| Hampton Man Charged with Attempting to Rape His GirlfriendHampton police have charged a man with attempting to rape his girlfriend. Police say a verbal altercation turned into a struggle and attempted rape. Police dispatchers received a 911 call around 3:30pm on Sunday. There was no caller on the other end, but dispatchers could hear a woman crying. Officers responded to the address in the first block of Pacific Drive, and found the victim with injuries to her face and extremities. Police say that 32-year-old Eric Christopher Logan, Sr., and the victim were in a verbal altercation. Logan then forcibly removed the victim's clothing, and attempted to rape her. - (Tyrone N. Low-down elementary school teacher was arrested last week for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old boy Cocoa police have received more than 12 calls from the families of other possible sex abuse victims after an elementary school teacher was arrested last week for allegedly molesting a student. Investigators said Daniel Cliatt had been sexually abusing the same 13-year-old boy four times a week since January at Endeavor Elementary School. The boy told police that Cliatt would show him homosexual pornography videos and then perform sexual acts on him in a classroom. Police found one of the porn tapes hidden inside a school classroom. - (Brewski) |
Ex-officer accused in rapes may have tampered with ankle monitor HOUSTON — A former deputy constable and police officer who runs his own security business is accused of the kidnap and sexual assault of a teenage girl and the rape of another woman. Ronnie Wayne Jackson was a Precinct 2 deputy constable and a police captain. But right now he's a county inmate. Police charged the former police captain with sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping. They say he picked a woman up and later raped her. Jackson faces one other sexual assault charge for an alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl and also an active investigation of into a supposed attack of a 14-year-old girl. - (Brewski)

Jury Finds California Man Guilty In Kidnap-Rape-Murder Of 14-Year-Old  CHICAGO -- A jury found Skyler Chambers guilty of all charges in the 2002 abduction, rape and slaying of 14-year-old High School freshman Nassim Davoodi. The jury deliberated for just under five hours before convicting Chambers, 23, of first-degree murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping, and concealment of a homicide.

Suspect named in 14-year-old murder case  Fourteen-years ago, 16-year-old Kari Nunemaker disappeared and was later found dead. Prosecutor Hill announced what many who knew and loved her have waited 14-years to hear. "This case is solved," he said. The suspect is 53-year-old Fred S. Mott. Mott, who was a convicted rapist out on parole at the time of Kari’s disappearance in January 1991, had previously been considered a suspect. Police say Mott left town the day after Kari was reported missing. It took eight days until Kari's body was found. She'd been strangled. - (Brewski) |

Marshals Capture Convicted Rapist In Atlanta - Jordan Was Found In Hotel Bathroom  COLUMBUS, Ohio -- U.S. Marshals officers arrested a Central Ohio sexual assault suspect in an Atlanta hotel. Quan Randolph Jordan, 40, is a convicted burglar, robber and rapist. Deputies said they had to break open the door and that Jordan reportedly ran to the bathroom to hide. Ref. Police said that Jordan, 40, was linked to one sexual assault. Then police said he attacked two women early Saturday in northeast Columbus. Teenager Sentenced To Four Years In Sex Assault Of 13-Year-Olds One of two charged with sexually assaulting two 13-year-old girls last year in a bathroom at The Shoppes was sentenced to four years in prison. Davon Curry, 17, was sentenced to 10 years in prison suspended after four years and 10 years of probation and lifetime registration as a sex offender. The case against Curry's co-defendant, Donovan Ricketts, 17, of Hartford, is pending. Manhunt Continues For Police Officer's Killer  Ohio -- A Chillicothe police officer was shot and killed Thursday night. A manhunt is under way for the person who shot Officer Larry Cox. Police said Cox was walking from his parents' house to his house when he heard about the chase and responded. The robber then drove his car into a nearby alley, where the shooting took place. Cox was found with a gunshot wound to his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The U.S. Marshal's Service and Chillicothe police said Diallo Bendi Hill, 31, is a person of interest in Cox's shooting death. - (aryan_barbarian) |

Video Shows Alleged Suspect In University of Central Florida Rape Case Police say a rapist may be on the loose at the University of Central Florida. Surveillance video and the public's help may be the only way they can catch him. Extra police are on patrol at the University of Central Florida after a student said she was kidnapped from a campus parking lot and raped over the weekend. UCF police say the young woman was walking to the Academic Village when she says she was snatched from behind, forced into her own car and taken to a location northeast of campus and raped.

Kenneth Kelley II, 19, held two women at knifepoint, then forced them to perform sexual acts. Prosecutors said the boy had hidden the rifle, told people he intended to kill and voiced worry about gangs coming after him. Alleged Rape Victim Tells Her Story To Help Others - Grain Valley Woman Says She Was Carjacked, Raped   A woman who was kidnapped at knifepoint and sexually assaulted by a convicted rapist last summer spoke out Friday about her horrific experience. Trish Whitehead was heading to her car after work when a stranger pulled up. "I just smiled (at the stranger) and tried to get into my car, and before I knew it, he was shoving me into my car with a knife to my side." ."I tried to get him just to take my purse, just take my car, then I actually felt a knife in my ribcage," Whitehead said. She was taken to three locations, where she said she was repeatedly sexually assaulted and threatened. "He told me over and over again while he had me that he could cut my throat, and repeatedly told me that he would kill me," Whitehead said. After several hours, her attacker drove her to an ATM to withdraw money and then let her go. Jerry L. Banks was charged in the attack. His trial is scheduled to start in September. |
Kidnapping and rape suspect has long record A two-day manhunt ended when police arrested a suspect and charged him with kidnapping, rape and auto theft. The search for Loy Alexander Wright, 39, began when a man reported his 37-year-old sister missing. The man said his sister left a frantic call for help on his voice mail. Authorities found the woman early the next morning. She told them that she had been kidnapped and that her attacker was still driving around her Dodge Caravan. Wright, who was charged following his arrest, has an extensive criminal history. Past charges include breaking and entering, assault, drug possession and statutory rape. Wright is also a registered sex offender. |
Man Sought In Rape Of 14-Year-Old New Orleans Police Department have issued an arrest warrant for a 34-year-old accused of raping a 14-year-old girl. Ronald Ferrand, of 7425 Pitt St., faces forcible rape in the March 29 attack. Crimestoppers, at (504) 822-1111, is offering up to $2,500 in cash for tips leading to Ferrand's arrest and indictment. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court. |

A man arrested Friday and suspected in the deaths of three elderly women whose bodies were found stuffed in their closets has an almost 30-year history of burglaries and beatings. Police arrested Gary Sinegal, 40, on Friday and charged him with violating his parole and burglary in the attack of a woman who fought back and gave police a denoscription of the suspect. He is the lead suspect in the deaths of 82-year-old 
Eddie Poindexter is charged with the rape, kidnapping and robbery of a 25-year-old female who was attacked in broad daylight Wednesday at her downtown Fayetteville home. -
