Former choir director guilty of molesting 3 sisters In the end, it came down to his word against theirs: The once up-and-coming Philadelphia gospel singer pitted against three young girls who testified that he'd sheltered them, gained their trust - and then molested them. I t took roughly two days of deliberation, but yesterday a jury determined that the girls - sisters who were 5, 11, and 17 years old at the time of the incidents - were telling the truth. They each told the jury that Joseph had stuck his fingers into their vaginas. It convicted Otis Joseph, 29, a former choir director, on all but one of the sexual-assault charges against him. Yesterday's verdict was another blow to Joseph, who already had been convicted of raping two sixth-grade girls who had been his music students. - (reader link) - (crime) |

HOMELESS JACK ON NEEDED SPIRITUAL/RELIGIOUS REVIVAL -
by H. Millard © 2005 "Man, I've said it a thousand times before," said Homeless Jack. "Whites won't survive unless we go through a true sea-change spiritual/religious revival. "Political and social movements, if not based on spiritual or religious truths, won't save us. That's what many have tried in the past. They thought they were winning, but ultimately they failed. It was inevitable. If you don't change the spiritual and religious zeitgeist of White people so that the people's beliefs can withstand all manner of adversity and attacks and so that the people will struggle against all odds for what is right, and never give up, you'll fail. . - (H. Millard index) - (Commentary) |
