Governor: Fence Should Be Built Along Entire Mexico Border DENVER -- Governor Bill Owens said he supports building a fence along the U.S. -Mexico border to keep track of who's entering the country. The governor's remarks were made on a radio show Thursday, called for putting up a "nonfatal fence that had monitors on it."
Owens' comments come as Congressman Tom Tancredo and some state lawmakers work
on a possible ballot initiative for next year seeking to ban illegal immigrants
from receiving public services in Colorado. Arizona voters have already passed
such a ban.

| Iranian?-american cabbie Behrouz Nahidmobarekeh caught putting his dried feces on food at grocery store A north Texas man was caught on tape sprinkling his own feces on food at a grocery store. Behrouz Nahidmobarekeh, 49, was convicted in Dallas on Wednesday. Prosecutors had store surveillance videotapes from a Fiesta grocery store of two incidents in July. "He takes his own fecal matter and spreads it to the wind over the food going to the public," prosecutor Will Ramsey said in court. "It's just so disgusting and, you know what, people get hurt." The taxi driver was charged with tampering with consumer products. Former member of Catholic order arrested on child sex charges for homosexually raping two boys * Edward Anthony Holmes WASHINGTON A former member of a Catholic religious order is arrested on charges he sexually assaulted children at a youth facility in Boston he supervised in the late 1970s.Police in Washington D-C arrested 64-year-old Edward Anthony Holmes this morning on a fugitive warrant. He could be extradited from Washington to Boston to face child molestation charges.
Holmes is a former brother in the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Dangerous Black Florida suspect sought in slaying of White surfer   Columbia police and U.S. marshals are looking for a Florida man they say killed a 25-year-old surfer in that state last month. Randy Demarco Carter, 22, allegedly fled the state with an accomplice after the
Sept. 23 fatal shooting of Austin Paine near Indialantic, Fla., a coastal
community east of Orlando. Authorities in Brevard County, where the slaying
occurred, said it might have been drug-related.
Carter, who goes by the street name Crime, is believed to have friends and family in Columbia. Carter is described as black, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 230 pounds. A photo released by Columbia police shows Carter’s hair in cornrows, but Harrell said it’s likely Carter’s hair has been cut.

Sports: Girl's Basketball Coach Changes Plea, Sentenced To Prison XENIA, Ohio -- An area girl’s basketball coach made a surprise plea inside a Greene County courtroom on Wednesday. Steven Moody was scheduled to go on trial, but pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual battery for inappropriately touching one of his 15-year-old players. Moody was a coach for a select team, not a school. Girls on that select team are from across the Miami Valley.
Officials said Moody pleaded guilty and was found guilty of giving one of his 15-year-old players alcohol and then taking advantage of her sexually in May, while she was at his house. - (more sports) |
Sports: Oregon Teacher, Coach Investigated For Sexual Misconduct A Tigard High School teacher and coach who retired this month after 20 years on the job is under investigation for sexual misconduct, police say. Ken Johnson, 55, taught health at the school and coached the girls' basketball team since 1988. He also coached the boys and girls track and field teams. | Chicago: Cops seek black serial rapist in murder A total of 10 attacks in recent months, including one that resulted in the death of 25-year-old Crystal Polk, led police to identify a pattern linked to one suspect, officials said. But they said that the violent incidents go back to August. Victims range in age from 30 to 50, said Detective Jeffrey Roberts, who investigates sex crimes. The only obvious trait the victims have had in common has been that they live or sleep alone. All of the assaults have taken place between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., Roberts said. In some cases, the victims awoke to find the man--clad in a black mask--already on top of them in bed. Others awoke when he entered the bedroom, Roberts said. One woman was abducted from her porch and dragged to a rear staircase, he said. In five of the attacks, the women were raped, he said. In the other cases, the women were able to fight the man off. Wigger Suspect in Xbox Death Pleads Guilty * Ref: Six friends slain in Deltona     DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- One of the four men accused in the 2004 beating deaths of six people pleaded guilty to murder Thursday. Robert Anthony Cannon, 19, of Deltona, agreed to testify against the other defendants to avoid the death penalty and now faces life in prison without parole. Cannon pleaded guilty to 14 charges, including six counts of capital
first-degree murder, five counts of abusing a human corpse, one count of armed
burglary of a dwelling and one count of a conspiracy to commit a crime. Jerone Hunter and Michael Salas, both 19, and Troy Victorino, the 28-year-old alleged mastermind, also are charged in the deaths. The four allegedly barged into the Deltona home with baseball bats and
bludgeoned the victims, ages 17 to 34, and a small dog.

"Blue" Black Man Sentenced to only 10 Years in Death of White Portsmouth Woman  The man convicted of killing a woman in Portsmouth, then dumped her body in Newport News, will spend 10 years in jail for the crime. James Nutter, 26, was sentenced Tuesday by a Portsmouth judge.It was April, 2003, when the body of 22-year old Katrina Marie Boscia was discovered in the woods near a Warwick Boulevard go-go club where she worked.
