Killing White Cellmate Gets Black Second Life Sentence A Chicago man earned his second life prison sentence, pleading guilty to the first-degree murder of his prison cell mate. Richard Conner, 40, admitted he strangled 37-year-old Jameson Leezer to death while the men shared a cell. Judge Richard Schoenstedt said he had no choice in sentencing Conner, who is already serving life for a 1991 murder in Cook County. Leezer was found dead in his cell in April 2009, prosecutors said, after Conner told them he’d killed his “celly.” Officials have said they believe Leezer, who was white, and Conner, who is black, got into a fight about race. Though Conner was serving a life sentence for murder, officials said Leezer was a “short-timer” serving a five-year sentence for possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Jury convicts Negro of Rancho Cordova sex murder  Demetrius Shaffer, 32, is likely to be sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for the sex killing of Rajneet Kor Singh on Jan. 1, 2011. Black Tulsa teacher arrested, charged with rape of student Maurice Parker, a history teacher at Central High School in Tulsa has been arrested for the 2nd-degree rape of a student. “Second Degree rape is defined by anybody in a position of authority that uses authority possibly to further that relationship.” Investigators say Parker had three sexual encounters with an 18-year-old student. - (Black rapes) |
Officials still seeking Negro rape suspect Aiken County Sheriff's Office investigators have followed up on a handful of leads in their search to find a man who reportedly slipped into an Aiken woman's residence while she was outside checking her mail earlier this month, and upon her return, raped her at gunpoint, officials said. Deputies said the assault occurred around 9:30 a.m.. The victim said the man held her at gunpoint, forced her to disrobe and sexually assaulted her. - (Black rapes) |

Pensacola negro charged with impregnating 14-year-old relative A Pensacola man was charged with first-degree sexual assault and cruelty toward a child for allegedly impregnating a teenage relative. Henry James Jones, 46, remained in Jail on Wednesday under $750,000 bond on charges of sex assault of a child under 16 by a custodian older than 21 and cruelty toward a child. The 14-year-old girl reported that Jones, a relative, sexually battered her and she became pregnant, having a baby in December 2009. A paternity test concluded in November that Jones was the father of the teen’s child. - (Newsroom) |
Black charged in 1977 murder, rape in New Bern A man accused of killing and burying a Wilmington woman has been charged in connection to a cold case right here in the east. Craven County officials have charged 55-year-old Andrew Bernard Adams with the 1977 murder and rape of Gwendolyn Nelson. He's suspected of killing a 24-year-old female last week and burying her in his backyard. Adams has already spent half his life in prison for raping a teenager in Wilmington in 1978. Black dumps naked rape victim's body, thinking she's dead A man is accused of raping a woman Sunday and dumping her naked body on the side of a city street, thinking that she was dead. The woman faked her death to escape him. Kevin Kennedy Gilchrest, 48, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, second-degree rape, kidnapping and assault by strangulation. Two black South Fulton rape suspects could be linked to more assaults  Police have identified a second suspect wanted in a pair of rapes that occurred within hours of one another in an abandoned south Fulton home. And, police say, the two men may have been been involved in additional sexual assaults in the area. Kendall Lawrence, 21, should be considered armed and dangerous, said Fulton County police. The man is wanted for armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, aggravated sodomy and possession of a firearm in the commission of felony for the Dec. 9 assaults on Old National Highway. Black Lufkin man gets 55 years for rape A district judge sentenced a Lufkin man to 55 years in prison in connection to his breaking into the home of a woman and raping her. Antonio Brumley broke into a 59-year-old woman's home and raped her. On November 30, Brumley pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of burglary of a habitation. "The main thing that stood out in my mind was that he was not remorseful. He kind of regretted that he would be punished, but he did not regret what he did," said Diaz. - (Black rapes) |

Two blacks charged in murder of White Security Guard  Greensboro police have charged two men in the death of Christopher Mason on Christmas Eve. Frederick Lamar Dee, 28, and Lemiah Wyatt Sanders, 18, have each been charged with First Degree Murder. Police issue warrant for black suspect in murder of pregnant White woman  Danielle Marie Watson had recently learned she was expecting her first child, and she and her fiance were planning a wedding. She'd begun looking at bridal dresses. She was happy. But on Saturday morning, the 25-year-old's body was found behind a large trash bin in a Ballantyne shopping center, apparently slain during a robbery at the nearby restaurant where she had worked the night before. Now authorities are searching for a co-worker - a man who was released from prison about two months ago - who police said killed her. Black Del. man sexually assaulted girl, 9 Delaware police say the girl was 9 years old when she says she was attacked by one of her brothers' friends, who had previously been convicted of a sex crime. Investigators arrested Brent L. Kane, 22, after the girl recently told her father about the incident which happened in August 2009. The girl told her father that Kane -- who was already a registered sex offender from a conviction in 2003 -- was at her home visiting her brothers when she fell asleep. Colored 15-year-old Maryland boy sentenced 85 years for rape and murder of White teacher  A 15-year-old was sentenced to 85 years in prison for killing and sexually assaulting his teacher at a Maryland youth facility. Brian Wonsom pleaded guilty to killing his teacher Hannah Wheeling with a cinder block. Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said. Colored Man 20, Charged with Raping Girl, 13 New Castle County Police have arrested Marvin Banks. He has been charged with rape in the fourth degree after he engaged in sexual relations with an acquaintance. On December 3, 2011, detectives were assigned to investigate a reported rape involving a 13 year old girl. Police learned that the incident occurred while the Pennsylvania teen was visiting a residence in Delaware. Colored Royal Caribbean cruise ship employee charged with sex assault of 14-year-old girl  A pool boy on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship was indicted for an alleged locker-room hookup with an underage girl. Fabian Palmer, 25, was indicted in U.S. District Court on a charge of sex abuse of a minor after authorities say he lured the 14-year-old into a sexual encounter aboard the ship. After befriending the girl and her family earlier in the cruise, Palmer took her into a men’s locker room on Dec. 23 and began having sex with her until another worker knocked on the door, the victim told authorities. - (Newsroom) |
Colored Jackson man gets 20 years for rape of neighbor Prosecutors say a 60-year-old Jackson Township woman endured a nightmare when a stranger entered her apartment in the middle on the night, held her down in her bed and raped her. “It was horrific. The intensity of it and the multiple ways he raped her,” said Kristen Mlinar, assistant Stark County prosecutor. A jury this week convicted the man charged in the incident, Marqus L. Brown, on counts of rape, aggravated burglary and kidnapping. And Brown was ordered to spend the next 20 years in prison. - (Black rapes) |
Colored man charged with rape in home invasion A Lynbrook man has been arrested on charges that he raped a woman during a home invasion and robbery in Hempstead, Nassau County police said. Wiseallah Hightower-Castro, 24, of Starks Place, is charged with first-degree rape, committing a criminal sexual act, robbery, burglary, criminal use of a firearm, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. White woman victim’s final minutes caught on video before kidnap, rape and baseball bat murder  New developments in the murder of Beverly Hope Melton, the last time the victim was seen in public was caught on store surveillance. The video shows the final minutes of Hope Melton's life, when she made that fateful stop at a Chesterfield County gas station. In the video, Melton walks within inches of the man investigators say kidnapped, raped and beat her to death. The video captures the last images anyone will ever see of Hope Melton alive. It came Monday as Melton stopped at Jack's convenience store in Jefferson. The footage shows accused killer Nickolas Miller walk in and head to the beer cooler. Police arrest black bodybuilder after his white girlfriend dies from head injury  Police arrested a man in connection with the death of a woman who was found with a serious head injury on Christmas Eve and died the next day. Prudence Hockley, a teacher at Woodinville High School, stepped outside her home to talk to her boyfriend, a bodybuilder named Johnnie Lee Wiggins. Witnesses said they heard voices and then a loud thump. Hockley’s 13-year-old daughter went outside and found her mother unconscious on the ground on the side of the house.The suspect was seen walking away from the woman, and that he got into his car and drove off. - (Newsroom) - (Black-on-white) |
White Woman Kidnapped, Sexually Assaulted, Beaten to Death by Black Deputies have charged Nickolas Jermaine Miller who they say sexually assaulted and beat a woman to death after taking her from a Chesterfield County store. The body of Beverly Hope Melton, 30, was found in a secluded area of Kershaw County after the suspect led deputies to the woman's body. Miller is currently detained in Kershaw County on a murder charge, and deputies have planned to charge him with kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct. Melton and Miller did not know each other before the "horribly brutal" attack. Miller began harassing Melton at a convenience store. Melton called her grandmother and told her she was afraid and that Miller was following her. Miller admitted to killing Melton, and led them to her body. Deputies located Melton's body behind two abandoned turkey barns. - (Black rapes) - (Newsroom) - (Black-on-white) Surveillance camera video showed Miller “harassing” the victim while she was in the store. The woman was sexually assaulted, driven to Kershaw County, where she was assaulted again and “viciously beaten to death with a baseball bat,” according to Matthews. Matthews said. “If this woman had had a concealed weapons permit and a firearm, this would not have happened. That’s why I advocate for people getting them.” |
Two blacks held in murder of 7-year-old White girl and her uncle   The death penalty may be possible in the Cumberland killings. For now, 22-year-old Michael Bell and 25-year-old Jeremy Priel remain in the Marion County Jail, held without bond in connection with the shooting deaths of 7-year-old Kyleigh Crane and her uncle, 21-year-old Jeremy Crane. Black Suspect Arrested For Murder and Kidnapping of Missing White Wilmington Woman  Dwight L. Smith was charged with two counts of Murder 1st Degree and one count of Kidnapping 1st Degree. The female body recovered yesterday afternoon off of Rockwood Road during a ground and air search has been tentatively identified as that of Marsha Lee, the victim of the abduction. A cause of death and positive identification is pending an autopsy. Black school teacher stabbed White school teacher 'about 16 times'  Students, parents and staff are stunned after a Poughkeepsie High School English teacher was accused of stabbing another teacher with a screwdriver about 16 times in a crowded hallway. Ronette Ricketts, 40, was charged with first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault, both felonies, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. Ricketts is due in Court this morning. The unrepentant rapist disappeared after the Aug. 1, 1998 rape and bludgeoning murder of 29-year-old Christine Mirzayan in Georgetown.
