Guilty plea in fatal New Year’s Eve drunk driving crash
Willie Green III Emma CaseyXander WohlstadterST. LOUIS – A grieving St. Louis family says they want closure more than justice after a drunk driver killed their young son on New Year's Eve two years ago. The suspect, 28-year-old Willie Green III of Fairview Heights, pleaded guilty Thursday morning to five counts: one count of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of armed criminal action, one count of second-degree assault, and one count of leaving the scene. Xander Wohlstadter was heading west on Chouteau on December 31, 2014 when police said Green, who was speeding while intoxicated, was traveling north on Jefferson and failed to stop at the red light. The crash killed the 20-year-old Wholstader and seriously injured his then 16-year-old girlfriend, Emma Casey. Wohlstadter's parents described their son as someone who was always smiling, joyful, happy-go-lucky, and a friend to everyone. "He was so smart and I miss that, and that's part of what I grieve," said Michael Wohlstadter, Xander’s father. "What an easy kid he was to raise," said Beth Lewandowski, Xander's mother. "He had such a good disposition. He was like a Zen master, he was very calm."
Casey was one of many who showed up at Thursday's hearing. She said it was hard to look at Green because all she felt was anger. Casey's injuries were so severe that the now 19-year-old went through several months of therapy and rehabilitation, which included learning how to write, speak, and walk again. "I wanted him to look at me and to see the face of his crime," said Casey. "He wasn't put in jail," Wohlstadter said. "I was hoping that his bond would have been revoked, I was at least hoping for that." Wohlstadter's parents said that no matter what the punishment, it won't bring their son back nor will it heal the wounds. "I want closure, but until he's actually been made accountable for what he did, I don't know if I can get to that point of closure," he continued. "I don't want to have to think about the criminal case again. because it's just too painful," said Lewandowski. "I want to close the door on that and not have to open it up again." Green is scheduled to appear for sentencing July 23. - (Black-on-white)

African-american Suspect arrested for setting (White) Denny's customer on fire
Deshaun Swanger Scott RanstromHAPPY VALLEY, Ore. -- A man suspected of setting another person on fire at a Happy Valley Denny's restaurant was arrested Thursday evening. The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office tweeted "We got him!" Thursday night. The suspect was identified as 24-year-old Deshaun James Swanger. He was arrested at a transitional home, located at Southeast 80th Avenue and Sunnyside Drive, just a few blocks away from the restaurant. A neighbor called in a tip to the sheriff's office and told deputies he believed the man they were looking for was Swanger and that he lived at the transitional house with about 18 people. The neighbor said he used to live at the home with Swanger and was surprised by the allegations. "He was really quiet...he stayed to himself," the neighbor said of Swanger. Deputies said that on Wednesday evening, Swanger walked into the restaurant, located at 12101 Southeast 82nd Avenue, at about 9 p.m., sat down, threw gasoline on the customer, then lit the victim on fire with a book of matches.
The victim's family identified him as 69-year-old Scott Ranstrom. He is in critical condition at Legacy Emanuel hospital. “His face was like this big and he’s a skinny guy. And all red, and horrible-looking, burnt to a crisp. He was burnt to a crisp," Ranstrom's sister said. "They did that to my big brother. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. It’s not fair.” His family has set up a GoFundMe page to pay for his medical expenses. Deputies said Swanger and Ranstrom did not know each other. Detectives are looking into the possibility that this case is related to another incident earlier this week, in which a person threw gasoline on a stranger at the Clackamas Town Center movie theater. - (Black-on-white) - (Burned Alive!)

