Police nab suspect they say committed 63 burglaries and raped 13-year-old girl Houston police say the recent arrest of one man may help them close the books on over 60 burglary cases. Police say Bob Lewis Smith terrorized northeast Houston for more than a month. Right now the suspect is charged with only one burglary, but police say he broke into several homes in a small area -- 65 places in all. Mobile men charged with plot to kill 12-year-old rape victim Two men have been charged in Alabama with plotting to kill a 12-year-old girl to prevent her from testifying against a 52-year-old man charged with raping her in a Louisiana motel after meeting her on the Internet. 21-year-old Michael Villar and 22-year-old Michael Phillips were arrested yesterday. Sentenced In Murder Of Child Rev. Javan McBurrows To Serve 22 To 45 Years Behind Bars - Pa. -- A local pastor was sentenced for murdering a child. The Rev. Javan McBurrows will serve 22 to 45 years behind bars. The judge who sentenced McBurrows called him "diabolical." McBurrows was convicted of murder earlier this year in the beating death of a 4-year-old boy. Police release composite of black sex assault suspect According to police, the victim was asleep in her first floor apartment at 1:30 p.m. when a noise in the living room woke her up. An unknown man was in the living room and asked her for money, police said. She told him she had none to give, and he took her to a bedroom and sexually assaulted her. Davis was sentenced to death 1996 for robbing, kidnapping and shooting two men after setting up a fake transaction to sell guns. Trial begins for Negro accused of raping as many as six women Testimony began Monday in the trial of a man accused of raping as many as six women in a five-year period. Thirty-six-year-old Christopher Baker has pleaded not guilty to rape, kidnapping, aggravated sodomy and a number of other charges. Prosecutors say Baker used various techniques to get women in his car and then, they say, he would attack them.
