Two 14-year-old girls had accused DeAngelo Riddle of raping them on school grounds DeAngelo Riddle admitted then and continues to admit that he had sex with the girls on school property. He called it "consensual". The girls called it forced. Hearing both sides during trial this fall, a Hamilton County magistrate acquitted Riddle of rape. One girl told school officials she had missed class because Riddle lured her to a storage area in the school, where he forced her to have sex. And, she told school officials, he did the same thing to her best friend three weeks earlier. School officials questioned that girl, and she, too, accused Riddle of raping her in the boys' locker room. Within two weeks, school officials expelled Riddle from school for one year. - (Tyrone N. Thistle in the snow, The Anders Gustsfsson case - (c) 2004 by Madkins This last day of the year, the early morning brought fog and overcast skies. What clouds appeared were blue and quick moving with a dull yellow haze behind them. As the hours pass to midday the fog slowly becomes thicker. The thistle field in the snow blends with the houses along the two lane road in front of my door. The cars lights slice the fog with a mixture of tree limbs and wet bark on either side through a light mist. I put on my rain coat zipping to the collar and then close the four snaps before pulling the hood over my head. I leave the house cross the road and walk into the white field glanding back a time or two to watch the lights fad away. I find the river bank and walk down the steps to the footpath that runs along the bank. I look up the river(Scioto)through the fog and see the silver sheen of thin ice over the water. As I walk I see just a few lights on in the big houses on the opposite side. Ahead of me the river widens and turns to the right heavy wooded on both banks. There is no wind, there is only silence. - (more at link) |
Inherent Autonomy is the intrinsic nature of the human condition - by Sartre "Humanity has succumbed to the momentum of mediocrity. The modern age has forsaken the core values that created Western Civilization. The principles of meaningful social relationships have been relinquished to a reign of terror - Democratic Rule. What you get is the acquiescence of the mob to the dictates of the elites. Americans are especially afflicted with the ailment of amnesia. A country founded upon the prenoscript of liberty, has surrendered to the insanity of pluralism. The loss of emancipation is a direct result of relinquishing our Inherent Autonomy..." |

Settlement Reached in Law School Shootings by crazed Nigerian Migrant ROANOKE, Va. -- A law school agreed Thursday to pay $1 million to settle four lawsuits over a deadly shooting rampage by a struggling student. The lawsuits accused the Appalachian School of Law of ignoring repeated warnings that Peter Odighizuwa was a threat before he opened fire in 2002, killing the dean, a professor and a student and wounding three other students. Odighizuwa pleaded guilty earlier this year and is serving six life sentences. The plaintiffs had argued that the school should have foreseen the violence because the 46-year-old Odighizuwa -- who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia -- had a history of outbursts, threats and other disruptive behavior. |
Sports: Man Sought In Slaying Of Football Player TAMPA - As friends and family gathered in Port Tampa late Thursday to remember football standout Kwane Doster, police scoured north Tampa neighborhoods, where they think his killer could be hiding. A murder warrant was issued for Rodney Roman, who detectives believe fatally shot Doster on Sunday, said a police spokesman. Doster, a Vanderbilt University football player who rushed for 4,617 yards while at Robinson High School, died after being shot once in the chest. Police have said ``trash talk'' between the occupants of an orange Infiniti sedan and the car Doster was riding in led to the shooting. - (Tyrone N. Butts) - (more sports) |
