Black Neighbor charged with killing White Frederick woman held without bail  A man charged with murder in the death of a Frederick woman will remain behind bars after he waived his bail review hearing Wednesday in Frederick County District Court. Frederick County sheriff’s deputies arrested Antwine Dwayne Snowden, 51, after a brief standoff.. He is being held without bail at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Snowden faces first- and second-degree murder charges in the strangulation death of Gloria Carol Fitzpatrick, 61, whose body was found April 22 in her Rooks Court apartment. The two were neighbors. Snowden lived in an apartment below Fitzpatrick’s. Charging documents state that Fitzpatrick was found dead on her living room floor. Her wallet was missing, - (Black-on-white) |
White Officer Killed Serving Warrant In Catonsville Had On Bulletproof Vest; More Details Released About Black Suspect  CATONSVILLE, Md. — In the line of duty. A Baltimore County police officer shot and killed will be laid to rest on Saturday. The man who shot him is now dead, and more information is emerging about this suspect. The 36-year-old police officer had been with the tactical division for 10 years. And still, it only took one day and one bullet to end his life. A wreath remains at the sight of the Fallen Hero Memorial in Baltimore County just 24 hours after police officer Jason Schneider was shot and killed at a home on Roberts Avenue in Catonsville. It was 5:30 a.m. Wednesday when Schneider and his team entered the home. Inside, 25-year-old Tevon Smith, armed with a gun, started shooting. Why Smith began shooting remains to be answered. White woman, 67, brutally raped by black who barged into her home   HOUSTON -
A 67- year-old grandmother was brutally raped inside of her apartment. The rape victim in this case is described as a very sweet-hearted little lady who volunteers her time rescuing homeless cats. According to the grandmother, a black male wearing a navy blue do-rag and carrying a backpack knocked on her door, shoved her inside and attacked her, raping her multiple times. The victim said while the man was sexually assaulting her he kept telling her, "I like old white women, I've been watching you." Ever since the attack in May, the victim and her neighbor say women all over the apartment complex have been living in fear as well knowing the rapist could come back. However, the accused rapist, John Hayward Milstead is in the Harris County Jail facing charges of aggravated sexual assault of an elderly person. Family identifies (White) 'hero' shot to death at Denny's during robbery by black males   HOUSTON - Police are searching for the (three black)masked men who stormed a Denny's near Memorial Park, demanded money from customers and shot two people inside. It was a "take-over type fashion" robbery, Houston police said. Three men with masks covering their faces stormed into the Denny's on Washington near I-10 and started shooting. The suspects got away with cash from the registers. Witnesses said there were about 15 customers inside at the time and the gunmen stole from them as well. "They robbed a lot of people as they were shooting at the same time," said customer Luigi Major. "But from my understanding, they were after the purses, cell phones and at the same time they were pointing guns at the small kids." One customer and one employee were injured in the shooting. The two victims were rushed to the hospital for surgery. Police said the customer died from his injuries at Memorial Hermann Hospital. The victim's family identified him as Greig Placette, 64. "He saved my life. He is my hero," said Placette's friend, Jonathan Ochoa, who was also in the restaurant. - (Black-on-white) |

(White) Rape victim, 93, bravely speaks out after attack by (black) 17-year-old boy who kicked in back door of her home   A 17-year-old boy has been charged with rape following a sickening assault on a 93-year-old woman. Iquise Taylor of Anderson, Indiana, was charged as an adult on Monday after the July 16 attack on Amelia Rudolf at her home. Mrs Rudolph participated in a police news conference after Anderson was charged with rape, burglary, criminal confinement and strangulation. Police say the youth lived within in a block of the woman's house. Investigators say he broke into her home by kicking in the back door and then sexually assaulted her. The 93-year-old had been sleeping at the time and awoke to find the youth in her