Woman's car stolen by black with her child inside; (White) Man holds suspects at gunpoint
Quincy BrewerTyler MaddenENGLEWOOD - When two burglary suspects saw a woman unloading groceries from her car Wednesday, they also saw an opportunity to steal her car. Police say her four-year-old daughter was still in the car and the suspects let her out about a hundred yards away. However, the woman's cell phone was still inside and officers used it to track the car down in front of an Englewood home. They were also able to find the two suspects who might have gotten away if it weren't for a quick-thinking homeowner. The suspects ran into Tyler Madden's home. He said he doesn't see himself as a hero, but how he helped police tells a different story. "I heard two people enter my house," Madden said. "I heard their voices from the bedroom and I knew there shouldn't be voices." He said he saw a man and a woman in his living room. He verbally threatened them to leave but was ignored. "As soon as he stopped paying a little bit of attention to me, I ran back to where I keep my weapons," Madden said. "I didn't want them in my house. That was my initial goal - to get them out." He said he grabbed a gun and chased them through his house and out the back door. "As soon as I got them in the backyard, I realized that I didn't just want them out of my house," Madden said. "I needed to make sure that no one else was implicated by whatever it was they were doing." Madden said he followed the two over a fence and - while still holding them at gunpoint - ordered them to stay put. "By the time they got into the backyard of my neighbor is when I got them down on the ground," he said. "The 911 call was being placed by my other neighbor and he showed up in the backyard as well." Police were able to arrest 30-year-old Quincy Brewer and a 17-year-old girl with Madden's help - and without ever having to fire a shot. "It ended best-case scenario for everybody involved – myself, the police and the suspects," Madden said. "No one got shot, bad guys went to jail." The case is being investigated by Thornton police. Police aren't releasing the female suspect's mug shot since she's underage. - (Black-on-white)

Cousin of (white) woman who died two months after being beaten (by black) is calling for swift justice - stomping on head is a 'black thing'
Sandi Rothblack suspectSuspect B M (black male)COLUMBUS, Ohio — A mother died two months after a relative says a man kicked and stomped her unconscious in broad daylight. "It's not fair nobody deserves that and it just bothers me that nobody knows," said Liz Roth, Sandi Roth's cousin. Liz Roth is calling on the person responsible to surrender. Sandi Roth never came to after a January beating in the Hilltop. Liz Roth, says Sandi had emergency brain surgery after was on life support until family said final good-byes last month. Police haven't found who did it. The mystery of not knowing is angering to her cousin. "It's murder, it's most definitely murder," said Liz Roth. A dark chapter for Liz Roth. She was the first in the family to see her lifeless cousin in a Mt. Carmel West hospital room. "They knew right away she had brain damage," said Liz Roth. The two hadn't crossed paths in a year. An urgent Facebook message in January from Sandi Roth's friend made for a troubling reunion. "That I needed to get to the hospital as soon as possible," said Liz Roth. Columbus police got a call mid-morning January 17th about a woman being assaulted on the Hilltop's S. Wheatland Avenue. Officers couldn't find Sandi at first. She was down the street unconscious. "The doctor did show me her side she had a lot of bruising she was kicked a lot in her side she was kicked a lot in her face and her head.," said Liz Roth. Liz Roth says Sandi was moved to two other hospitals while on life support and died March 19th after a second infection. "It was horrible a long two months," said Liz Roth. Sandi was 29 years old. A mother to a little boy who Liz says has been in foster care. "She loved that little boy I know that he knows who she is," said Liz Roth. Liz Roth says her cousin was a good person but struggled as an adult recently bouncing from place to place. Her breaking point, Liz Roth believes, was the death of her grandmother who raised Sandi after her mother died. "She lost the only person in the world that never gave up on her," said Liz Roth. Liz Roth says Sandi wasn't alone and isn't now as she fights to close this chapter with a successful prosecution. "I'm sure that it's a hard decision to make knowing you could possibly be in jail for the rest of your life but you deserve it," said Liz Roth. - (Black-on-white)

