(Black) Man Wanted in Connection With Discovery (of Burned Body of White female) Three weeks after the gruesome discovery of a woman's burned and bound body near MBTA commuter rail tracks, authorities in Massachusetts have issued an arrest warrant for a Boston man. Forty-three-year-old Fernando Owens of Boston's Dorchester neighborhood is wanted in connection with the homicide of 29-year-old Ashley Bortner of New Jersey. Owens is considered armed and dangerous. Owens believed Bortner may have played a role in the recent death of his son, Domenic Owens. Bortner's body was discovered late Nov. 3 near commuter rail tracks in Bridgewater. Investigators say burns covered 70 percent of her body, and that she had been gagged by her own clothing; a towel wrapped her face and comforter wrapped her body; her hands and feet were bound behind her with an electrical cord wrapped around her neck. |

Monday, an (interracial) New Hampshire couple was charged with misleading investigators after telling police they were with Bortner earlier on Nov. 3, but then allegedly lied about where they were later that day. White Chicago Police Officer accused (by blacktivists) of improperly shooting black teen Officer Jason Van Dyke fired 16 rounds at Laquan McDonald in about 14 seconds and was reloading when another officer told him to hold his fire, prosecutors said. “Despite what you heard in that courtroom, this is not a murder case.” Meanwhile, Van Dyke’s wife, Tiffany, set up a GoFundMe page asking for online donations for her husband’s bond. Although the page did not mention her husband by name, it described him as a 15-year veteran officer "fighting for his freedom and justice." Police said McDonald, who had PCP in his system when he died, was behaving erratically and refusing police commands to drop a 4-inch folding knife. The police union has maintained the officer fired in fear of his life because the teen lunged at him and his partner with the knife. Van Dyke's lawyer also has said the officer feared for his life. - (Black-on-white) |

Black criminal is 'person of interest' in assassination attempt on White female Judge The investigation into the attempted killing of state District Judge Julie Kocurek took a significant turn Tuesday when a man authorities are holding as a person of interest was charged with murder in an unrelated shooting death in Houston. Austin police identified the man as 28-year-old Chimene Hamilton Onyeri, a Houston resident with a pending criminal matter in Kocurek’s court. Authorities in Travis County discovered that police in Calcasieu Parish, La., had charged Onyeri in June in a case related to stolen bank cards and filed a motion in Aug. 28 to revoke his probation in connection with a guilty plea in a 2012 fraud case. In it, Rollingwood police had discovered Onyeri in possession of more than a dozen gift cards that had been encoded with stolen bank card information, according to court documents. “We are not saying he’s the suspect; we’re not saying he’s the trigger man,” Acevedo said, “but he is a person of high interest." Onyeri beat a previous murder charge after he was accused of killing a man in Houston in 2008. Kocurek remains at University Medical Center Brackenridge after being severely injured in what Austin police investigators have said they believe was an assassination attempt. - (Black-on-white) |

(Black) Man awaiting trial since 2011 on charge of murder of elderly White woman sends bizarre letters to judge A man in jail on charges of murder and attempted murder sent more than a dozen bizarre letters to an El Paso County judge between the summer of 2012 and April of last year. The letters were recently released to The Gazette by the 4th Judicial District Court through an open records request. Marcus Smith, 25, is known for his frequent outbursts in court, which often get him booted from hearings. Smith has been awaiting trial since 2011 for the murder of 87-year-old Kathryn "Kit" Grazioli, and more recently was also accused of attempted murder of an El Paso County jail guard, sheriff's deputy Harry LeMonte. Since July 16, 2012, Smith has sent 13 letters to Judge Barbara Hughes. The letters are repetitive and accuse the court of calling him "black" when he is actually "brown." (Black) Texas man convicted in murder of (White man) five months after arrest MANSFIELD, La. - Five months from arrest to conviction – justice was swift for a Texas man who bludgeoned a Logansport man to death earlier this year in an attempt to evade authorities. For that, Jacorroyn Wilson, (aka Jacorryn Lavell Wilson), 24, will spend the rest of his life in prison. A DeSoto Parish jury last week convicted Wilson of second-degree murder in the May 2 death of Charles 'Chuck' Worthington, 58. Wilson will be sentenced Dec. 9 to the mandatory life sentence. Wilson was arrested hiding in an attic in Tyler, Texas, days after he was named a suspect in Worthington’s death. DeSoto sheriff’s investigators connected Wilson to the murder after Deputy Lester Daniel had a run-in with him. . Wilson resisted arrest and ran through a wooded area that took him to Worthington’s house on Bogle Road. He tried to steal one of Worthington’s vehicles, but because it had a steering problem Wilson drove it into a fence instead. When Worthington came out of his house to check on the noise, Wilson beat him with a short garden shovel. Worthington suffered a cracked skull and shattered windpipe. Wilson then stole another of Worthington’s vehicles, a pickup truck, and drove it to Tyler, where he abandoned it. - (Black-on-white) |

DNA leads to arrest (of black) in 1986 Marietta double rape, murder (of a White woman and her 13-year-old daughter) MARIETTA, Ga. -- Authorities in Cobb County say a man has been arrested in the 1986 double rape and murder of a Marietta woman and her 13-year-old daughter. Sharon Brady and her daughter Samantha Brady were found dead in their Marietta apartment on Sept. 12, 1986. Brady's 3-year-old daughter was also in the apartment but unharmed. The case went unsolved for nearly three decades after all leads were exhausted, investigators said. In 2013 samples were submitted to a private lab in Salt Lake City for advanced forensic DNA testing. That testing led to the arrest of 60-year-old man who lived in the same apartment complex as the Bradys in 1986, Ronald Lee Kyles. Police say he got into the apartment through a bedroom window and committed the crimes. He's charged with two counts of murder, two counts of rape, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of burglary in connection with the Brady murders. Former Marietta Police Detective Wayne Kennedy said Kyles was a suspect back in 1986 -- he was arrested two weeks later on a different charge -- but investigators didn't have evidence to make the case for murder. - (Black-on-white) |