bedroom. Taylor was caught by a footprint left at the scene where he had been wearing socks but no shoes. A witness that night said they had seen the teenager without shoes on, according to police. The 17-year-old denied the attack but was matched through DNA samples. Clearwater Police announce arrest in Jason Paul's (Black on White) murder   CLEARWATER, Fla. - Clearwater Police announced the arrest of 16-year-old Mychal King on Thursday. He is accused in the January murder of Jason Taylor Paul, the city's first homicide of 2013. Police said King admitted to killing Paul for no reason other than he had a hard day with his family that night of January 6, and "just wanted to kill the first person he saw." Police say 22-year-old Jason Taylor Paul was stabbed multiple times while riding his bike home from work late. Jason's parents, John and Renee Langfritz had been distraught since the news of Paul's death, and desperate for closure, even offering a $10,000 reward for information. Renee described her son as an intelligent, loving, funny man. She said his sudden loss has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. "This coward, truly a coward, who would leave a young innocent man to die alone in the dark in the middle of the street, must be caught," she said at the time. King will be charged with 1st Degree Murder. Detectives say he has a long criminal history and was already in jail on other charges. - (Black-on-white) |
(White) Grandmother, 93, visiting former home, is pushed down flight of stairs and robbed by (black) thug   A robber attacked an elderly woman after pretending to help her take pictures of her childhood home when she returned with her daughter after 73 years. Marjorie Ramondetta, 93, and her daughter Linda Reynolds, 65, were allegedly shoved down a flight of stairs in the building by a thug when they came back to the house in Washington Heights in Manhattan, New York. The man then stole the women's purses as they lay bruised at the bottom of the stairs, law-enforcement sources said. Mrs Ramondetta hadn’t been back to the building since 1940 and Mrs Ramondetta was having her picture taken by Mrs Reynolds when the alleged thug — identified as career criminal Richard Davidson — greeted them. 'He said, "Can I help you?" He was clean-cut, clean clothes, clean-shaven. He looked decent,' Mrs Reynolds recalled. Police later said that Davidson had been arrested later that day. Police said he had a crack pipe in his pocket.
He allegedly made two other attacks during the same day - on a 70-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman who was riding the A train at Harlem.

DNA ties cop killer to a fifth cold case rape  CLEVELAND, OH - A convicted cop killer and serial rapist was supposed to go before a judge on Wednesday morning, but his court appearance was continued until September 12. Quisi Bryan is now charged with a fifth cold case rape. Bryan, 42, is already on death row for the murder of Cleveland police officer Wayne Leon in 2000. In January of 2007, Bryan pleaded guilty in connection with four sex assaults on women and in one case, posing as a cop. - (Black-on-white) |

Black Suspect arrested after White Nashville man beaten, robbed, kidnapped  NASHVILLE, TN - Metro police have arrested a man suspected of beating, robbing and kidnapping a man last weekend in east Nashville. Alex Parker, 68, will need surgery to repair broken bones in his face after the incident Saturday. Parker said he went to the home of a woman who had been cleaning his house for several weeks. He said he had met her at a homeless ministry program at his church. Parker said the woman invited him in while she found her shoes. He said at that point, he was jumped by three men. He believed one of them was her boyfriend. He said that after he was beaten and kicked, the suspects demanded money. "He starts saying, 'I want 500 bucks,' and I said, 'I don't have 500 bucks,'" Parker said. Parker said the men forced him into his own car and told him to drive to his ATM... (White) woman brutally beaten by group of teens in North Side says attack was ‘racially motivated’ - (Drudge link)  A woman who said she was brutally attacked by a group of black teenagers in Pittsburgh’s North Side Sunday said the girls savagely beat her while calling her racial slurs. Ginger Slepski said she suffered multiple injuries, including torn shoulder ligaments. She said she thought the girls were going to kill her. “I thought it was so animalistic. So violent. I’m so afraid for these girls to get out and walk the streets,” Slepski said. Police said Slepski was savagely beaten after the girls threw a bottle at her car on Concord Street and she stopped to confront them. “I was mad. I knew they were younger. I thought they were in their early 20s. I got out and said, ‘What is your problem?’” Slepski said. All four African-American girls then called her names before getting physically violent. “They yelled, ‘Shut up white [expletive].’ The other said, ‘Get that white [expletive],’” Slepski said. Police Arrest Man for Murder of White Man in Domino's Shooting and Robbery  Bowling Green Police charged 20-year-old John Paul Shobe for the killing of 51-year-old Harold Dean Johnson and the robbery of Domino's Pizza on Stonehenge Avenue. Police say they first ran into Shobe shortly after the murder and robbery while searching the surrounding area. A police report says after a brief foot pursuit, Shobe was arrested for Giving Officers a false name and Fleeing and Evading on Foot. After Shobe was taken into custody, police say they got enough information to obtain a search warrant. Police say at Shobe's residence they found evidence that led them to charging him for the killing and robbery. Shobe is still in the Warren County Regional Jail. - (Black-on-white) |

White Seatlle Metro driver shot on bus route by black feels 'quite lucky'  Sixty-four-year-old Deloy Dupuis said he thought he was going to die when a passenger who refused to pay a fare opened fire at him. "Just imagine trying to be restrained in a seat and somebody trying to shoot you in the head. It's terrifying after the first bullet, then the next bullet comes, then the next bullet comes after that," said Dupuis, who has been a driver for Metro since 1999. The passenger that shot at Dupuis on the Route 27 bus Monday morning was Martin A. Duckworth. "He started shooting and I started bobbing and weaving as much as I can with the seat belt on and I started screaming, 'No, no, no,'" said Dupuis. After Duckworth got off of the bus, Dupuis said he saw him walking toward University Street. "I was able to point to him as he was leaving. Allegedly unprovoked assault of 71-year-old New Haven man leads to multiple charges NEW HAVEN - Police arrested a 35-year-old New Haven man on gun charges among others after an allegedly unprovoked attack on a 71-year-old man. Jorge DelaPaz was arrested on charges of assault in the third degree of an elderly person, carrying a dangerous weapon, carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal posession of a pistol and interfering with police. Police say on Sunday, the elder New Haven man was eating a hamburger in the Goffe Street Park when he was approached by DelaPaz. Police say DelaPaz told the elder white male that he shouldn’t be “in his park where young black kids are playing.” When the man refused an order from DelaPaz to pick up a football, DelaPaz punched the man multiple times in the face, knocking him to the ground, police say. A 21-year-old woman who was shot twice in the head and once in the abdomen by her ex-boyfriend has revealed her inspiring recovery as she learns to walk and talk again. She remains in Bayfront Medical Center, where she undergoes daily physical therapy and has now walked her first steps for the first time since the shooting. |
(Black) Suspected serial burglar, 20, arrested for killing (White) 99-year-old widow in her home   A 20-year-old City of Poughkeepsie man charged late Friday night with murder and burglary in the death of a 99-year-old city woman is being held without bail. Police charged Javon Tyrek Rogers, 20, of the City of Poughkeepsie, with first-degree murder and first-degree burglary around 11 p.m. in connection with the homicide of Fannie Gumbinger, 99. Rogers is also a suspect in multiple recent city burglaries, including a Loockerman Avenue burglary on Wednesday. - (Black-on-white) |