Briana BensonMadie HartA murder charge has been filed against Briana Benson, the woman who police said struck 18-year-old Madie Hart with a car in Downtown last month. Hart, a St. Ursula Academy graduate and Ohio State student, spent four days in the hospital before she died as a result of her injuries. The car was stopped on Walnut Street, then reverses and makes a hard right turn, which is when Deters said Hart was struck. He said Hart was dragged approximately 88 feet by the car as Benson drove away. Callers to 911 reported Hart was bleeding from her head. Deters said a passerby ran into the street assist Hart after Benson fled. "You need to get here now. I can’t watch this," one caller told the dispatcher. “There’s people screaming in the street.” Prior to the incident, Deters said Benson was driving around searching for Hart. "That's not someone trying to get home to mom," Deters said. According to the prosecutor's office, Benson was indicted on drug charges just days before the incident. Police said she was allowing her boyfriend to sell heroin from her car. Deters also said Benson has a long juvenile record and her mother once filed domestic violence charges against her. Benson has not yet been arrested. In addition to the murder charge, she was also indicted on felonious assault, aggravated vehicular homicide and failure to stop after a crash charges. Boone"Dijon"NORMANDY • A man shot to death on a MetroLink train late Wednesday night at a station on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus had pleaded guilty last year to a violent robbery on a MetroLink train, authorities say. In Wednesday’s attack, police say a man shot Jesse Boone, 22, of St. Louis in the chest as they rode in the back of the train at about 11:15 p.m. The shooting followed a fight between Boone and the gunman as their MetroLink train approached the UMSL South station, near Natural Bridge Road.     Stunning outcome to 2009 black-on-White murder case comes to light after slaying this week 'The system ... failed'
Wendy ByrneDrey LewisErnest CloudReggie DouglasIt was a murder that stunned a city eternally plagued by violence — a popular French Quarter bartender gunned down in New Orleans' historic heart. "What just happened?" Wendy Byrne said after a single gunshot rang out on Gov. Nicholls Street during a botched armed robbery attempt in 2009. Byrne fell to the pavement, where she died from a bullet to the back, days before she was to marry the love of her life. Authorities quickly charged three teenagers in the slaying. Yet, less than eight years later, all three of them were free to walk the streets.
Drey Lewis met his own violent end Monday, slain months after he was granted "good time" parole after pleading guilty to manslaughter in Byrne's killing. Authorities have been probing whether he participated in another deadly shooting in February.
Ernest Cloud, who pleaded no contest in a Juvenile Court proceeding, has since found himself in more trouble, having pleaded guilty to two other felonies. He now awaits trial on new charges of robbery, assault and criminal property damage.
And Reggie Douglas — the one suspected of firing the gun that claimed Byrne's life — was quietly released years ago from a state mental hospital, where he was sent after being found incompetent to stand trial in the killing. - (Black-on-white)

He said he attempted to ignore her, but she eventually threatened to put a hole in his "fancy boat." That's when, Bob said, the woman grabbed a hammer. "She actually took a hammer and she hit his vehicle and the boat," Sheriff Lippa said. "She actually clawed him. He took her down to the ground to prevent her from doing any more damage.""I let her go and she grabbed the hammer again and hit the boat again," Bob said. "[The hammer] broke. That's when she figured out she better get out of there because she didn’t have a weapon anymore." While Bob and the woman were struggling with each other, a witness snapped a photo of the woman's vehicle. Investigators used that photo to identify the woman as Angela M. Jones, 26, of Newark, New Jersey. Bob's wife, who was in the gas station bathroom during the attack, returned to find her bloodied husband. During the attack, the couple said the woman said she was "sick of fancy white people."

Black Sports: Black Former OU football player-turned-pimp and (defiled white female) cheerleader-turned-whore arrested
Lawrence MooreMicah Madison ParkerNORMAN — A former University of Oklahoma football player and a former OU cheerleader were arrested Thursday in connection with an undercover prostitution sting in Oklahoma City. According to an Oklahoma County probable cause affidavit, Oklahoma City police were aiding an Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics investigation. An undercover OBN officer made contact with 23-year-old Micah Madison Parker through an online ad at backpage.com and arranged to meet her at the Sonesta Suites at 4361 W. Reno Ave. in Oklahoma City where she allegedly offered her services for $200. Police then sought out 22-year-old Lawrence Moore in connection with the case, believing him to be Parker’s pimp based on telephone conversations from jail and social media exchanges. According to the affidavit, Parker managed to throw two cell phones into the toilet before officers could arrest her. Moore was later arrested at the same hotel when he came to pick up Parker’s car, the affidavit states. Parker was arrested on complaints of destruction of evidence, offering to engage in an act of prostitution, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and booked into Oklahoma County Jail. Moore was arrested on complaints of aiding and abetting prostitution, pandering, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of marijuana. Moore played just one season with the OU football team as a defensive back after signing with the Sooners in 2013. Parker was a member of the OU cheerleading squad that same year. - (Black-on-white)
