For anyone who ever wondered just how much more likely blacks or Hispanics are than whites to commit various crimes, the answers are here. It takes hard work to pry the facts out of the reluctant grip of federal crime databases. But the results are eye-opening:

Mom, suspect killed in carjacking, shooting * Police ID Deadly Cobb Carjacker   Kimberly D. Boyd took her son to preschool Monday morning, then dropped by a bank before heading to her office in north Cobb County.
Minutes later, her routine was shattered, and sometime before 9:30 a.m. she was struggling for her life with carjacker Brian O'Neil Clark as her Toyota Sequoia raced south. The kidnapping ended with the Acworth woman dead and the carjacker fatally shot by a passer-by. Boyd died instantly when her SUV was broadsided by a cement truck. Within seconds, the man driving Boyd's car was also dead — shot by Shawn Roberts, 31, who had seen Boyd fighting the man and followed the car. "Roberts hollered at [the carjacker], 'Stay where you are. Stay where you are.'"
The carjacker ran toward a gas station and Roberts chased him. He told police the man turned a gun toward him, and he had to do something. Police questioned Roberts before releasing him without filing charges. - (NNN forum) - (crime) - (Black-on-White) |

Man Charged With Trying To Rape Manchester Woman A Manchester man was charged with attempted rape, accused of attacking a woman who was walking her dog over the weekend along the Merrimack River.
Police said that Andre Felton, 42, has a history of violent sexual behavior and served 13 years in prison in New Jersey for two kidnappings and rapes. They said that this weekend, Felton struck up a conversation with a 20-year-old woman who was walking her dog on Elm Street and stayed with her as she walked toward the Merrimack River.
"They then ended up at the building behind 250 Commercial St., where she claims the individual attempted to sexually assault her," Sgt. Lloyd Doughty said. "She was able to fight off that attack. The individual then fled." - (crime) - (White Boy) |
Sports: High School coach, guard accused of trying to assault Girl in girls' shower  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A security guard and coach at Ribault High School was arrested and accused of assaulting a student on school grounds. The 14-year-old girl told police she was tricked into entering a
shower at the school, where Tracy Wright allegedly demanded that she perform sex
acts on him.
"Apparently, the suspect was able to take the victim to an area on campus where he felt confident that he would be able to complete the assault." Wright, 34, asked the girl to help him find some other students who were causing trouble in class. The victim said he asked her to look in the girls' shower, then he followed her in and "started kissing her against her will." 2 Men Charged In Local Musician's Slaying * Longtime Musician Shot To Death  INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- Two men have been charged in the slaying of a longtime member of the local symphony. Michael Jones and Richard Jones were charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Steven Peters at his home. The suspects are not related.
Iit appears the men were allegedly trying to rob the home, but Peters fought back.
"While they are kicking in the back door, the victim is lying on the floor. He opens fire -- one of the suspects is hit; as he flees, he says he heard another shot, and the victim is shot and killed." There is blood evidence that places the suspects at the scene.

Teen Sentenced For Roles In Road-Rage Stabbing - Teens To Serve only 6 Months  COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Three teenagers who pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter were sentenced Monday. Three juveniles were accused in the fatal stabbing of a Gahanna father about six
months ago. Jason Schmalenberger was stabbed with a knife several times near Parsons Avenue
and Hamilton Road on April 3. The teens were passengers in a car driven by

Man Accused Of Raping Missing Girl Begins Trial * Jury Selection Begins In Case Of Missing Girl, Rape  COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Emily Rimel disappeared from her bed in December. Nine months later, charges have been filed, but there is still no sign of the girl. Next week will mark a new chapter in the case. That's when Lindsay Bruce is scheduled to stand trial on charges of kidnapping and rape. Rimel disappeared from her Madison Township home shortly before Christmas and hasn't been seen since. Less than two weeks after her disappearance, Bruce, a Rimel family friend, was arrested. Police said DNA linked him to the 5-year-old girl. Arguello gets two life sentences for murdering white wife and baby  Sitting at times with his face in his hands – other times looking ahead – double-murderer Damian Michael Arguello, 27, received two life sentences.
Arguello strangled and stabbed his wife and 16-month-old son to death on Jan. 18 at their home. Crystal Arguello, 25, and Rayven Arguello were killed in a bedroom of their home.
Damian Arguello pled guilty July 15 to two counts of first-degree murder, avoiding a trial and the death penalty. He He admitted to police he had smoked crack cocaine the night of the murders. Doug and Mary Lynn Schartzer, Crystal’s parents, spoke at the hearing. - (War Eagle) |
Frank Perez arrested for murder of 95-year-old woman Betty Glenton They believe Perez broke into Glenton's home and then murdered her. Officials also say she was possibly sexually assaulted, but they're still waiting for the test results to confirm that. - (aryan_barbarian) |

Dollar General killer Roy Lee McDuffie sentenced to death   "Janice Schneider and Dawniell Beauregard were slaughtered," Circuit Judge S. James Foxman said while imposing the sentence, more than two months after the trial began. "The crime was heinous, atrocious and cruel. It was conscienceless, pitiless and unnecessarily torturous." Roy Lee McDuffie showed no emotion, maintaining his posture throughout the trial, only rocking back in his chair when the judge announced his ruling. The state asserted in its case that McDuffie, a manager trainee at the store, killed the women to rob about $6,000 because he was financially desperate. Man Wanted In Durham For Assaulting Female DURHAM, N.C. -- Durham police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a domestic assault that left a female with several broken bones in her face and ruptured blood vessels in her eyes. Police have charged 20-year-old Deangelo John Ferrell with first-degree kidnapping, assault by strangulation, assault inflicting serious injury and communicating threats for an assault that happened Friday afternoon. - (Tyrone N. Katrina Evacuee Suspect In Acworth Rape? ACWORTH -- A man who beat and raped an Acworth woman told her he was a Hurricane Katrina evacuee from New Orleans with nothing to lose. Investigators released a sketch of the suspect, who told the woman his family was wiped out in the hurricane.
The woman was leaving for work when she encountered a knife-wielding man on her front porch, Acworth Police spokesman Wayne Dennard said.
The man beat the woman and raped her, then forced her to drive to an ATM to withdraw money. The woman jumped out of the car and ran into the bank, and the man fled in her car. - (-88-, Tyrone) - (crime) |

Oviedo made sexually explicit comments to the girl when she stopped at a White Hen on her way home; he then obtained condoms from the store with the manager's approval and took the girl into the stockroom where he raped her twice, the lawsuit claims.At other times, Oviedo made similar comments to other girls who visited the store with the manager's encouragement, said Hall Adams, an attorney for the girls' parents.