Report: 72-year-old Step-Grandfather of Black Footballer Kills Three In Murder-Suicide Hubert Allen, Jr. killed two people, and injured two more before killing himself during a shooting spree Saturday in Lake Butler, Fla. Allen Jr. is the step grandfather of Bills running back C.J. Spiller according to ABC News. Allen allegedly walked into a trucking company that he used to work for and shot a man. Allen then searched for and found the owner and murdered him. A farmhand was killed, and another person was seriously injured. Afterwards, Hubert Allen Jr. went back to his home and shot himself. UPDATE: Third victim (White) in Lake Butler shooting by black dies LAKE BUTLER, Fla. -- The Union County sheriff confirms, 44-year-old David Griffis, the fourth person hit in a shooting rampage over the weekend - has died of his injuries. Griffis was shot Saturday in a shooting spree in the small city of Lake Butler. The sheriff reports Griffis was taken off life support Monday night. Sheriff Jerry Whitehead said Griffis wasn't given more than 10-percent chance to live. His condition didn't improve since he had been admitted to a Gainesville hospital in critical condition. The Sheriff called Griffis a "fighter." The shooting began Saturday morning. Deputies report Hubert Allen, Jr. shot four people who worked for Pritchett Trucking -- before taking his own life. Allen was also a long time employee until about two weeks before the shooting. In addition to Griffis, Marvin Pritchett, owner of the company, and Rolando Gonzalez-Delgado, a farmhand, also died. Black ex-con on 'bath salts-fueled rampage assaults five people, kicks a dog and pushes over a man in a wheel chair'   in 90 minutes of random violence. An ex-con out on parole tore a path of mayhem and random violence across on Idaho city during a 90-minute bath-salts fueled rampage in which he assaulted five people, police revealed today. Sean Daniel Carnell, 23, alleged crimes include brutally attacking a construction worker with his own shovel, kicking a little boy's dog, pummeling a skateboarder, choking a woman and burning down her apartment and kidnapping a man in a wheelchair then tipping him over and leaving him in the street. Carnell allegedly began his mindless campaign of violence at 9.30am Wednesday in Meridian, Idaho, when he attacked a 15-year-old skate boarder at a skate park. He punched the teen in the face several times, took his skateboard and then walked away, police say. the next target was fire department Captain Chris Cade, who happened to be riding his bike through a nearby park. Carnell allegedly knocked Case off his bike and beat him unconscious. From there, Carnell confronted a 10-year-old boy who was outside playing with his dog. He screamed at the boy, then kicked the dog in the ribs repeatedly, police say. As Carnell rambled across the city, he came across a construction worker digging a ditch outside an apartment complex. Carnell allegedly picked up the man's shovel and attacked him from behind, bashing him several times in the head with the edge of the weapon. Second teen arrested in beating death of WWII vet Delbert Belton   A second teenager was arrested Monday in the beating death of an 88-year-old World War II veteran in Spokane, Wash., and the people who helped him hide out were also busted. Kenan Adams-Kinard, 16, was charged with first-degree murder for the slaying of 88-year-old Delbert Belton, a crime that horrified people across the country. Another 16-year-old, Demetruis Glenn (left), was arrested last week and charged as an adult.
Glenn turned himself in, but Adams-Kinard remained in hiding for four days until "dozens of tips" led cops to his hideout, Spokane police said. "Several other people with him have been arrested for rendering criminal assistance," police said in a statement. - (Black-on-white) |
Black Maintenance Worker Charged With Killing White Property Manager  REISTERSTOWN, Md. — It was a crime that rocked a small Reisterstown townhome complex. The leasing manager was brutally murdered inside her office complex back in June. Now police have a suspect in custody—the maintenance man at that same complex. Twenty-seven-year-old Rashaan Williams was taken into custody Tuesday night—more than two months after the murder. Williams is the man police say is behind the brutal killing of 29-year-old Melinda Maltese Schaefer at the Townes of Harvest View. Her family is still in shock. “She cared about everybody. Black former Baltimore police officer indicted on charges of running prostitution service - pimping his white slave wife A former Baltimore police officer already facing state charges for prostituting his wife was indicted on a federal prostitution charge that alleged he oversaw a call-girl business with more than 300 customers. In an indictment unsealed Friday, Lamin Manneh, 31, was charged with traveling across state lines and using the telephone and Internet to operate a prostitution business. He was arrested in May after officers from a human-trafficking task