Convicted killer Bryan Eric Wolfe executed Death Row inmate Bryan Eric Wolfe is scheduled to die by lethal injection tomorrow night in Texas. Wolfe was sentenced to death for the February 1992 capital murder of Bertha Lemell in Beaumont. The 84-year-old`s body was found inside her Beaumont home. She had 26 stab wounds covering her body. Lemell`s coin purse was lying next to her, with money taken from it. Several blood samples taken from the crime scene were subjected to DNA testing and matched Wolfe`s genetic markers. |
Paroled rapist finally busted after baby-sitter's throat is slashed and teenage girl sexually assaulted in horrific day-long spree A paroled rapist unleashed a murderous crime spree, a three-borough rampage that left a baby-sitter dead and a teenage girl sexually assaulted, police said. Detectives captured Andre Shobey, 45, outside a lower East Side housing project. Shobey had dragged a 15-year-old girl to the building's rooftop, where he sexually assaulted her. The devastated family of Terrance Neal, the 19-year-old baby-sitter killed in Queens, said he was "butchered" by Shobey. "He was in bed, blood was all over. Education: Teacher Accused Of Offering Student Cocaine For Sex A teacher in Volusia County, Fla., has been charged with trying to lure a 17-year-old from school for sex by offering her cocaine. Police said Michael Ramsey was suspended from his job at the Volusia-Flagler Techbridge program after being arrested last week.

New Orleans Police Identify Suspects In Mid-1990s Rapes New Orleans police have issued arrest warrants for two men wanted in connection with two separate sexual assault investigations. The first attack occurred in July of 1995. According to investigators, Charles Jones, 41, picked up a 38-year-old female acquaintance and brought her to the 2600 block of General Meyer Avenue, where he held her against her will. Police said Jones attacked the woman with a belt and tried to rape her.
 The second attack occurred in September of 1996. Police said Aaron Taylor, 37, forced his way into a woman's home in the 2200 block of Chartres Street and sexually assaulted her. Taylor faces charges of aggravated rape and aggravated burglary. - (White Boy) |

Miami Officer Charged In Home Invasion, Robbery A Miami police officer is facing felony charges after teaming up with a self-proclaimed enforcer of business problems. Officer Milton McKinnon and two other men were seeking retribution after a check for three watches purchased at a Coconut Grove jewelry store was canceled. Police said it began when a person described as a Brazilian national paid the jewelry store owner, David Levinson, for the watches with the $61,000 check.. According to police, McKinnon was in uniform and on duty when security cameras at a condo caught the trio descending upon the victims, who were described as Brazilian nationals. T he three waved guns around and stole a $50,000 watch and $47,000 in cash from the Brazilians, who then contacted the Miami Police Department. - (Gman) |
Arrest Made in Rape of Elderly St. Paul Woman Calvin Keith Williams has been charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct and first degree burglary in connection with the May 6 incident. According to the complaint, Williams assaulted and robbed the 65-year-old victim while she was watching television in her living room. He reportedly asked the woman where she kept her purse and then told the woman he was going to rape her and asked where she kept soap and water. |
Man Executed for Killing Kids' 84-year-old Babysitter Texas -- Bryan Wolfe was executed Wednesday for the fatal stabbing of his children's 84-year-old babysitter during a robbery. Wolfe, 44, was on parole from Louisiana and had fled a work-release program when he was arrested for the 1992 slaying of Bertha Lemell in her Beaumont home. Lemell had been stabbed 26 times. Around $40 was believed taken from her change purse, which also contained some black-eyed peas she carried for good luck. |

Shooting Injures White Woman Who Stopped For Gas  WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- A woman was shot in the neck outside a Warrensburg convenience store early Sunday morning, police said. Michelle Kinnison, 20, and her two brothers stopped for gas shortly after midnight. Then, a car pulled up and someone started shooting, officials said.

