Three black face capital murder charges for 'random and senseless' killing of caucasian Alabama co-ed  Authorities have arrested three men in the slaying of UAB student Kayla Fanaei, who was slain in an off campus shooting in October. One of the suspects was arrested early this morning at his girlfriend's home. Two others were taken into custody Wednesday morning, police said.
Fanaei, a 20-year-old majoring in psychology, was found dead about 1 a.m. Oct. 8 in the driver's seat of her convertible BMW in the parking lot of Glen Iris Elementary School. She had just left a surprise birthday party about five block from where she was killed.
After leaving, she pulled into the school parking lot, presumably to finish a cell phone conversation she was having with a friend who was in Auburn.
She told her friend some men were approaching her while she was parked there. She was shot once in the head area. The car, which remained in drive, rolled a short distance in the parking lot and crashed. Fanaei was pronounced dead at the scene. The convertible top and windows were up, her doors locked. Black Baseline Killer Suspect Gets 438 Years A man accused of being the Phoenix Baseline Killer was sentenced to 438 years in prison Friday for a brutal attack in which he raped a woman while pointing a pistol at her pregnant sister's belly. "It is clear from the record that you cannot function in a civilized society," Superior Court Judge Andrew Klein told Mark Goudeau, who still faces trial for the slayings of eight women and a man in 2005-2006. Black Sex Offender Indicted In 2003 Slaying of 12-year-old daughter of his girlfriend A convicted child molester has been charged with the 2003 murder of his girlfriend's 12-year-old daughter, who had been missing for nearly a month before her body was found behind a riverside hotel. A Chatham County grand jury indicted 31-year-old Bobby Lavon Buckner on charges that he abducted, molested and strangled Ashleigh Moore more than four years ago. When Ashleigh vanished on April 18, 2003, Buckner was dating her mother and living in their Savannah home. Volunteers searched for the girl for weeks in coastal Georgia and South Carolina before her body was found May 14, 2003, by a man fishing along the Savannah River. The indictment said Ashleigh had been strangled. It also charged Buckner with molesting her at some point between August 2002 and her death months later. Buckner was jailed for violating his probation from a 1996 child molestation conviction the day after Ashleigh went missing. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |

| Four blacks charged with lynching two White men Duck hunting incident leads to fight at store  Four men have been charged with second-degree lynching in connection with a Thanksgiving Day fight captured on a store video camera. One of the men involved in the fight says it started after a remark was made about a Thanksgiving duck hunting trip. While town police say the fight was fueled by alcohol, the grandfather of one of the men in the fight says it was started by hate. "I saw hate in that tape. Hate, hate, hate," said Tony Fogle, whose grandson, Ross Fogle, was one of two men beaten at Shorty's Horizon that night. However, Norway Police Capt. Curtis Mizell said that based on his investigation and from reviewing the tape, he doesn't believe the altercation was hate-based. "I don't think so," Mizell said. "I think it was more alcohol-induced than anything else." Regardless, four individuals were arrested following the brawl. Charged with second-degree lynching was Reginald Youmans, 33, Marion Washington Jr., 25, McKenzie Clemons, 23, and Christopher Burkett, 32. Lynching is the legal term used when several people gang up on another. Black finally sentenced to die (for third time) for brutal lynch-murder of White girl  A family says it has received justice some 16 years after the death of 21-year-old Elaine Scott. A jury returned a death penalty verdict for a man convicted of killing the University of Oklahoma student from Tulsa. It's the third time convicted killer Alfred Mitchell has received the death sentence. After two appeals, three trials, and nearly 17 years, Elaine Scott’s family finally can find some closure. The jury deliberated before handing down the death penalty for Alfred Mitchell. Mitchell was first convicted and sentenced to die for brutally bludgeoning 21-year-old Elaine Scott to death with a wooden coat rack in 1992. That sentence was overturned because a forensic expert lied on the stand. Mitchell was tried and convicted again in 2002, and that death sentence was also overturned. The Scotts have suffered through three trials, reliving the gruesome details of their daughter's murder. They were pleased with the decision, but they say this is not true justice for their daughter. “Justice for my daughter would be for her to be alive,” said Bruce Scott, the victim’s father. “So justice in the sense that justice has been served for her death, yes. Black Father and Son Wanted in Connection