Police are searching for a child molester who preys on boys with learning difficulties by pretending to be a private investigator and then luring them to a secluded area and raping them. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches, 250 pounds, 35 to 45 years old, with a gray and black beard.

WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- Watsonville police are searching for a man who allegedly molested a 12-year-old girl. Police say Jose Juan Ramirez of Watsonville was spotted in the Santa Cruz Mountains over the weekend but they couldn't catch him. The young victim told police she was sexually assaulted more than once by a man she knew from her neighborhood. SAN JOSE -- The man police arrested Monday in the brazen kidnapping of a 9-year-old girl.

Janette TamayoSAN JOSE, Calif. — A 9 year-old girl was taken from her home late Friday afternoon by an intruder who apparently broke in through a window and hid inside the house. The man proceeded to beat the girl’s mother and 13 year-old brother. Authorities described the suspect as short and in his early 20s.     Mexican Farmworker charged with killing woman during attempted rape
Jacinto Mercado CarrilloMexifornia, Oroville - Prosecutors filed charges accusing a Gridley farmworker of killing a woman during an attempted rape in that city last weekend. Jacinto Mercado Carrillo, 39, was arraigned in Butte County Superior Court on a charge of murder with "special circumstances' that could potentially carry the death penalty. Carrillo is accused of fatally striking Antonia Nicholas, 54, of Yuba City, in the head with a piece of wood during an attempted rape. Speaking through a court-interpreter, the Spanish-speaking suspect told Judge James Reilley that he "read the charges and understood them.' Carrillo is a native of Mexico who had been working as a seasonal farm laborer in Gridley about two months before his arrest. - (NNN Norcal)

Gilbert Yliz, 22, is accused of breaking into a Day Valley home Tuesday night and raping a woman.
He had posted $100,000 bail with the help of his mother, Alicia Chavez. He faces nine felonies, including rape, sodomy and lewd acts on a child under 14. His mother said the victims were "not innocent little girls."

A family physician at Kaiser Permanente used his position of trust to sexually assault six women during pelvic examinations, a prosecutor alleged during emotional and graphic opening arguments Tuesday in the trial of Dr. Raul Ixtlahuac.
One of the women found a discarded condom in an examination room trash can, the prosecutor said.

    Seven patients sue Mexican physician, alleging sexual assault
A Kaiser Permanente gynecologist in Gilroy who was arrested in May for allegedly sexually assaulting several women during exams was named in a civil suit filed Friday by seven former patients. The lawsuit, filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court, alleges that Raul Ixtlahuac of Salinas fondled and penetrated the patients, some of whom were pregnant, during pelvic exams. - (reposting from last year at reader's request)

Miguel LozaThe hunt for Miguel Loza widened Thursday to Oakland and San Francisco, where, authorities said, he drinks beer, goes to strip clubs and sleeps in homeless shelters. Loza, 27, is accused of stabbing his sometime girlfriend, 17, and then sexually assaulting another girl, also 17, in Soquel on Monday night. The girl who was stabbed remains in critical condition at Dominican Hospital. The girl who was raped was treated and released. He is charged in an arrest warrant with attempted murder, sodomy and oral copulation. Allyn described Loza as very strong and extremely dangerous; he once bit off a fellow inmate's nose during a fight in Santa Cruz County Jail. He said Loza is an alcoholic and a violent drunk. SANTA ROSA (BCN) -- Sonoma County sheriff's deputies have arrested five suspects, all between ages 20 and 22, on felony charges including forcible rape and oral copulation, sodomy, kidnapping, penetration with a foreign object, burglary and criminal conspiracy. The suspected rapist of a 17-year-old girl was caught Friday morning after the girl was able to take the man's wallet from his back pocket during the assault, a Yuba City Police Department spokesman said. Redwood City 'Spanic' guilty in rape of 11-year-old girl
A Redwood City man has been found guilty in San Mateo County Court of raping an 11-year-old girl whom he had befriended through the music program at their church. Carlos Rivera, 29, of Redwood City, faces a mandatory 15-year-to-life sentence following his conviction Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault, the most serious of several charges against him. Rivera was also found guilty of forced child molestation, kidnapping and witness intimidation, felony convictions that could make it some 30 years before he is eligible for parole. - (Norcal)

Spanic suspect sought in girl's attempted kidnapping
San Jose police were investigating an attempted kidnapping of an 11-year- old girl who was grabbed by a man as she was walking near her home Wednesday night, police said. Police said the girl had been walking around Branham Lane and Silvera Lane in Almaden Valley, a residential neighborhood, at about 6:19 p.m. when a man pulled up in a car and began calling out to her. The girl ignored him, and the man then stopped his vehicle and grabbed the girl, police said. Police said the girl had kicked and punched her way free and ran home. MOSS LANDING — A foreman at a strawberry farm has been accused of kidnapping a teenage girl who worked for him and raping her last weekend. Monterey County sheriff’s deputies raided the home of 35-year-old Javier Merino in Watsonville on Monday, said Monterey sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Pasconi. They found a 17-year-old girl whom they say Merino had been holding against her will and raping her since Saturday.
