Oxford PD arrest (black) man in (White) 2-year-old's death OXFORD, AL - Oxford Police confirm that they have arrested a man in the death of a 2-year-old boy last week. Bryan Butts, 24, of Oxford was arrested on a capital murder warrant in the death of Cody Allen Rollins. Chief Bill Partridge confirms that Rollins died from blunt force trauma. Butts and the child's mother were dating, according to Butts' family. Butts will appear in Talladega County court for his arraignment. EMTs were called to Rollins' home Friday, May 3 where they found the child unresponsive. Rollins was taken to Anniston Regional Medical Center where he later passed away. - (Black-on-white) |

Harry Robinson, 64, a $105,000-a-year highway repairman for the Department of Transportation, drove the city-owned, 10-wheel Mack dump truck that ran over and crushed Roxana Sorina Buta, 21 — then kept going. Despite heavy press coverage, Robinson did not turn himself in. Cops tracked him down eight days later after a bank security video captured the truck on tape. (Black) Suspect Arrested in Downtown Attack (on White Couple) One suspect in last week's brutal beating of a couple at the Riverwalk in downtown Augusta is behind bars this morning. 21-year-old Robbey Eugene Moses was arrested in Newberry, South Carolina. He is charged with two counts of robbery by force and aggravated assault. He was also wanted in connection to a separate incident that happened last Thursday on Broad Street. Police investigating 2 possible attempted rapes A Chattanooga woman is still shaken up about what she says happened in her home Sunday night. Chattanooga Police confirmed they are investigating complaints where a man "unlawfully entered" two separate homes in North Chattanooga on Sunday night. Elizabeth Southall says she is one of the victims and believes the man planned to rape her. Police say both female victims screamed from their homes which caused the suspect to run away and that no sexual assaults occurred. Professed cannibal threatened to eat Ky police officer Police say a central Kentucky man claimed to be a cannibal and threatened to eat a police officer while being arrested. 25-year-old Brandon Hocker made the statement last week while being picked up on charges that he stabbed his girlfriend in Winchester. Hocker is scheduled for arraignment Monday on charges of second-degree assault and terroristic threatening. Police say Hocker stabbed his girlfriend multiple times, then left her apartment Tuesday night. Officers found him Wednesday morning. During the arrest, police say, Hocker looked at Officer Christine Matthews and said "that he was a cannibal and that he was going to put her on a plate and eat her." |

White victims say they were beaten and robbed by blacks in 'hate crime' Ga. — Police say an attack that left three men battered was racially motivated. John Willis appears before a judge to face charges of aggravated assault and armed robbery, but detectives said the reason for the attack was not the money in the victims’ wallets. The men were walking last month when they were attacked. “I think they were very lucky that one or more of them did not end up getting killed,” Sgt. John Sweat of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said. “They instantly saw three white guys and started yelling,” the victim said. He said he and two friends had just cut through a woodline and were walking when they heard insults from a nearby duplex. “They were yelling that this was their street, ‘This is our street, crackers. What do you have in your pockets, crackers? This is our street,’” the victim said. The victim said the group just kept on walking until they got to the end of the street and they were attacked. A fugitive taskforce arrested Willis, 32, at the duplex. Investigators said they found a shotgun and evidence linking Willis to the crime when they arrested him. Nashville man convicted in 1979 cold case murder NASHVILLE, TN - A jury has convicted the man accused of killing an elderly woman in her home in 1979. Freddie Lee Johnson, 61, was indicted in February 2012 on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Ethel Hethcote. The conviction of felony murder carries a sentence of life in prison. Hethcote, 72, was found dead by her daughter inside her home in 1979. Johnson had been working in the victim's home installing insulation prior to her murder. Johnson is a registered sex offender after a 1979 rape conviction in Mississippi, and police said he has been charged more than 50 times in Nashville on crimes including robbery, theft, burglary, criminal trespassing, unlawful weapon possession and motor vehicle burglary. - (Black-on-white) |
Execution date set for rapist, murderer of his white girlfriend's mother An execution date has been set for an Oklahoma death row inmate convicted of raping and murdering his girlfriend’s mother. The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals set an execution date of June 25 for Oklahoma State Penitentiary death row inmate Brian Darrell Davis. The 38-year-old death row inmate was convicted of the Nov. 4, 2001, rape and murder of 52-year-old Josephine “Jody” Sanford, the mother of his girlfriend Stacey Sanford with which they had a 3-year-old daughter. Davis did admit to having sex with and stabbing Jody Sanford. Jody Sanford had been beaten and stabbed six times and DNA evidence showed Davis had raped her. - (Black-on-white) |

