Naked black in cowboy hat enters Georgia home Police say a man was arrested after breaking into a home while wearing nothing but a cowboy hat in Johns Creek, Ga., on Monday. "They're like, what was he wearing? And I'm like, absolutely nothing... a cowboy hat," homeowner Cori Davenport said about the call she made to 911. She knew something was wrong after she heard her daughter scream in their home. Davenport came downstairs and found Ashdon Gibbs in her kitchen — completely in the buff. "Our garage was up, he came in through the garage and she was in the kitchen. He just walked in," she said. Police say he tried to steal a motorcycle from their driveway before coming inside, and the Davenport's surveillance cameras caught the whole thing. But that was just the end of Gibbs' day. Police say his alleged crime spree started when he stole a car Monday morning. It gets weirder from there. "The subject had driven a stolen vehicle that he had stolen from Decatur, burglarized two homes within the Prestwick subdivision and at some point took off all of his clothes," Lt. Byers said. "In one of the houses that he broke in to, he did consume a beer while he made himself a meal and watched baseball on their TV," said Byers. - (Black-on-white) |

Black Wayne Circuit Judge McCree removed from bench due to outrageous sexual misconduct Detroit — Wayne County Circuit Judge Wade H. McCree Jr. was removed from office and will be suspended without pay if voters re-elect him this year, the Michigan Supreme Court ruled Wednesday. In a 34-page ruling that issues a blistering indictment of McCree’s misconduct in office that began in 2012, including an affair with a witness in a case before him, the state’s highest court concluded, “The cumulative effect of respondent’s misconduct convinces this court that respondent should not remain in judicial office and we therefore remove him from that office and conditionally suspend him without pay for six years beginning on Jan. 1, 2015, with the suspension becoming effective only if respondent is re-elected to judicial office in November 2014.” The justices added “the likelihood of his continuing to commit judicial misconduct is high.” The court said in its ruling that McCree’s misconduct undermined the justice system. |

Man Facing Attempted Murder Charge In St. Cloud Bar Shooting MINNEAPOLIS – A 24-year-old Mississippi man is accused of shooting a bar employee in St. Cloud last weekend after he was kicked out of the bar for giving alcohol to underage girls, according to charges filed Tuesday in Stearns County Court. Cordney Terell Holmes was charged with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with the incident, which happened Saturday outside the Press Bar in St. Cloud. When authorities arrived, they found a victim on the ground who had been shot multiple times in the abdomen and stomach. The complaint states the victim — James Alan Gackstetter, 31, of St. Cloud — was an employee at the bar and had asked Holmes to leave after it was discovered he was providing alcohol to two underage girls. Elderly White man killed, 1 wounded in Goodlettsville home invasion by two blacks GOODLETTSVILLE, TN - Metro police are searching for two gunmen after a deadly weekend home invasion in Goodlettsville. According to police, two masked gunmen broke into the home of 76-year-old Jack Davis Jr. on Saturday night. The men killed Davis and shot a 64-year-old friend who was also at the home on Springfield Highway. The wounded man was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he is expected to recover. Police say the two intruders demanded money from the victims before they opened fire. The pair got away in a light colored pickup truck, possibly an older model with a square front end. Davis was known to conduct business at his home, including buying and selling vehicles. "He was a great man. He was a wonderful man," said Anthony Woods, who worked for Davis. "He helped a lot of people and kept a lot of people in work." Some question whether the well-known businessman may have been targeted by someone who knew him, possibly someone looking to buy a car. "He was just selling, going to the auction, getting cars. And he'd set them out here in front of his house and sell two or three at a time," Woods said. The 64-year-old man wounded in the shooting was interviewed by detectives. He reported that two black men with their faces partially covered entered the home at 9 p.m. Saturday and demanded money before opening fire. Police said the assailants may have fled the area in an older model pickup truck with a square front end. Ga. Supreme Court throws out Macon Co. death sentence for racist black that murdered a White man Georgia's Supreme Court has thrown out the conviction and death sentence for a man convicted of killing a Macon County bank vice president in 1999. The court ruled that Artemus Rick Walker was probably incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness. They said the lawyer who represented him at his 2002 murder trial failed to present evidence about his mental illness that might have prevented the conviction. On May 12, 1999, the court's summary said Walker stabbed Lynwood Ray Gresham 12 times, in the chest and back, outside Gresham's home. Walker hired a second man to help him rob and kill a "rich" man, the summary said. After the pair rode their bikes to Gresham's home, the second man refused to stab Gresham himself. Friday's ruling upheld a 2009 ruling in Butts County, where the state's death row is located. That court heard testimony about Walker's mental state. On May 12, 1999, the court's summary said Walker stabbed Lynwood Ray Gresham 12 times, in the chest and back, outside Gresham's home. Walker hired a second man to help him "rob and kill a rich white man" the summary said. After the pair rode their bikes to Gresham's home, the second man refused to stab Gresham himself. - (Black-on-white) |

