UK: Fijian Rugby player is jailed for rape attack  A
Newport rugby player got a seven-year jail term for raping
a woman in an alley in what a judge described as a "degrading
and terrifying" attack. Fijian Watisoni Leqeti was found guilty unanimously
at Shrewsbury Crown Court. He had denied raping the 24-year-old woman in the early
hours of February 24 after following her from her friend's flat, before pushing
her into an alley. The judge said that Leqeti had subjected the woman to a
"degrading, forceful and terrifying rape". Leqeti had claimed that
it was the woman who had pulled him into the alley and initiated sex, but the

Quadruple Slaying Draws 4 Life Sentences for Edward Herrera A
man who admitted binding six people
with duct tape and shooting them in the head has been rewarded with life in prison.
Edward Herrera, 52, pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder earlier
this month and was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences plus 48 years.
Two people survived the shootings at the home of Herrera's estranged girlfriend,
Rose Amador, who was
among those killed. The shooting was Denver's worst mass killing in more than
a decade. |

Tran Sy Tuan convicted in restaurant killings hangs himself  MONTREAL
- A man convicted of slitting two men's throats
while robbing a Harvey's restaurant in Montreal eight years ago has
killed himself. Tran Sy Tuan, who shocked the city when he killed two former
co-workers in the fast-food restaurant, was found hanged in his cell. He died
almost eight years to the day after he led a pair of teenagers on the botched
robbery at the restaurant where he once worked. Tran was serving a life
sentence after being convicted of first-degree murder in the deaths of Guy
Desmarais, 44, and Robert Pinto,
32, on Oct. 28, 1996. A third employee, Annie

Solomon Islands-born 'Sorcerer' Joseph Saqu, 44, found guilty to three counts
of rape Saqu befriended four women on Brisbane railway platforms and at shopping centres, convincing them he had magical powers by performing sleight of hand tricks. The court was told Saqu would win the women's confidence and go to their homes, placing a five cent coin on their bodies and then eventually in their vaginas. Under Queensland law, this constitutes rape. He promised the women they would be healed of illnesses and would become wealthy after the coin ceremony. Curtis gets life for casual cold-blooded murder of Georgia woman during purse-snatch A
man was sentenced to life in prison Friday for murdering a Georgia tourist in
a case that drew national attention when it was profiled in an Oscar-winning HBO
documentary. Juan Curtis, 26, received a mandatory life prison term for
the first-degree murder and armed robbery of Mary
Ann Stephens. She and her husband were outside the motel when Curtis
walked up, shot her once in the head and took her purse. The judge also added
six months to the 10-year sentence of getaway driver Jermel Williams, 25,

Leroy
Charged With Indecent Exposure with children near an elementary school Leroy
Felton, Jr. was arrested in connection with a series of suspected indecent
exposure incidents near an elementary school. Police say they responded to a call
from students at Park View Elementary School
in reference to possible indecent exposures. While en route to the school the
responding officer was stopped by another alleged victim who was able to point

"Northside
Rapist" and pervert Derrick Robins found guilty of all 14 counts - was tied
to 30 rapes  Prosecutors
put Derrick Robins on trial this week in connection with three assaults,
two of which resulted in the rapes of women.
The charges included two rapes, two kidnappings, and several counts of armed robbery.
Investigators have said they believe Robins is behind as many as 30 assaults
that happened at apartment complexes. Robins was sentenced to four consecutive
life terms. A 73-year-old woman
raped said she is 99% sure that

IQ is below 70, the threshold for mental retardation (based

has been on death row for the murder of his estranged wife, Gloria,
and former Sharpsburg police Chief Wayne Hathaway.

Police searching for low-down black fag who raped a 16-year-old boy  Police
need help identifying a black who abducted and homo-sexually assaulted a 16-year-old
boy in southeast Houston. The boy was walking home when the man pulled
up near him in a pickup. The man struck him and forced him into the truck, then
drove him to where he threatened him with a knife and sexually assaulted him.
The boy struggled with the fag, knocking the knife away, but the black then pulled
out a gun. After the assault, the homo fled. The suspect is described as black.

Woodard and Lori Franklin were convicted of a combined 49 charges of
rape, sodomy and child abuse. The two were accused of raping and sexually
abusing five young students as part of their cult-like institution. "I
hope you pay for what you did, I hope you burn in hell for what you did,"
said one person. One victim gave details of their rituals which included
a form of African marriage. "They picked out
books showing that an African relationship was okay at
the age of 12 or 13," said the victim. The girl added that she lost

prosecutors say they'll ask for the death penalty against Alfonso Rodriguez
Jr., the man accused of killing North Dakota college student Dru
Sjodin. Rodriguez was released from prison last year after serving
23 years for stabbing a woman and trying to abduct her off the street. Sjodin
was kidnapped last November as she left her job and her body was found April 17

immigrant Horow Omah Hagi only gets 18 month prison term for rape Forty-three-year-old
Horow Omah Hagi was accused of following the woman to her Lisbon Street
apartment on July 10 and forcing her to have sex. The judge told Hagi that because
he is a Somali immigrant, he will likely be deported after he serves his
time. The victim spoke in court about how the rape has affected her life. "I
wish he didn’t have the right to do what he did to me," she said, her
