Identify Suspect In Grain Valley Carjacking, Rape  GRAIN
VALLEY, Mo. -- Police on Friday released a picture of a man wanted for the carjacking
and rape of a woman earlier this week. Jerry L. Banks, 44, is charged with
18 counts, including kidnapping, rape, sodomy and armed criminal action. Banks
is suspected of carjacking a 31-year-old woman at knifepoint as she was leaving
work. Police said the woman was raped and forced to withdraw money from a Blue

opens in 1986 kidnap, rape and murder of 14-year-old Chula Vista girl  A
convicted rapist with a history of molesting children went on trial yesterday
in the 1986 slaying of a 14-year-old Chula Vista girl who was taken from her home
while her parents slept. George Williams Jr., 49, could face the death
penalty if convicted of kidnapping, raping and murdering Rickieann
Blake, an eighth-grader whose body was dumped near the Main Street
off-ramp of Interstate 5 in San Diego's Barrio Logan neighborhood. "George

Rapist Has Preliminary Hearing in Virginia Beach  Kory
Devon Johnson appeared in court during a preliminary hearing Friday. The judge
said there was more than enough evidence to tie him to the rape
of a 21-year-old woman last January - but officials fear there may
be many more. Police say the victim was riding her bike to her minimum wage job
on the morning of January 30 when she was beaten, pulled off her bicycle, dragged

Kansas cannibal gets "life" for carjacking, murder,
cannibalism  A
man convicted of killing three people, eating the flesh of his youngest victim,
was sentenced to life in prison. Marc V. Sappington, 25, will not be eligible
for parole for 75 years. Police said Sappington cut up the body of his youngest
victim, Alton "Fred" Brown Jr.,
16, then cooked and ate a small amount of his flesh. Sappington had planned to
freeze the rest of the body and eat it later. Brown's body was the only one cannibalized.

Basketball Recruits Accused Of Dorm Rape  Two
basketball recruits at a college in New York state have been arrested and accused
of raping a student in her dorm. The two incoming freshmen are roommates at Morrisville
State College and live in the same residence hall as the woman alleging rape.
They have been suspended from the school pending a campus judicial proceeding.
Donta Ridley, 19, of Baltimore, and Eric Lawton, 21, of Philadelphia,
were arraigned on first-degree rape charges. - (The

Former world welterweight champion Ricardo Mayorga has been accused of rape  The
alleged incident is said to have taken place in a hotel room in Managua, Nicaragua
in the early hours of Wednesday morning. An arrest warrant for rape was issued
after examinations revealed the woman had injuries inflicted by punches. Several
hotel employees confirmed the 30-year-old Ricardo Mayorga, a regular client,

community is in shock after a teenage girl was brutally raped in the shadow of
a church just 200 yards from her Kentish Town home. The 14-year-old
was walking along Marsden Street at about 7.30pm when she took a short cut by
St Silas Church. As she went up a flight of steps, near the Chislet block of flats,
she was grabbed from behind, dragged into a concrete bin shed and raped. A friend of the victim's mother said the teenager had been left traumatised by the attack. She said: "She is a beautiful, decent girl and this never should have happened. The suspect, who fled the scene after the attack, is described as black, about 16 years old, 6ft tall, with braided hair. |

camp counselor accused of homosexually assaulting several boys was charged Tuesday
with molesting a seventh boy, a 14-year-old
who police say came forward after the counselor's arrest. Vincent
Donnell Smith of Lawrenceville, 35, now faces 32 charges of sexual assault
and nine counts of child molestation. Authorities said the victims range in age

Vegas - Dushon arrested in serial rape case Predator
terrorized city for 15 months in mid-1990s - Authorities arrested a Las Vegas
man Tuesday on suspicion that he is the Flamingo Road rapist, the serial predator
who terrorized the city and frustrated cops in the mid-1990s before mysteriously
ending his 15-month crime spree. Las Vegas police took Dushon Nichalos Green
into custody at his apartment near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway, about
two miles from the apartment complexes where most of the rapes unfolded. -

list. Police say this man, 29-year-old Louis Bernard McLean, raped a 17-year-old
girl on August 24 at the Level Two VIP Lounge in the 400 block of Liberty Street.

- Anthony Shariff Gay is convicted of robbing and killing a woman in her
apartment has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Gay, 30, was convicted of first-degree murder in the stabbing of Stacy
McKeown, 20. Gay was eligible to be put on death row because McKeown
was killed in a particularly cruel manner. She was stabbed 23 times in the neck

Morales, suspect in rape, attack appears on charges  A
man accused of abducting, repeatedly raping and trying to kill a Green Bay woman
made his first appearance in court. Gregorio Morales, 27, was arrested
in New Mexico last month and waived extradition. Another man suspected in the
case, Juan Nieto, 23, remains at large. Morales said that he and Nieto
drove the woman into rural Rockland and took turns sexually assaulting her. He
did not discuss how or why the woman was doused

Salvador Jimenez Jr.to stand trial on murder charge in stabbing of Graciela Rivas Salvador
Jimenez Jr. could be sentenced to life in prison without parole if he's convicted
of killing Graciela Rivas, 33. Jimenez,
who was 17 at the time of the incident, is being tried as an adult. Santa Rosa
police said Jimenez fatally stabbed Rivas when she confronted him burglarizing
her family's Princeton Drive apartment on April 16. Rivas' 2-year-old son witnessed

The
attorney for former priest Bruce Ewing described him yesterday as a man
"with a heart as big as his body" who helped and cared deeply for his
parish members in the 1970s and later for the people he served as a city employee.
But prosecutors and a former student at the St. Vincent de Paul parish's school,
Janet Goodner, said Ewing was a priest who cursed, drank and used his position
of power to sexually prey on a teenage girl.

DIEGO -- A man who tortured and murdered two boys he found bicycling along a river
in 1993 was sentenced to death after hearing one victim's mother say, "you
will pay for what you did." The Judge endorsed a jury's recommendation to
sentence Scott Erskine, 41, to death for the sexual assaults and
slayings of Jonathan Sellers, 9, and Charlie
Keever, 13.
