Daughter testifies in Murphy's trial - says sexual abuse happened when she
was 10  One
of Calvin Murphy's daughters choked back tears Monday as she told
jurors that the retired Houston Rockets star repeatedly molested her at
his home when she was about 10
years old. "He'd start feeling me underneath my clothes,"
the daughter, now 25, testified on the second day of Murphy's trial. "And
he'd start feeling himself while he was doing it to me." She was the
first of five daughters expected to testify against Murphy, 56,
who is charged with three counts each of indecency with a child and aggravated

Murray Jr behind bars for having sexual relations with three underage girls Detectives
say 54-year-old James Murray Jr. of Sarasota had illegal sexual involvement
with two 15-year-old girls and
one 12-year-old girl.
The incidents date back to June of this year. Murray is charged with lewd
and lascivious conduct and molestation and is at the Sarasota County Jail.- (Tyrone N. Butts) |

-- A man who told authorities two decades ago that he
killed 13 women but was never charged with murder stands trial
Monday for the stabbing death of a 14th woman, whose body was found in an
alley in 1979. Coral Eugene Watts is set to be freed in 2006 after
serving time in Texas for burglary with intent to murder. But first he must
face a first-degree murder charge in Pontiac for the death of Helen
Dutcher in the Detroit suburb of Ferndale. If convicted, Watts
faces a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole. Michigan

John Laurence Whitaker, a convicted rapist and murder suspect, whose
manufactured persona fooled everyone, including his wife. Today, Whitaker
sits in an Oregon jail, fighting extradition to California on charges he
murdered a prostitute in Orange

Two
with African-sounding names charged with rape and sodomy of woman at motel  Prosecutors
charged two men with rape and sodomy in connection with an attack at a motel.
The woman told police she met the men at a bar in Missouri, they had a casual
conversation, and they invited her back to their motel room to party. But
the victim alleges Stanslaus Mutua,
22, and Felix Oduol,
23, forced themselves on her. The woman said the men told her one of their
girlfriends would be at the room. But no one else was there. She claims
one man raped her and the other sodomized her. - (Gman)Citizenship status of suspects not reported. |

sex offender arrested for indecent exposure and breaking into woman's home ARLINGTON,
Texas -- A registered sex offender is back behind bars in Arlington after
police say he broke into a home and exposed himself while asking for a 'sexual
favor.' The victim told police she woke up and found Joseph Belson
in her home early Tuesday morning. She said Belson touched her and then
asked her for a 'sexual favor' as he exposed himself. Belson was arrested.
He has two prior convictions for indecent exposure. - (Border

Evidence Leads To Arrest In Bible Store Killings  Prosecutors
charged a man in a double murder at a Raytown Bible bookstore last month.
Kellen C. McKinney, 27, is charged with two counts of first-degree
murder and two counts of armed criminal action in the deaths of John
Caylor, 79, and his wife, Mildred, 76. A customer who had gone
to the Caylor's Bible and Book Store noticed the door to the business was
locked and looked through a window and saw a body on the floor. Police found
the Caylors dead. - (Gman) |

Denver foster parent faces charges of sex assault on a child and police
said that as many as 42 children may have lived in his home as foster
children. Joe David Lujan, 59, was arrested at his Denver home.
He did not resist. Police said a juvenile
female told an extended family member who contacted authorities.
Lujan has been a foster family parent for a private agency for the past
five or six years and at least 42 children have lived in the suspect's
home during that time. Neighbors said Lujan and his wife often went on
camping trips with the children. - (