"I never knew kids lived there period." But they did; eight of them. Now, Tampa Police investigators believe the life those children were living was, at times, severe, cruel, and bizarre and it happened, they say, at the hands of their mother. As of Friday, detectives were still interviewing the children who have, up to this point, described a life of abuse, including having to eat their own vomit. Jamie Marie Hicks, 43 is the mother of all eight children, according to police. Her husband, Vernon Lovell, 53 of the same address, fathered five of those kids and was step-dad to the others, who are the oldest. |
Daughters of beaten white woman thankful she's alive JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The daughters of a woman found beaten and bruised Sunday in front of a storage unit in the Sunbeam area of Southside are thankful their mom is still alive. They said she was held captive for two days and narrowly escaped when the man she said was keeping her fell asleep. Haywood West, 38, was arrested and charged with felony battery causing great bodily harm, permanent disability or disfigurement, and false imprisonment. Two strangers found the woman on the side of the road, stumbling toward their car and called 911. "For the people who stopped for my mother, I would love to meet them and say thank you so much for helping my mom, 'cause she probably wouldn't have survived," one daughter said. The victim's daughters said they're disgusted and hurt by what their mom said happened to her over the weekend. Graphic images show how badly she was beaten. The woman was naked, bruised and bleeding. (Daughters) Mandy and Melissa said their mom and West were friends, but they said she had no clue what she was walking into. The daughters said doctors think their mom will be blind. She's supposed to have surgery by Tuesday. - (Black-on-white) |

DNA connects black man to murder of White Winter Haven homeless man WINTER HAVEN, FL - Winter Haven Police have made an arrest in the murder of a homeless man. Police say James Stewart was found deceased in Inman Park on March 1st. On Thursday, police arrested 43-year-old Demarco Ginn of Winter Haven in connection to his murder. Detectives linked Ginn to the murder after finding blood on a pair of jeans in a duffle bag belonging to him which matched Stewart's DNA. Detectives also learned of the connection between the two by witnesses who stated that Stewart received monthly checks and with the most recent check purchased a bike that he obtained while Ginn was nearby. After Stewart was found dead, detectives say Ginn was seen attempting to sell the bike. However, to date, the bike has not been located. Black Man Found Guilty In White Grosse Pointe Park Neighbor’s Murder DETROIT - A man has been found guilty in the murder of his neighbor who was beaten and strangled in her Grosse Pointe Park home last May. The prosecution called 40 witnesses to prove that Myron Williams was addicted to crack, and so desperate for the drug that he was willing to kill for it. A cord was found around 35-year-old Sabrina Gianino’s neck when her body was found in the flat she shared with her boyfriend on Wayburn Street, near Jefferson — just east of the Detroit city limit. The Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide caused by strangulation and blunt force trauma to the head. Prosecutors said, after killing Gianino, Williams walked to his nearby dealer’s house and where he traded the victim’s laptop and some other belongings for $30 and a crack rock. - (Black-on-white) |

That’s why he is shocked that it was robbed at gunpoint just after 6 p.m. Wednesday night. Surveillance video inside the business shows two men walking in. One man went behind the bar and demanded cash from the register, while the other pointed a gun at three customers in the bar. Then, the robber behind the bar jumped over the counter, and the two ran off. It all happened in just 28 seconds. “By the time they were in here and to this side of the bar, I knew they weren't here for beer or tacos,” said bartender Wende Wagner, who was behind the bar when it all happened. Wagner describes the men who robbed the St. Roch Tavern as young black males. The gunman was wearing a dark sweatshirt and dark beanie with a pom pom. The other suspect had a black hoodie with thin tan stripes, pulled tight around his face. - (Black-on-white) |

Family Afraid Bullying Will Turn Into Bullets - black mother leads home invasion and pack attack on White family A Memphis mother is out on bond, accused of helping her teen daughter beat up a 15-year-old girl. Police say Angela Thomas led a whole group of teenagers to the 15-year-old’s house and even joined in on the attack, which also hurt the girl’s father. The Crane family, who lives in the Berclair neighborhood, says they are living in fear of not knowing what could happen next after being attacked by eight teenage girls and a mother. Billy Crane’s 15-year-old daughter has a black eye and a busted lip. “The mother runs up and is cussing me in my face and at the time, the little kids just ran around and up in the house,” said Crane. “I was stunned. I was like what? In my house? Then the mama followed in behind them.” Police say Thomas joined in on the beating of the 15-year-old. Billy says he struggled to get her and the rest of girls out of his house. “I got scratches all over my neck and back.” Billy says after the girls beat up his daughter, they came outside and one of them grabbed a brick and threw it at him. “I saw it out it of the corner of my eye, a brick coming and just tried to dodge it.” The brick hit him in the arm, leaving a yellowing bruise.