force found him outside a hotel room where his 19-year-old wife had agreed to have sex for cash with an undercover state police officer. Baltimore police fired him shortly after his arrest. Manneh's wife (Marissa Braun) had entered into a "contract of slavery" with Manneh who she referred to as her "master." Between February and May 9, prosecutors say, Manneh ran a call-girl business where his wife and another 19-year-old woman worked as prostitutes. Black suspect arrested in 1999 Cedar Rapids murder of White woman  Monday was a bittersweet day for Kristin Twilla. On one hand, Twilla, 29, of West Liberty, learned that an arrest was made in the 1999 murder of her mother, Judith Weeks. On the other hand, Twilla was faced once again with the memories of that 14-year-old crime. “It brings back the memories of what happened,” Twilla said Monday. “Even though we have a killer now and he’s going to be prosecuted, it still doesn’t bring my mom back.” The Cedar Rapids Police Department announced Monday that 34-year-old Deshaun L. Phillips had been arrested for Weeks’ murder. He faces one count of first-degree murder, a class A felony. According to a 1999 Gazette article, Weeks’ body was found, half-nude, by a passerby behind a three-unit apartment building at 1319 Second Ave. SE. 2 black teens charged with murdering White Australian baseball player just because they were 'bored'    Christopher Lane, 22, of Melbourne, Australia, was found dead Friday while visiting the town of Duncan, where his girlfriend lives. Two Oklahoma teens were charged with his murder, while a third was named an accessory DUNCAN, Okla. — Prosecutors filed charges against three teenagers Tuesday after police said the boys randomly targeted an Australian baseball player as he jogged and shot him in the back, killing him, to avoid the boredom of an Oklahoma summer day. Christopher Lane, 22, of Melbourne, died Friday along a tree-lined road on Duncan's well-to-do north side. Two teenagers, 15- and 16-year-olds from the gritty part of the town, were charged with first-degree murder and ordered held without bond. A third, age 17, was accused of being an accessory after the fact and with driving a vehicle while a weapon was discharged. He said in open court "I pulled the trigger," but the judge directed him to remain quiet and said Tuesday was not the day to discuss the facts of the case.  James Johnson, 52, called the police to tell them that the accused killers were hiding in the car park of the Immauel Baptist Church car park at about 5pm, two hours after they allegedly shot Lane. "My son called me and said, "They're saying they're coming to kill me," so I called the police and they got here within about three minutes," Johnson told the Herald Sun. Mr Johnson claimed that Edwards Jr had threatened the life of his own 17-year-old son Christopher on Facebook. His son was at home with his mother and sisters near the church when he received the death threat. "They threatened to kill my son because they are in a gang, the Crips, and were trying to get my son in it and I wouldn't let him do it. "I told him he couldn't run with those boys. He's a little terrified." Mr Johnson said the Crips, a predominantly African American street gang that began in Los Angeles in 1969 and had been in Duncan for the past few years. He said the group consisted of teenagers who he called "wannabes." "I've been living here all my life and we never had this, but in the past few years gangs from Lawton have been coming here," Johnson said of the Crips. Johnson's son also attends Duncan High School, where suspect Luna and Edwards Jr. were students. He said he knew both boys, and described them as "troublemakers" and "bullies" who had "no parental supervision." |

Black nurse indicted after 'negligent' death of 3-year-old White girl  MEMPHIS, TN - - A nurse is facing charges in connection with the death of a 3-year-old girl who was in her care almost one year ago. Demequa Bonds, 34, of Cordova, was indicted by a grand jury on one count of reckless homicide. In February, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating Bonds after the death of 3-year-old Kayla Andrews, who suffered from a medical condition that required 24 hour nursing care. Kayla died in her Bartlett home after a "negligent incident caused by Bonds". The death happened one year ago, on August 27, 2012. Kayla was born with Moebius Syndrome. She relied on a ventilator and 24-hour medical care. Bonds was hired to be her in-home nurse. - (Black-on-white) |
