Black Pair (only) get 43 years for slaying of White woman at Camden train station  CAMDEN, N.J. -- Marcus Toliver and Ryshaone Thomas were rewarded with a generous 43 years in prison with free room, board and medical for the 2001 murder of a bride-to-be. They remained stone-faced as a judge angrily rebuked them and relatives of their victim sobbed and railed against the criminal justice system. The judge said "You have nothing of value to the human race." Eberle's mother, Linda Reis, said she continues to pay her daughter's cell phone bill just so she can dial the number and hear her voice on her voicemail greeting. Son Charged With Murder In Shooting Death Of Ex-Cop Father  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A former police officer is dead, allegedly shot by his oldest son after a disagreement erupted into gunfire overnight. Tim Coleman Sr., 42, was shot as he stood on the porch of a home and died later. Police say Tim Coleman Jr., 21, got into an altercation with his father just before midnight. Investigators said the elder Coleman then went to his ex-wife's house to talk to his 16-year-old son about the fight when Coleman Jr. showed up and shot at his father several times. "He said he didn't mean to do it, that he was sorry."
Tim Coleman Sr. retired after 14 years with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. He was facing termination in 1997 for domestic violence. His police personnel record shows several sustained complaints of unbecoming conduct and improper action, as well as one for insubordination. This isn't the first tragedy for the Coleman family. The victim's brother was shot and killed in 1989 by his ex-girlfriend on the University of North Florida campus. New York Man Charged In 1986 Florida Slaying ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- George McCloud was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Sharon McWhorter, a part-time janitor whose nude body was found dumped behind a middle school in Bartow, Fla., in March 1986. McWhorter, 23, had been strangled. McCloud, who knew the woman, was a suspect at the time of her death. McCloud moved to western New York after being released from a Florida prison, where he served time on drug and burglary charges. A girls' basketball coach at Troup Middle School, in jail Friday on charges of sexually assaulting at least two teenage girls A girls' basketball coach at Troup Middle School, in jail on charges of sexually assaulting at least two teenage girls, had been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon last August - before the school district hired him. Samuel Antonio Sutton, known as Tony, turned himself in to the Troup Police Department about two weeks after he resigned from Troup Independent School District. The coach, who also taught junior high science classes, did not cite a reason for stepping down. The charges involve alleged acts with 15- and 17-year-old Troup students, and a 14-year-old student at Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler. - (aryan_barbarian) |
Lowdown Lakeland high school student arrested for homosexual abuse on little boys at a daycare center Lakeland Police officers say, they arrested Antoin Barber at George Jenkins High School Wednesday morning. They say, he performed sex acts on a five-year old and kissed two other children on the lips. According to officers he also showed the victims pornographic movies, while at Lanier Family Daycare. | Rape charge filed in assaults on 12-year-old girl A Columbia man was arrested early yesterday after a 12-year-old girl told Columbia police she was sexually assaulted by him in her mother’s bedroom. Carl Hill, 41, of 103 E. Forest Ave. was arrestedand charged yesterday with first-degree statutory rape, and Judge Jodie Asel set bond for him at $50,000. Hill remained yesterday in the Boone County Jail. According to the news release, Hill was an acquaintance of the alleged victim’s mother and had apparently committed other sexual acts with the victim on more than one occasion.

Police Arrest Three Suspects In Death Of Southeast Raleigh Woman  Raleigh police have arrested Ezavia Allen, Marvin Johnson, and Cameron Morris in a fatal shooting of a southeast Raleigh woman; Each have been charged with murder. Police esponded to a shooting call. They found the victim, Shirley Newkirk, 63, inside the house. She was declared dead at the scene, police said. At least five more women believe they were raped by a black serial rape fiend Two of the women contacted the he Manhattan District Attorney after alleged rapist Fletcher Worrell's picture appeared this week in newspapers all over the East Coast — where authorities believe he has been on an unbroken rape spree since the early 1970s. "That's him!" screamed one New Jersey woman when she saw Worrell's picture, her husband told prosecutors. The woman said that Worrell pulled a knife and tried to rape her when she lived in Manhattan in the early 1970s but that the crime had never been solved. Another former New York woman, who now lives in Florida, identified Worrell as the fiend who raped her at knifepoint in Queens around the same time. For 32 years at the Manhattan DA's cavernous case archives, a pair of semen-stained green panties has sat — vouchered, sealed in plastic and forgotten — inside a red paper envelope. - (reader link) |
Florida: Officers Arrest Serial Rape Suspect Officers arrested a serial rape suspect they believe terrorized north Miami-Dade County for more than two years, police said. Miami-Dade County police said the man was arrested in North Florida. Police have not yet released the suspect's name. Police said the man, known as the North Dade rapist, would break into his victim's homes, rob them and rape them.

