| Two blacks going to prison on charge of carjacking and dragging a White man chained to a pickup truck - "Not a hatecrime" Two Hartsville men who pleaded guilty to federal carjacking charges in an incident in which a man was chained to a pickup truck and dragged through a field have been sentenced to prison. Kenneth Smith, 41, was sentenced to 14 years in prison Wednesday by U.S. District Judge R. Bryan Harwell. Lamont McKay, 27, was sentenced to seven years. The men forced the victim into his own pickup truck, ordered him to drive to a nearby field and made him take his clothes off. The victim was then beaten with a tire iron and burned with a cigarette lighter, chained to the truck and dragged up the road. The victim, who is white, said Smith and McKay, who are black, made racial slurs while chaining him to the truck. Authorities said they do not doubt the comments were made but said the crime did not appear to be racially motivated, because the robbery occurred first. - (Tyrone N. Restaurant maintenance man murder suspect appears in court, White victim laid to rest  St. Petersburg, Florida – The man suspected of killing a St. Petersburg restaurant manager made a court appearance while his alleged victim was laid to rest. A judge ordered Wilson Saintil held without bond and appointed him a public defender. Saintil is charged with first degree murder in the death of Stephen Holmes. Saintil was arrested when he returned to Durango's Steak House.. That's where Holmes' body was discovered. Saintil stabbed Holmes to death and robbed the restaurant. Saintil had been the maintenance man at the restaurant. Meanwhile, Holmes' co-workers, friends and family paid their final respects to the husband and father. Durham Police Seek Black Suspect In Fatal Hit-And-Run Which Left A Young White Woman Dead  DURHAM, N.C. -- A flowered cross sitting along the Gregson Street near Monmouth Avenue now serves as a memorial for 21-year-old Jenna Clayton. The young Durham woman, described by family members as compassionate and the clown of her family, planned to become a pediatric nurse and was working as a nurse's assistant at a Hospital. She was engaged to be married this month. But on the way home from an overnight shift at the hospital on Nov. 5, everything ended. Clayton was the victim of a hit-and-run. The driver fled the scene. Clayton later died at Duke University Hospital. It's a big hole in my heart," said Clayton's mother, Mary, who said the loss is unbearable. "My life -- our lives will never be the same." Witnesses told police the driver got out of his car and simply walked away. "He T-boned her to one side and the tree got her to the other side," Mary Clayton said. "(He) had to have known she was hurt terribly bad." Police found evidence inside the car that identified Tyson Antonio Marrow as the driver. Kareem Jamal Petty Found Guilty in Murder of White Grandmother Gloria Peloquin * Widower: Guilty Verdict "A Blessing"  Almost two years ago, Gloria Peloquin of Savannah was shot and killed while she was shopping at a grocery store at Waters Avenue and Montgomery Cross Road. Today her family is feeling some justice after a jury convicted a teenager for her murder. After a day and a half of deliberation, the jury found Kareem Jamal Petty guilty of three different charges including felony murder and aggravated assault. As you can imagine, it was a very emotional day for all parties involved. White Clinton Man Fatally Shot During Home Invasion by Black Neighbor  CLINTON, Mo. -- A robbery at a home ended in murder. 25-year-old Damon Womble was in his new home and was still unpacking when a man knocked on his door. An armed man wearing a ski mask forced his way into the house and demanded money. Womble tried to grab the gun and was shot and killed. The intruder didn't get any money, but he left with a small hand-held video game. Police arrested 19-year-old Joshua Rudolph. He was charged with second-degree murder. Jury Returns Guilty Verdict for Black Youth who murdered White aspiring country music star for $10   It was the shocking murder of a young man hoping to become a country music star. Kris Carlyle was shot and killed in front of his mother and sister last July when they stopped to ask for directions. After deliberating for nine hours over the past couple of days, the jury found Twain Vaughn guilty on all counts. Sentencing for homicide and aggravated robbery will take place in 30 days. The 16 year old will face life with possibility of parole for the first degree felony murder charge. “It’s still not good enough. It’s just not good enough. His mother can still see him. Police Charge Black Man in White Pa. Trooper's Death * Trooper killed in traffic stop  Police late Wednesday charged a Knoxville drug dealer with the fatal shooting of state police Cpl. Joseph Pokorny during a traffic stop in Carnegie. Leslie D. Mollett, 31, was awaiting arraignment in Pittsburgh Municipal Court last night on charges of homicide, theft, resisting arrest, fleeing from police and gun charges for Monday's slaying. "We believe that he was the sole triggerman," state police Maj. Frank Monaco said during a news conference announcing the arrest. Three Indicted In Fatal Wilson Pizza Hut Shooting  WILSON, N.C. -- The three suspects in a fatal shooting at a Wilson Pizza Hut this summer were indicted by a grand jury this week. Corey Whitted, who police say pulled the trigger in the shooting in July, was indicted on first-degree murder charges. Two other men, Antonio Barnes and John Holden Jr., were also indicted on first-degree murder charges related to the case. Police say that Brandon Bass was killed and another employee Ceasar Raya was injured in the shooting that happened during a robbery. Sports: Black teen basketballer told detective that shooting of White music executive was not planned   Metro police arrested 16 year-old Deon Velt Miller Wednesday in connection with the murder of Eric Scott Mansfield who was shot and killed last month near his East Nashville home. Police said Mansfield’s body was found inside his Volkswagen on the night of Friday, November 11th. He had been shot in the chest, apparently while he was looking for a place to park. Mansfield, who was 33 years old, worked as director of creative services for Warner Bros. Records. The single bullet ripped through the lower part of Mansfield's heart, tore through his left lung and lodged in his spine. He lived long enough to slam on his horn and pull over to the side of the road. Afterward, three of Miller's former basketball coaches spoke outside the Juvenile Justice Center about the teen's "rising athletic star". UK: Black boyfriend gets life for murdering his blonde English sex slave - Kelly Sinnot had a tattoo on her back saying "Property of Flavius"  A black murderer who strangled his girlfriend with a cord from his games console just after having sex with her has been jailed for life. Jermaine Flavius, 23, of Islington, wrapped the body of Kelly Sinnot in his lounge rug and dumped her in a field. He pleaded guilty at the start of his trial at the Old Bailey. Flavius had affairs with several other women and treated Miss Sinnot as a sex object and a punch bag. She had a tattoo on her back which read "Property of Flavius". Ohio Jury Convicts Negro of Kidnapping 5-year-old White Girl - Sentenced to only 10 years for kidnap - victim still missing   COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jurors convicted a man Friday of kidnapping a 5-year-old girl, but acquitted him of a rape charge that could have brought a mandatory life sentence. The girl is presumed dead, but Bruce was not charged with murder. Lindsey Bruce was charged with kidnapping and raping Emily Rimel, who has been missing since December. She was last seen in her Madison Township home on the night when Bruce was visiting. Rimel's body has not been found and Bruce was not charged with murder.