White 'good Samaritan' couple repaid by black 'family friend' ex-felon who raped and attempted to murder wife  COLUMBUS -- A Linden-area woman was able to survive a brutal rape and assault by playing dead while her attacker attempted to smother her with a pillow, according to police. Leanna Whitlock suffered 14 stab wounds, as well as facial fractures, after being raped inside her Aberdeen Ave. home on August 14. Police apprehended the alleged attacker, David Hudson, at his mother's Robert St. home less than an hour after officers found Whitlock injured on her front porch while responding to a 911 call. Whitlock told police Hudson walked into her home and forced her to perform oral sex on him while he threatened her with a knife. "When he came in, he told me he killed my husband, and my husband was already dead," Whitlock said. "He asked me if I wanted to be dead with him." Whitlock claims Hudson then ordered him to an upstairs bedroom, where he once again forced her to perform oral sex, then stabbed and cut her on the head, neck, and torso. Raleigh black pleads not guilty in slaying of his white ex-girlfriend, mother of his two children   Raleigh, N.C. — Defense attorneys for a Raleigh man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend have asked a Wake County judge to allow testimony in his upcoming trial about an alleged "confession" his wife made in which she said she shoved the victim and "hurt her bad." Grant Ruffin Hayes, 34, faces a first-degree murder charge in the July 2011 death of Laura Jean Ackerson, 27, whose dismembered body was found in a creek in Richmond, Texas – about 60 miles south of Houston. Hayes was arraigned Friday afternoon and pleaded not guilty to the crime. Jury selection in his trial is expected to begin Aug. 26. Hayes’ wife, Amanda Perry Hayes, 41, also faces a murder charge in the case. One of several pre-trial motions before Superior Court Judge Donald Stephens on Friday centered on a statement she made to her sister, who, at the time of the crime, lived about 100 yards from where Ackerson's remains were found. - (Black-on-white) |

3rd and 4th black suspects charged in Aug. 6 Jacksonville homicide of White man   Four people charged in the Aug. 6 shooting death of a Jacksonville man outside an apartment were on a random hunt for a victim to rob, police said Thursday. The third and fourth arrests in the case — Eltonia Lavonne Humphries and Josh Dukes, both 18 — were made Wednesday. They were charged with murder and attempted armed robbery. Roteia Lashay Hutchinson, also 18, and Jarquavis De’Vonte Davis, 19, were charged with murder earlier this week in the death of Wesley Phelps Bridges, 36, who was shot and killed at the Park View Place Estates at 6226 Barnes Road. Davis was charged with attempted armed robbery. Bridges was with a woman waiting for a ride about 12:45 a.m. when they were approached by three men who started a conversation and then one stepped forward with a rifle. - (Black-on-white) |

| Man Ordered to Apologize for 'What White People Did to Black People' at Gunpoint Seattle -- One man was left trembling after another pulled a loaded firearm on him and reportedly demanded that he apologize to black people for all the wrongs white people have done to them. Police arrested the suspect, finding the firearm and ammunition. Chikwanha E. Nyashanu, 35-years old, is being held on $100,000 bail with prosecutors seeking to increase the amount to $500,000, "King County District Court Judge Arthur R. Chapman called his actions 'inexplicable' and deemed him a danger to the community," she wrote. The incident reportedly occurred after 9 PM. After the alleged victim called police, the suspected perpetrator was soon arrested--after being tased. A day later, cops were on the hunt for a suspect. “He squeeze a me so I lost my mind,” Nichola Capozzoli said in a thick Italian accent. Capozzoli, 83 said that he was trying to find a store on Westside Avenue in Jersey City when a man approached him and offered to help. The suspect led Capozzoli down a driveway to the back of a church where he attacked him, robbed him, and took off. “He no say nothing. Just choking me and put his hand in my pocket,” Capozzoli said. The suspect was described as a black male in his twenties, 6-foot, with short corn rolls and wearing a grey sweater with white and yellow stripes, and dark pants. Black Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty To Murdering White Fayetteville Teen  LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A man charged in the murder of an Arkansas teen has pleaded not guilty. Darrell Dennis, 46, is charged with capital murder in the death of 18-year-old Forrest Abrams. Abrams was found dead in the street May 10. Police said Abrams had been refueling his car with a friend when three people demanded a ride at gun point. Officers responded to a report of a carjacking nearby. Abrams friend, Tyler Hodges, 22, told police that he and Abrams had been approached by three black men at a gas station at 12th and Woodrow. The men demanded a ride at gunpoint. Hodges told police that they drove to a house at 4th and Woodrow where they got out of the vehicle and stayed for a while. But a short time later, the three suspects left with Abrams. Home invasion by three blacks - shoot White man dead - Two arrested, one sought    Two men are behind bars, and a third remains at large in connection with the Thursday night shooting death of a young father, police said. Treyvance Fanguy, 18, 313 Hellier St., and Kevone Cook, 21, 121 Riley Drive, surrendered to police Saturday and were each booked on charges of second-degree murder and armed robbery, Houma Police Lt. Dana Coleman. The two, along with LaMont James Nixon, 21, 189 Porche Lane, burst into a Louise Street home late Thursday and gunned down 20-year-old Vernon Naquin Jr., police said. Nixon also faces charges of second-degree murder and armed robbery. Naquin lived at the home, off Grand Caillou Road, with his girlfriend and their 18-month-old son, family and others said. The three suspects, wearing masks and brandishing guns, allegedly demanded money from Naquin and threatened his son before shooting him, police have said. Black teen gets 30 years for stabbing White NYS Trooper   ALBANY -- Thirty years in state prison. That was the sentenced handed down to the 18-year-old Albany man who stabbed a New York State Trooper back in March. Eric Green pleaded guilty to felony attempted murder and felony robbery back in July and learned his sentence today. On March 3, 2013, Green walked up to on-duty Trooper Rodney Smith at the Empire State Plaza near Madison Avenue and Eagle Street. He told Trooper Smith that he was homeless and needed help. Sometime during the interaction, Green suddenly began attacking Smith and stabbed him multiple times in the neck with a knife. Green then stole his police radio and took off. - (Black-on-white) |

Opening statements in kidnapping, murder trial of black woman accused of kidnap and murder of 12-year-old White boy  HOUSTON -- A woman accused of kidnapping and killing a boy on Christmas Eve 2010 goes on trial today. Mona Yvette Nelson's attorney hoped the judge would throw out the statements her client made to detectives before she was actually charged with a crime. But yesterday, the judge ruled nearly all those statements would stand. Nelson is charged with the murder of 12-year-old Jonathan Foster, whose body was found in a ditch a few days after Christmas in 2010. The body was burned beyond recognition. | Prosecutors: DNA Links Officer Killer to Fifth RapeCLEVELAND– A man sitting on death row for the murder of a Cleveland police officer was indicted after DNA linked him to a fifth rape, prosecutors said. Quisi Bryan, 42, shot Cleveland police officer Wayne Leon to death in 2000 on Cleveland’s west side. Bryan has been convicted of four other cold-case rapes since he’s been in prison, after he was linked to them through DNA. Now DNA evidence just linked Bryan to the unsolved 1994 rape of a then 49-year-old woman, said Rick Bell, director for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Cold Case Unit. “She was wondering what had happened to the case, and is glad we are going forward with the prosecution,” Bell said. According to the 1994 police report, the woman was walking on East 93rd Street when she was attacked by a man who had a knife. White man assaulted, robbed in broad daylight by three black males - home invasion INDIANAPOLIS - Police are searching for three men who assaulted and robbed a man in broad daylight on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Police say they are looking for three black men in their late teens to early 20s in connection with this incident. The man who was attacked says he saw the three attackers walk the block before, but he thought maybe they were neighbors. Andrew Westermann and his family just moved into their