Suspected Ringleader Denies Role in Xbox Slayings  The man accused of being the ringleader of a brutal mass murder told a friend he is innocent and has an alibi.Troy Victorino, 28, said he was at a local bar when police claim he and three other men armed with baseball bats burst into a home and attacked six people. Victorino, Michael Salas, 19, and 18-year-olds Jerone Hunter and Robert Anthony Cannon are charged with six counts of first-degree murder and other felonies. The four men are accused of bursting into a home and slaying the occupants because Victorino allegedly claimed victim Erin Belanger possessed his Xbox game system, lost when he was kicked out of a vacant home owned by her grandmother. |
Neb. Mom Seeks Justice for Son's Death at hands of murderous "Hispanic" bank robbers    TILDEN, Neb. -- To Janie Heuson, her 19-year-old son is the neglected first victim of a gang that committed one of the deadliest bank robberies in U.S. history. Police believe Travis Lundell was strangled in August 2002 to test the mettle of Jose Sandoval, Erick Vela and Jorge Galindo, who only a month later burst into a U.S. Bank branch in Norfolk and killed five people in a matter of seconds. A fourth man acted as a lookout. Yet no one has been directly charged with Lundell's death. "I want it on record who did it," Heuson said of her son's death. The inmate, Roque Moreno, said Vela told him he strangled Lundell while the others held his legs and kicked him. "They were testing him to see if he had the courage necessary to kill if he needed to," Moreno said through a court interpreter. |

Fake "Hate Crimes" - Lesbian ex-Prof who faked "hate" vandalism gets a year POMONA, Calif. -- A former college professor convicted of staging a hate crime by spray-painting her own car with racist slurs was sentenced Wednesday to a year in prison. Kerri Dunn, 40, was convicted in August of filing a false police report and attempted insurance fraud, and had faced up to three years. The visiting psychology professor at Claremont McKenna College claimed her car was targeted March 9 in a hate crime while she was speaking at a campus forum on racial tolerance. The judge who earlier had ordered Dunn to undergo psychological testing said Wednesday she has "severe mental illness," |
| Miami Weatherman Pleads Guilty to Trying to Lure 14-year-old boy for Sodomite Sex A longtime South Florida meteorologist pleaded guilty Friday to using a computer to arrange a sexual encounter with someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy. Bill Kamal appeared in federal court in Miami to enter his plea Friday, at times smiling and mouthing words to friends at the hearing. |

Accused African American rapist appears in court Stanley Vernard Wells, the man accused of raping a woman in her Palo Alto home Nov. 5, appeared briefly in court Monday afternoon. His attorney waived arraignment and Wells will appear again in court Nov. 22.
Wells, 44, did not speak. A tall, thin African American man with full beard, Wells was dressed in a jail jumpsuit and his hands and feet were shackled.

| Omaha Police are keeping on file the ‘dragnetted’ DNA of at least 10 black men ruled out as suspects in connection with an unsolved serial rape case Police launched what critics are calling a "DNA dragnet" in June, asking several black employees of the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) to "voluntarily" submit DNA samples after the fourth in a series of what they believe are related rapes dating back to September 2002. |

Migrant Janitor Reymundo Ortiz pleads not guilty: Judge orders rape suspect to forfeit passport A former custodial supervisor at Swampscott High School pled not guilty to charges he sexually assaulted two of his co-workers and raped another co-worker. At his arraignment Reymundo Ortiz, 47, was flanked by two women who attempted to shield him from news cameras. When Ortiz appeared in front of the judge one of the women pushed her way to the other side of the courtroom and started waving her coat wildly to hide his face from public view. Ortiz was arrested over the weekend after charges surfaced that he raped one of his female subordinates and sexually assaulted two other subordinates at Swampscott High School after school hours .He allegedly told one of the women in Spanish: "Every other woman that has worked here has been mine, and you are too proud — that's your problem." Ortiz, whose head was covered with coats, at one point kicked and damaged a television camera that had been placed on the ground. He and members of his family swore at and made obscene gestures to reporters and photographers. |

Attorneys for three alleged participants in a smuggling operation that left 19 people dead suggested Wednesday that the victims were killed by fellow illegal immigrants who turned against them as conditions inside a sweltering tractor-trailer became unbearable. The allegations were made by a survivor who also said other immigrants had suggested cutting up the body of a 5-year-old victim in a grisly attempt to signal for help.

Ohio -- A former director of a Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a young boy, becoming the second mentor from the organization to be convicted of sex crimes in the past two years. James Russell, 66, pleaded guilty to 25 sex-abuse charges involving a boy he mentored for several years at a Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter in central Ohio. On four more rape charges, Russell entered an additional plea in which he said he was innocent but sought to avoid trial. Russell faces up to 144 years in prison, but prosecutors said they would recommend 10 years because of his age. Last year, Scott Wagner, another mentor from the central Ohio organization, was sentenced to 89 years in prison for
