanford A. Douglas Jr., 30, of Philadelphia, disrupted his Bucks County Court hearing by overturning chairs, cursing and demanding to be sent home.
When Douglas returned to the courtroom hours later, he calmly told Judge David Heckler, "I would like the death penalty instead of serving in prison." William Berkeyheiser, 62, was shot to death March 27 after he opened the front door of his home.

High School Security Guard Accused Of Touching Students Inappropriately  HIALEAH, Fla. -- A high school security guard is on the other side of the law after allegations of inappropriate conduct have come out. Pierre Laurent is under investigation by Miami-Dade County school board police
after four American High Senior High School students accused him of touching
them inappropriately and behaving in an inappropriate manner.
Laurent, a security guard at the school, was arrested in January for fleeing and eluding police, but no charges were ever filed.

African Deputy President Zuma Charged With Rape Jacob Zuma, the former deputy president of South Africa who is already facing trial for corruption, was today charged with rape.Although Mr Zuma will remain No. 2 in the governing African National Congress, the charge is likely to end any lingering hope that he could succeed Thabo Mbeki as president when he steps down after two terms in 2009. Mr Mbeki fired Mr Zuma in June after a court found his financial adviser guilty of corruption, and he was charged on two counts of corruption shortly afterwards.