School Consultant Raped Student CINCINNATI -- A local man is accused of raping a high school student while working in the school system. Police said James Bohannon, 25, was arrested and charged with rape and sexual battery Friday. Bohannon was employed by a computer company, but was working in Cincinnati Public Schools. Investigators said he had access to students and acted with authority. According to police, Bohannon befriended a student and had forced and consensual sexual contact with the victim. - (White Boy) |
Man Beaten After Allegedly Sexually Molesting 8-month-old Daughter of his Girlfriend A man was arraigned from his hospital bed on Tuesday after he was beaten in what police say may have been a revenge attack. Isiah Woods was charged with domestic violence and second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Woods is accused of beating his girlfriend and sexually assaulting her 8-month-old daughter at an apartment in Ypsilanti on Sunday. After the woman fled the apartment with the child, neighbors said some of her family members came to the apartment and beat the man in the head with a gun, the station reported. - (Gman) |
Man called 'destroyer of children' is executed  Vernon Brown, who killed a 9-year-old girl and a 19-year-old woman, and was a suspect in another child killing was executed at 2:35 a.m. Wednesday morning. In 1985, Brown strangled 19-year-old Synetta Ford, whose body was found in her basement apartment in a building where Brown worked as a maintenance man. Ford was strangled with an electrical cord from a curling iron and stabbed. Brown tried to convince police the woman accidentally stabbed herself. - On Oct. 24, 1986, 9-year-old Janet Perkins was walking home from school when Brown enticed the child into his home. He locked his stepsons in their bedroom and took the girl to the basement. There, he bound her feet and a hand with a wire coat hanger and strangled her with a rope. |
4 More Women Accuse Central Fla. Preacher Of Rape Police in Eatonville, Fla., are investigating four more rape allegations against a 71-year-old minister arrested Friday on charges of sexual battery. Five women have already accused Bishop Lura Williams of sexually assaulting them. Williams is the pastor at the World Wide Revival Center in Eatonville. Williams faced charges for another sexual assault in 2000 but the case was dropped. The 71-year-old was taken into custody over the weekend and remains in the Orange County Jail. - (Dark Crimes) |
Sketch Released Of Gold-toothed Black Suspect In Abduction, Rape Police said a 26-year-old woman was abducted at knifepoint from the corner of Northwest 10th Avenue and 74th Street in Miami and was later raped. Police have released a sketch of the man they believe abducted and raped the woman. They said he is a black man between 35 and 40 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 200 pounds. He also has stitches on the right part of his forehead, a scar under his right eye and gold upper teeth.

Stephen Soules gets life for raping and killing a Western Kentucky University student in her dorm room   A Scottsville man who admitted raping and killing a Western Kentucky University student in her dorm room will spend the rest of his life in prison with no chance for parole. Barring the emergence of new evidence, the sentencing of Stephen Soules yesterday concluded the investigation into the 2003 arson attack on Melissa "Katie" Autry, officials said. Autry, 18, was raped, sodomized and set on fire in her dorm room on May 4, 2003. Florida Supremem Court rejects appeal in Pinellas Park rape-slaying of woman, 93 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- The Supreme Court rejected an appeal today from a death row inmate condemned for beating, raping and strangling a 93-year-old in her Pinellas Park home. Anthony Washington was sentenced to death for the 1989 murder of Alice Berdat, a 102-pound, 93-year-old woman, even though a jury recommended that he be sentenced to life in prison. Her body was badly bruised. There were signs that she had been vaginally and anally raped, and she suffered seventeen rib fractures. - (Dark crimes) |
North Carolina man arrested in the kidnapping and raping of two in South Carolina A North Carolina man has been charged in the kidnapping and rape of a 16-year-old girl and 38-year-old woman, both in South Carolina, police said. Dominique Lamar Morman charged with rape of mentally handicapped classmate on bus A 17-year-old teenager has been arrested in connection with a rape of another student on a Pender County school bus. Authorities say both the defendant and the victim are students at Heide Trask High School. Dominique Lamar Morman was arrested Thursday and taken to the Pender County Jail. He is charged with raping a 17-year-old mentally handicapped student on a bus in April. Police say the two were the only passengers riding home from Trask High School. |