with Repeated Rape of a Young Girl  MEMPHIS -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added Winfred and Akeem Scott to its Top 10 most wanted list for the rapping a girl repeatedly over a 5 year period. The crimes happened at a Memphis residence beginning in 1999 and continuing through 2004. The crimes were initiated when the girl was five years old. Both father and son will face charges of rape of a child when captured. Winfred Scott is described as a 47-year-old black male, approximately 6'1" tall and weighing 300 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Akeem Scott, is also a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He stands 6" tall and weighs about 250 lbs. Pack of nine feral black-afro 'youths' brutally attack White woman on bus - "Not a hate crime"  The suspects in the incident are black. The victim is white, according to the police report. The attack immediately drew comparisons on talk radio and Internet blogs to the Jena, La. case in which a white student was attacked by a group of black students, leading to demontrations by black activists who alleged local authorities were prosecuting blacks more harshly than whites. As Sarah Kreager, 26, tried to sit down on a Baltimore City bus, a (black) middle-schooler told her she couldn’t. When she attempted to take another seat, a (black) middle-schooler wouldn’t let her. Finally, according to police, Kreager just sat down.She was “immediately attacked” by nine (black) students — three females and six males — from Robert Poole Middle School. They punched and kicked her at 2:59 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Maryland Transit Administration police. Kreager was dragged off the bus and her boyfriend, Troy Ennis, attempted to get her back on, police said. She sustained “serious injuries” and had to be transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to a police report. Kreager suffered two broken bones in her left eye socket, police said.“She had eye muscles that were damaged,” a police report states. “She had deep lacerations on the top of her head and another above her neck.” Two seats and the bus’ rear glass were destroyed during the attack, police said. The bus driver on the No. 27 line quickly called police, who responded and arrested the nine juveniles, said Jawauna Greene, an MTA police spokeswoman. Black and foreigner arrested in at least 30 sexual assaults   STOCKTON - Police have arrested two men in connection with two rapes in the past few weeks and suspect they may be involved in sexually assaulting dozens of other women in the Stockton and Modesto areas. For weeks, detectives had been investigating two reported rapes of women allegedly involved in prostitution. Investigators linked those cases earlier this week, and leads from the street led them to Amritpal Singh Grewal, 22, and Kerston Dwayne Brock, 26, who they arrested in connection with the rapes. Grewal and Brock were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of false imprisonment, committing lewd and lascivious acts by force, forcible sodomy, kidnapping and rape. - (Newsroom) - (crime) |
Elderly White Woman Describes Abduction, Beating by Two Blacks  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An 83-year-old woman abducted from in front of her home last month is talking about the experience now that the two teenagers accused of attacking her are in jail. Margaret Weber said she was returning from church when she was grabbed by two men and forced into the trunk of their car. "We've never had a bit of problem until these two jerks showed up," Weber said. Police said Jonathan Bishop, 18, and Maria Wood, 19, kidnapped Weber, and drove off. They stopped twice to open the trunk to demand Weber's personal identification number. Each time she told them she didn't have a PIN. Police said each time they reacted by punching her in the face. It remains the city's most famous unsolved mystery. Trimble's mother talked about a possible new lead in her daughter's infamous murder. It stems from the arrest of Jerome Sydney Barrett. Metro's cold case unit charged him with the murder of Vanderbilt student Sara Des Prez 32 years ago. Did Barrett also murder Marsha Trimble? Barrett murdered Sarah Des Prez. On February 17th, 1975 Barrett raped a Belmont student, but was not arrested and convicted until a year later. On February 25th, 1975 Marsha Trimble was sexually assaulted and murdered. SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) ― Two men accused of plotting behind prison walls to launch attacks on military sites, synagogues and other targets in 2005 pleaded guilty Friday to conspiring to levy war against the United States. Kevin James, 31, and Levar Haley Washington, 28, both pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy charges. Washington also pleaded guilty to using a firearm to further that conspiracy. Authorities say James, Washington and two others were part of a California prison gang cell of radical Muslims planning attacks in the Los Angeles area.