"Joanne Chesimard is a domestic terrorist who murdered a law enforcement officer execution-style," said Aaron Ford, special agent in charge of the FBI's Newark Division. Chesimard, a fugitive living in Cuba under the name Assata Shakur, was a member of the Black Liberation Army in 1973 when she shot and killed Trooper Werner Foerster during a traffic stop. According to a state police account, "Foerster was severely wounded in his right arm and abdomen and then executed with his own service weapon on the roadside. New trial ordered in '08 Lindenwold slaying of white mother of black boyfriend's baby A Lindenwold man convicted of murder after he admitted to killing his ex-girlfriend and leaving their young son alone with the body must receive a new trial, an appellate court ruled Friday. Troy Whye, 42, has been serving a life sentence for the slaying of 22-year-old Krystal Skinner in March 2008. Skinner, a Rutgers-Camden student, suffered 30 stab wounds in the attack at her Lindenwold apartment. Wanted murder suspect Morris Hires found hiding in a child's crib St. Petersburg, Florida -- Police have finally caught the man wanted in connection with a drug deal gone bad that resulted in a woman -- caught in the crossfire -- being dropped off at the hospital where she later died. Detectives have been looking for Morris Hires since March 18 when they identified him as a suspect in the shooting that led to Felicia Vickers' death. During his arrest attempt by St. Pete Police and U.S. Marshals, Hires was found hiding in a child's crib inside his home in the 500 block of 26th Avenue South. While resisting arrest, Hires suffered a K-9 dog bite. Beaumont courthouse shooting suspect goes on trial GALVESTON, Texas - The capital murder trial of a Houston man accused of killing a 79-year-old woman during a shooting spree outside a Southeast Texas courthouse is getting fully underway. Bartholomew Granger faces life in prison without parole or the death penalty if he's convicted in the March 2012 slaying of Minnie Ray Sebolt outside the Jefferson County Courthouse in Beaumont. The trial was moved to Galveston so jurors wouldn't have to pass the crime scene each day. Three others were wounded in the rampage. Murder charges filed in dog breeder's slaying * Death of longtime Afghan Hound breeder, Peter Belmont KANSAS CITY, Kan. —Prosecutors have filed first-degree murder charges in the death of a prominent Kansas City dog breeder. The Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office said Darrell Broxton was charged in connection with the slaying of Peter Belmont. Belmont, 69, was found beaten to death in the bedroom of his home in December. He was well known on the international dog show circuit as a breeder of Afghan hounds. He had also been a longtime employee of the Wyandotte County Public Schools. - (Black-on-white) |
Man says he was attacked in Okolona park because he is white LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating an alleged attack at a park in Okolona. The man who says he was assaulted by a group of teens says he was targeted because of his race. “I was attacked because I am white,” Joseph Roundtree said. He says his walk on Friday evening was anything but safe. “I was walking through the park. I had just gotten out of my car I was walking through the park. They come over there and attack me they were playing basketball it was in broad daylight. It was 5 p.m.,” Roundtree said. “They started hitting me, they threw some kind of a log at me. They grabbed me and they knocked me unconscious. They got me on the ground. They were beating me," Roundtree said. Man arrested in connection with fatal shooting of woman who was left to die SC - Lexington County Sheriff's Department detectives arrested a 20-year-old Columbia man whom detectives determined accompanied a 24-year-old Columbia man who remains wanted for shooting a West Columbia woman and leaving her to die on April 10. Detectives arrested 20-year-old Tevin Xavier Deloach on an arrest warrant on a charge of murder. An arrest warrant alleges that Deloach accompanied John Christopher Hart when Hart acted with malice aforethought in shooting 43-year-old Paula Denise Justice. Detectives determined that Justice had arranged to meet with Hart, who was an acquaintance on April 10. Deloach drove Hart in a 1993 Lincoln Town Car to pick up Justice, drove Hart and Justice to Lumberjack Drive and later drove Hart to a location where Hart and Deloach parked and abandoned the Lincoln Town Car. - (Black-on-white) |

Police Hunt 2 (Black) Teens Wanted For Beating 86-Year-Old (White Woman) For Her Purse San Bernardino Police are on the hunt for two teens they say viciously attacked an 86-year-old for her purse. Officials said the purse snatching occurred on Saturday about 3:45 p.m. in the Rite Aid parking lot on Kendall Drive. Josephine Nash spoke about her ordeal. “I was stunned,” said Nash. She was hit from behind and knocked out cold. The two teens — believed to be black males about 15-17 — struck Nash on the head with an unknown object. 