New Orleans: 3 black teens booked in killing of White waitress   Detectives believe the three black teens, Marcus, Darnell and Ahmad, confronted Alyssa Kovash and another woman as they got out of a cab at Robert Street and St. Charles Avenue. According to the survivor, who worked with Kovash at Crescent City Brewhouse, the robbers pulled a gun and demanded their purses. Kovash fought back and one of the men fired a single shot that hit her in the head. She was taken to Charity Hospital and died a day later. Police said all three gave statements to detectives detailing their participation in the killing. Marcus Pleasant, 17, was arrested and booked on first-degree murder charges.Darnell Gilmore, 18, who had been locked up in prison since April 19 on unrelated charges, also was booked with first-degree murder. Former teacher's aid accused of sexual contact with seven students - both male and female ranging in age from 11 to 15-years-old Among other alleged acts too graphic to describe, Schmeca White allegedly gave a 15-year-old student a lap dance and also asked students to remove some of their clothing. Among the allegations by prosecutors against White are that she forced an 11-year-old boy to touch her with his mouth and that she pulled down the pants of a 13-year-old girl and touched her inappropriately. Clarence Williams, 58, spent half his life on the lam. Now he's been linked to a 1973 knifepoint rape in Chelsea and two 1993 attacks in New Jersey, and tagged as the Silver Spring Rapist who terrorized the suburbs of Washington from 1987 to 1991. | Inmate Executed For 1993 Murder Of His GrandmotherDonald Jones was executed early Wednesday morning, for the 1993 murder of his grandmother Dorothy Knuckles. He stabbed the woman more than 30 times because she refused to give him money to buy drugs. When Knuckles lectured him about his abuse of drugs and refused to give him cash, Jones first beat her with a butcher's block of knives, then repeatedly stabbed her. After the killing, Jones rented out his grandmother's car and used the payments to buy drugs. Man is charged in grisly mutilation stabbing of his grandmother's boyfriend - his grandmother also found dead  St. Louis police were led to a gruesome crime scene by Jamal Whitt, who had admitted to them that he had killed his grandmother's male friend there. Police found the victim, Rodney Staples, 39, in the blood-soaked apartment of the suspect's grandmother, Mary Morant, 64. Staples was stabbed to death with several knives, and his body was mutilated. And near Staples' body was that of Morant, whose body had no marks of violence. Teacher Charged with Molesting Two 10-year-old Girls An elementary school teacher has been arrested in connection with alleged inappropriate conduct with female students. . Marion Marshall, 47, was being held at County Jail, where he is facing several charges, including three counts of child molestation and one count of sexual battery. Police have accused the educator of molesting some students inside the school and making inappropriate comments. Police launched an investigation after receiving the case from the county's Department of Family and Children Services. 4 Arrested in "Revenge Murder" PHILADELPHIA- — Four people, three of them teenagers, were charged with murder for allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old girl, beating her, trying to set her on fire and tossing her into a river. Christine Marie Ham, of Brookhaven, was lured to a small park behind a public housing complex in southwest Philadelphia, where she was attacked. Police said that the teen was still alive when she was thrown into the water and managed to crawl back to shore, where she died. "Her excruciating ordeal and pain lasted at least an hour and perhaps more," the District Attorney said. "This killing was planned and not spur of the moment." Police charged Derrell Savage, 20; Demarcus Hamms, 19; Felicia Dawson, 19; and John Garrett, 17, with murder, criminal conspiracy and weapons offenses.

Black confesses to murdering White grandfather over joke made seven years ago   Philadelphia Police have arrested and charged a man with the Easter day murder of William Berkeyheiser. He was shot dead as he answered his front door. Stanford Douglas Jr., 29 claimed that Berkeyheiser made a racial joke in 1998 when the two worked together at a nursing home and that he had been thinking about killing Berkeyheiser since. Berkeyheiser's wife said her husband never would have made a joke like that because she is a minority, herself. Investigators said Douglas paid a private detective $150 to locate Berkeyheiser, who had recently retired. Man Gets 30 Years For Raping, Impregnating 11-Year-Old Daughter - Man Tells Court He Saw Daughter As His Girlfriend  Cleveland - Eric Banks will spend the next 30 years in prison for raping and impregnating his 11-year-old daughter. He was sentenced Monday on 29 rape charges and 29 kidnapping charges. Banks will also be labeled a sexual predator.

Seminole County Wendy's Workers Orethal and Dyshaun Charged In Rape Of Co-Worker   An 18-year-old worker at a Wendy's restaurant in Seminole County, Fla., told police she was attacked and raped by two of her co-workers. The woman said the men attacked her while she was in the women's restroom at the restaurant. The woman told police she was changing clothes and getting ready to leave when she was allegedly attacked. Orenthal Hughes, 26, and Dyshaun Collins, 23, face charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment. Both are being held without bond in the Seminole County Jail. - (Gman) |
Former Suffolk Mayor Facing Solicitation for Prostitution and Assault Charges Former Suffolk Mayor Johnnie Eugene Mizelle was indicted by a grand jury on one count of assault and battery and one count of solicitation for prostitution. The charges stem from a 43-year old female who claims she was a client of Mizelle's. The woman claims she met with Mizelle twice. During those meetings, she alleges he assaulted her by groping her with his hands and suggested that she perform sexual favors in exchange for legal fees owed. Mizelle served on Suffolk City Council from 1984 to 1992. He was elected as Suffolk's first black mayor in 1986, and served in that capacity for four year. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |
Florida: Police: Man Accused Of Carjacking, Shooting Captured Nearby Police said a man from Mayo, Fla., who was withdrawing money from an ATM ended up carjacked and shot in the back, but police caught the man they believe was responsible just a few blocks away. Investigators said Alexzander Brown III robbed the man who was withdrawing money at a convenience store. Police said Brown then took off with the man's car, allegedly shooting the victim in the back as he ran away. Brown was captured nearby and arrested on charges including carjacking, kidnapping and armed robbery. - (Tyrone N. Butts) |