home about a month ago. “It was a blur, I was in survival mode,” said Westermann. It happened when three young men surrounded Westermann while he was standing in his own garage around 7 p.m. Tuesday. “He tried to go into his pocket like this and that's when I turned and I saw the other gentleman tried to grab my phone. I yelled I screamed, nobody heard me. They shut the garage door and that's when they drug me in the house,” said Westermann. Andrew says the next 30 minutes were the longest of his life. He says one man stayed with him, while the others stole three TVs, his son's X-box and headphones, and his car. “I was laying down on the floor and I was saying a prayer to God to keep me safe, and He answered my prayer. He spared me. God is a gracious God,” said Westermann. Andrew is relieved that this happened while his wife and son were out of the house. He says after two of the robbers left, the last one stayed about 10 more minutes. “He had the nerve to ask me if I had any Gatorade in the house. He sat there, he smoked a cigarette in my house,” said Westermann. And then one final instruction from the last man left in his house. “Don't move or I'll bleeping kill you,” said the robber. Andrew says he waited a few minutes, and then went to a neighbor's house, and that neighbor called 911. 16-year-old Negro gets 8 years for his part in brutal Five Points black pack attack on White man  COLUMBIA, SC - Another person responsible for the beating of Carter Strange had his day in court Monday. 16-year-old Delarrett Canzater was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He will serve at least 85 percent of the sentence and get credit for time served. Prosecutors said he admitted to kicking Carter twice when he was on the ground. He faced up to 20 years in prison. "Carter is not the same. He's still fighting. There must be accountability," said Carter's mother Vicki Strange in court. Strange, who was 18 at the time, was beaten and left for dead as he was jogging through a parking lot just after midnight on June 23, 2011. Police said Thyeem Henrey and the seven juveniles were roaming Five Points that night, targeting others until they came across Strange. Police: Black pair flees to Indianapolis after elderly White 74-year-old cancer patient's death  INDIANAPOLIS - Police were questioning the involvement an Indianapolis firefighter might have had after two people fled to Indianapolis following an elderly Illinois man's death. Oakley Mitchell, a 74-year-old cancer patient, was killed last week in Illinois. Human remains, presumed to be his, were found in the Mackinaw River and at his home in rural Secor, Ill. Police said 23-year-old Rayshawn Johnson, of Bloomington, Ill., is facing a charge of murder. Authorities said he shot Mitchell multiple times and then set his body on fire to cover up the crime. Investigators said Johnson then wrapped the body in a rug and drove to a river eight miles from Mitchell’s home and tossed his body off a bridge. Police also arrested Johnson's girlfriend, 24-year-old Vishawn Mills. Police said Mills was Mitchell’s caregiver. White Man Fighting for Life After Brutal Beating in St. Paul by Pack of 50-some Blacks  Last Sunday St. Paul Police say, around 11:30 p.m., they got a tip about a large fight. White Man beaten to death at homeless shelter by black in dispute over 75 cents   A man has died after being viciously beaten and stomped on at a homeless shelter for refusing to hand over 75 cents to his attacker. Joseph Meyers, 53, was taken to hospital on Saturday following the attack at the Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission in Toledo, Ohio. Meyers, who struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for most of his life, was pronounced dead on Wednesday evening. Black man charged in fatal shooting of (White) tow truck driver  LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. - A 31-year-old man killed a tow truck driver, then shot at a Broward Sheriff's Office deputy who arrived at a Lauderdale Lakes apartment complex to investigate, police said Wednesday. Police charged Triston Johnson with murder and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer. A deputy shot Johnson, who was hospitalized at Broward General Medical Center after the shooting. He was released Wednesday. The tow truck driver, David Herr, 36, was getting ready to haul away Johnson's car, BSO said. Johnson shot Herr twice. Fire rescue pronounced him dead when they arrived.
