Joe Sullivan is a 33-year-old black man who was convicted of raping a 72-year-old white woman  afte burglarizing her home in 1989. Sullivan was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
The victim testified that her assailant was “a colored boy” who “had kinky hair and he was quite black and he was small.” She said she “did not see him full in the face” and so would not recognize him by sight. Colored Traveling salesman pleads guilty to rape-murder of 90-year-old White woman  A traveling magazine salesman from Missouri pleaded guilty to charges that he raped and killed a 90-year-old Lafayette woman in her home three years ago. Richard Craig McNew, 34, a felon from St. Louis, is expected to be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering Anna Elizabeth Vuori. Vuori was bound and gagged in her Moraga Boulevard home, sexually assaulted and found smothered to death on Dec. 10, 2005. Police Say DNA Links Second Rape Case to Anne Pressly's Alleged Killer   Kristen Edwards, of Marianna, Ark., was raped and attacked in April. Police say that DNA evidence from Anne Pressly's crime scene matched Edwards' attacker, and detectives from both cities collaborated to search for a suspect. Curtis Lavell Vance was arrested Nov. 26 and charged with Pressly's murder. Pressly, 26, a rising star on the local morning news scene, was beaten into a coma and raped in her apartment in October after a break-in, apparently by a stranger who took her laptop computer, a credit card and little else. Three blacks charged with murder of White man who interrupted their burglary  Fla. -- Shots fired at a Palatka police officer Saturday night led to the arrest of three men believed responsible for the shooting death of 65-year-old Cecil Mills, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said Mills was shot Oct. 27 when he interrupted a burglary at his daughter's home on Cherry Drive in Pomona Park. Black boyfriend bashes little 11-month-old White boy to death   KOKOMO, Ind. -- The boyfriend of a Kokomo woman whose 11-month-old son died from a blow to the head was arrested Wednesday in the boy's death. Derrick A. Fox, 28, took Malaki Lindley to a Kokomo hospital early Sunday unconscious and unresponsive, said Kokomo police Lt. Don Whitehead. An autopsy later determined that the boy had died from blunt force trauma to the head. Fox was taken into custody on Wednesday and preliminarily charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, Whitehead said. Black serial rapist gets 60 year sentence thanks to his frozen semen   More than 30 years ago, long before the advent of DNA technology, Dr. Rudiger Breitenecker began freezing semen samples taken from rape victims in the hope that they might one day be useful to police. A man serving a prison sentence for a rape committed in 1983 has been charged in six other attacks on women after DNA evidence linked him to the cold cases, authorities said. Alphonso W. Black demon murdered three Elderly, Disabled Women in their home * Black charged in Triple Murder  Police in Mounds View are investigating a triple murder after finding three women dead in a home Monday afternoon. The daughter of an elderly woman called police to a home for a welfare check.
Two bodies were found when police arrived, and the Police Chief Mike Sommer confirmed a third body was found in a locked basement. All three women were stabbed to death. The home is owned by Jolyn Vigen, 76, who lives with her two grown daughters. Police have confirmed the victims as 76-year-old Vigen, Angela Vigen, 40, and Jennifer Vigen, 35. Black arrested for murder of white teen highschool girl in her bedroom   Portsmouth police announced they had arrested 17-year-old Robert Lee Barnes in the slaying of Meghan Landowski, a Woodrow Wilson High School student whose April 10 death at home in the middle of the afternoon had shocked and scared her peers and the community. White Prison Employee murdered by three blacks    Stockton police have announced the arrests of three people, allegedly connected to Wednesday's killing of a federal prison employee. Police also say the motive appears to be robbery. "Mr. Rutledge was in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Stockton police spokesman Pete Smith. "The killing was senseless." Smith said shortly after Michael Rutledge, 35, was killed, his stolen credit cards were used at nearby gas stations and convenience stores. Late Wednesday afternoon, the suspects were located in south Stockton and arrested. They are Gerell Whatley, 19; Joel Lewis, 19 and Delisa Bryant, 40. Rutledge worked in food service since 2000 at the Federal Correctional Institution women's prison in Alameda County. Black murders two little White girls 4 and 5 years old - flees from scene   The man accused of killing two young girls on Friday is now behind bars after police worked through the night to make an arrest. A four and five year old and one of their mothers were walking near the University of Louisville when they were struck by a car and left for dead. It took police less than three hours to track down the man they say was behind the wheel when a car struck 4-year-old Riley Lawrence and 5-year-old Claudia Wadlington, killing them, and injuring one of the victim’s mothers. Negro sentenced to death for slaughter of White 10-year-old girl and her family   A Tulsa man who was convicted last month of three murders in Owassowas formally sentenced to three death sentences. The Judge set an execution date for Clarence Goode Jr. Jurors found Goode, 31, guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Kayla Burchett, 10, a Collinsville fifth-grader; her mother, Tara Burchett-Thompson, 25; and the slain woman's husband, Mitch Thompson, 28. Their bodies were found Aug. 26, 2005, at the couple's home. The jury imposed a death sentence on each murder count, and Goode received a concurrent 20-year term for first-degree burglary. He has maintained that he is innocent. Co-defendant Kenneth D. Johnson faces a Feb. 19 trial on the same charges. Black Juvenile Serial Killer Remains in Prison   WARWICK, R.I. - They called him Iron Man, a hulking teenage football player with a baby face and winsome smile who lived with his parents in a small ranch house in the Buttonwoods section of town. Then, one summer night in 1987, Craig Price crept across his neighbor's yard, broke into a little brown house on Inez Avenue and stabbed Rebecca Spencer 58 times. She was a 27-year-old mother of two. He was 13. Two years passed before Price struck again. Joan Heaton, 39, was butchered with the kitchen knives she had bought earlier that day. The bodies of her daughters, Jennifer 10, and Melissa 8, were found in pools of blood, pieces of knives broken off in their bones; Jennifer had been stabbed 62 times. Buttonwoods was paralyzed. After a search, the Moore County Sheriff's Office took Michael Graham Currie, 18, into custody Monday night. Smiling Black pleads not guilty to running down a white family in McDonald's parking lot - killing 2-year-old   The black man accused of running down five white family members and killing a 2-year-old girl in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in Covington last May pleaded not guilty. Lanny Perry Barnes, 46, attended the 15-minute arraignment hearing wearing street clothes and no expression on his face. Sitting behind him was Stephanie Casola, the mother who was hit, along with her two sons, niece, and sister, by Barnes' vehicle. Witnesses told police that Barnes struck the family, backed up, smiled, and drove into them again. Casola's niece, Avery King, died of her injuries. Dark Demon Sex Offender Charged With Kidnap-Rape-Kill of White 11-year-old Jacksonville Girl In 1996  Fla. -- A Connecticut sex offender will be returned to Florida to face a murder charge after being linked to the decade-old rape and drowning of an 11-year-old girl through a database of DNA from convicted sex offenders. Robert Shelton Mitchell, 43, was being held on a $5 million bond after being arraigned as a fugitive. He will face first-degree murder and capital sexual battery charges in the death of Cherie Morrisette of Jacksonville. The Mandarin Middle School student body was found on Dec. 8, 1996, floating in the St. John's River about 10 miles south of the apartment she shared with her mother and sister. An autopsy determined that Cherie drowned shortly after her disappearance on Dec. 2, 1996, and was alive when she either fell into the river or was thrown in. Police labeled the death suspicious, and authorities found a small DNA sample on her underwear and body. Mitchell lived in nearby Middleburg at the time of the girl's death, police said Thursday. Mitchell later moved to Connecticut and was convicted in January 2003 of illegal sexual contact with another child.
