to seek death penalty against Marcus Wesson FRESNO,
Calif. -- Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty against Marcus Wesson
charged with shooting nine of his children
in his Fresno home. The 57-year-old Wesson is also accused of 13
sex crimes, including rape, with each of the victims believed to be

Florida baseball bat 'Burger King' massacre - Troy Victorino: A history of criminal
activity
Troy Victorino was the ringleader.Sheriff Ben Johnson used that word in describing Victorino, who, at 27, was the oldest of the four men charged with murdering six people. At 6-foot-5 and 270 pounds, Victorino was the biggest. Having spent eight of the last 11 years in prison, Victorino was the most experienced criminal. Victorino was the one who kicked in the door. 500+ Years to Life, Belmont Shore Rapist
LONG BEACH — The man dubbed the "Belmont Shore Rapist"
for a five-year string of attacks that victimized women in Long Beach and in parts
of Orange County was convicted today of 59 criminal counts. Mark Wayne Rathbun,
34, could face in excess of 500 years to life in prison when he is sentenced Sept.
15, a prosecutor said. A 77-year-old woman said Rathbun raped her twice. Another

ILLEGAL immigrant who hacked through his baby son's throat "as if he was
cutting some bread" has been jailed for life. Shahajan Kabir, 40,
killed his son in a baker's shop as his mum ordered a cake for the boy's first
birthday. A jury found him guilty of murder, and also convicted him of wounding
baby Hassan's mother and grandmother in the same incident. Hassan's mother Lorna
Martin aged 21, who sat in court throughout the trial with friends

- Maui Officer Arrested On Attempted Sex Assault Charges Maui
police arrested an officer after he was indicted for attempted sexual assault,
kidnapping and extortion. Officer Aaron Won allegedly took a 27-year-old
Lahaina resident to jail after she refused his demand for sexual favors during
a traffic stop. The alleged victim said that when she refused, she was arrested
and taken to the Napili sub-station. The alleged victim said there was no sexual
contact and that the officer was in uniform and driving a police patrol car at

Hispanic Arrested for Attempted Rape of 4-Year Old Girl  Vicente
Perez-Hernandez has been charged with burglary and the attempted rape of a
four-year-old girl that occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, August
8. At about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, the girl's mother was awakened by a scream coming
from her daughter’s bedroom. When she entered her daughter’s room, she
saw an unknown Hispanic man naked, in her daughter’s bed with her daughter.

African American Robbers Allegedly Laugh After Beating Senior With Baseball Bat
Madison police are looking for three men who beat a 72-year-old man with a baseball bat Monday night. The men went into the Motel office at about 6 p.m. beat the man, took cash and ran away laughing. One man was armed with a metal bar, one with a bat, and the third with a gun, police said. The victim was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with serious injuries. Police described the robber with a gun as an African American with a heavy build, short hair and dark complexion. The man with a bat was described as smaller with a lighter complexion. The man armed with a metal bar was the smallest of the three, an African American with a darker complexion. - (reader link) |

Suspect Re-Arrested In Granville County  OXFORD,
N.C. -- A man with a violent past is back in custody after escaping from Oxford
police on Sunday. Police say Jerome Gregory was found under a couch in
an apartment in Oxford Monday night. His bond is set at $505,000. Gregory kidnapped
and raped a woman living in the Hillside neighborhood on Thursday. "He hit
her in the back, forced her into the truck and drove her to a secluded place where

Cooper twins, Tyrone and Jerome, whose identical DNA matches a single DNA
sample from an unsolved rape in Grand Raipds in 1999. Authorities attempted to
find a lab that could find differences, or mutations, in their DNA. But after
doing an international search, no outside lab could come up with a plan that would

Suspect
in carjacking, rape of mother, son arrested in New Jersey The
victim was successful in getting away from this man, 31-year-old Lamont Johnson,
who is accused of carjacking, then raping a mother with her 2-year-old son strapped
in the car seat. After being raped, the 17-year-old mother kept her head, getting
away from her attacker, grabbing her child from the car seat and running towards
some lights. That was this house across the street. A man hear her cries for help
and when he came outside he took off his shirt, wrapping it around the mother
and her child. "He heard her screaming, he was able to help her and called

Florida: 2 men held in brutal "Burger King" Deltona killings of six Pair described as `persons of interest'; 5 victims identified    DELTONA
-- Two men, one with a violent criminal history, were being questioned Saturday
in the killings of six friends whose brutalized bodies were found in a rented
home. On Saturday, sheriff's officials identified five of the victims as: Anthony
Vega, 34; Roberto "Tito"
Gonzalez, 28, of New York; Francisco
Ayo Roman, 30; Michelle Nathan,
19; and Jonathan Gleason, 18. Vega,
Roman and Nathan lived in the home where the killings took place. Gonzalez and
Gleason were living nearby, friends said, but stayed there on the night of the
slayings. Authorities have had difficulty positively identifying the sixth victim,
thought to be Erin Belanger, 22,
because the body was so badly disfigured, her father said. - (reader

Victorino, 27, of Deltona has been identified as the ring leader. Police say
he recruited three teenagers to beat the victims to death with baseball bats
inside a Deltona home. Also arrested were Robert Cannon, 18, Jerone
Hunter, 18, and Michael Silas,18.. "The instrument used was baseball
bats, aluminum baseball bats," Johnson said at a press conference. "They
did severe trauma to all of the victims. As a matter of fact, one of them was
so badly damaged that we've not been able to officially identify her." |
HIV Infected Man Accused Of Raping 15-year-old Teen  MIRAMAR,
Fla. -- A man who recently moved to South Florida from New York is accused of
repeatedly raping a teenager -- and according to police, the man knew all along
he was HIV positive. Cosme Caballero, 32, is accused of assaulting a teenage
girl several times, even though police say he knew he was HIV-positive. Police
were able to catch Caballero and also found the 15-year-old girl. She told police
that the man had assaulted her at least 11 times over an extended period of time.

Released
early, felon charged with a new murder   It's
rare for a Kentucky prison inmate to be released after his first parole hearing
— especially if he's been convicted of murder. But Taquan Neblett made
a compelling case. He was 16 when he killed Russell
Gilbert, a Louisville cab driver in 1993 and had no prior convictions.
Neblett is charged with robbing Sami's Music in Lexington and shooting the store's
owner, Sami Hajibrahim, 31, and an
employee, Derek Elam, 22, multiple

Mexican alien migrant "Bicycle Groper" Perez Pleads Guilty  A
25-year-old Mexican man plead guilty to groping 11 women while riding a bicycle.
He was nicknamed the "Bicycle Groper" and today, 25-year-old Alexandro
Perez, an illegal alien from Mexico, plead guilty to groping 11 women last
summer. The attacks happened in Center City, Queen Village and South Philadelphia.
Perez admitted he rode up behind his victims on a bicycle and aggressively grabbed
them. Through an interpreter, Perez told the judge quote: "I feel