90-Year-Old White Woman Robbed, Beaten In Spencer Home Invasion by Black Male Oklahoma - Spencer Police are looking for a man who robbed and beat a 90-year-old woman in her own home. She had to go to the hospital Monday night after the man robbed her, knocked her down, and broke her collarbone. Anyone would be shaken up after all of that, but this is the fourth time her house has been hit. Now she's moving out of the home she's lived in for more than 60 years. "[I was] just scared to death and wondering what he was going to do next," Vivian Reeser said. Terrifying moments unfolded as a man forced his way inside Vivian Reeser's home. It happened Monday afternoon around 4 p.m. "I heard somebody at the back door, and when I pulled the curtains back, he was standing there, and it didn't take him anytime to break that door down," Reeser said. The man demanded her money and jewelry. She went to get her purse out of her bedroom, and he followed her. (Black) Man charged in death of his (White) girlfriend's (White) 10-yr-old son waives right to attorney, asks for sentencing KANNAPOLIS, NC - A man charged in the murder of his girlfriend's 10-year-old son made his first appearance in court. Eugene W. Mays, 39, was arrested Monday morning after investigators found the boy, later identified as Mark Ethan Alexander Stewart, and his 32-year-old mother, Christi Melisha Stewart, Sunday night during a welfare check at their home. The boy was deceased. His mother was injured in the incident, and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast for treatment. In court Tuesday, Mays waived his right to an attorney and requested to be sentenced immediately. The little boy is believed to be in the 5th grade, and attends Royal Oaks Elementary School. Homeless black begger sets man on fire inside his SUV after he refused to give him money A man was set on fire inside his SUV in Long Beach last night after reportedly refusing to give a beggar any money. Police say a homeless man set the 63-year-old California man on fire outside a 7-Eleven store by throwing a flammable substance inside the man's parked SUV. The unidentified victim is said to have walked past the panhandler as he requested money. As he got in the car, the man threw a flammable liquid into the vehicle and set it alight. Long Beach Sgt. Aaron Eaton says the man suffered severe burns in the Friday evening attack. Bystanders helped douse the flames and 38-year-old Raymond Sean Clark was arrested a block away. Two (black) suspects in murder of White college student are now in custody Both suspects in the April 10 shooting death of a Shelton State Community College student are now in custody. Timothy “Junior” Thornton, 23, turned himself in at the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office. Meanwhile, authorities in Savannah, Ga., have arrested the other suspect. Kiunte “Felon” Furr, 18, is being held in Georgia and will be extradited to Tuscaloosa. Investigators have warrants to charge both with capital murder. (Black) Teen Gets 32 Years For iPhone Murder of 68-year-old White woman at Chicago Transit Station A teen was sentenced to 32 years in prison Friday after admitting he pushed a woman to her death on a CTA staircase after stealing another commuter’s iPhone. Sally Katona-King, a 68-year-old church deacon, died from the injuries she suffered when Prince Watson shoved her at the Fullerton L stop on March 28, 2011. White woman died after dropped off at hospital, black man ID'd as shooter - Mar 18, 2013 St. Pete Police have identified the suspect wanted in the shooting of a woman who died after being dropped off at Bayfront Medical Center. Detectives say they are looking for 18-year-old Morris Vernell Hires III who also goes by the names Antonio Baker and Malcolm Myey. Police say a group of people drove over to Hires' home to buy drugs. Hires met the car out front and at one point, an argument broke out between him and someone in the car with Felicia Vickers. That's when Hires reportedly pulled out a gun and shot into the car hitting Vickers. Vickers was driven to the hospital and the others with her left before police arrived. She died later that afternoon. Hires is described as 5'7", 135 pounds and has a tattoo on his right forearm of the letters MOE surrounded in flames. One of Five Black Teens Accused In Home Invasion Killing of White Man Pleads Guilty A teenager accused of killing a Tulsa grandfather put his fate in a judge's hands. Montre Brown (second from left), 19, pleaded guilty without cutting a deal with prosecutors. He'll be sentenced on May 30. Brown was one of five arrested for a home invasion that left 66-year-old Bill Zachary dead on January 16, 2012. Police said Zachary was watching TV in his living room when teenagers in ski masks barged in and demanded money. Zachary gave them the money, but was still shot and killed. Four others, DeAndre Wright, who is a juvenile, Uriah Mitchell, Marquis Powell, and Darrelle Johnson, still face charges. - (Black-on-white) |
Police arrest black suspect in home-invasion rape murder of 76-year-old White woman Police Monday identified a man suspected in the 2012 death of a 76-year-old San Bernardino woman killed during a home-invasion robbery. San Bernardino resident Jerome Anthony Rogers, 55, was arrested Sunday afternoon for the murder of Mary Elizabeth Blaskey, officials said. Blaskey’s body was found inside her ransacked home in the 3000 block of Fremontia Drive on Nov. 14, 2012. Her body was discovered by her son, who alerted authorities. The victim’s 2001 Lexus had also been stolen, but was recovered about two weeks later, San Bernardino police said. Police linked Rogers to the crime through DNA found inside the victim’s home. Black 'boyfriend' murders his battered pregnant white partner A man wanted after the shooting of a pregnant Lima woman surrendered himself to police. The woman, Tara Cutlip, had twice accused 22-year-old Marquavius D. Shurelds of domestic violence. Cutlip never went forward with the cases, police said. Killing a pregnant woman can earn a death sentence. Shurelds had a small child with Cutlip, but whether he was the father of the unborn child is unknown. Cutlip was shot multiple times at her home. Police were called to the home after a person found her unresponsive. Shurelds has several outstanding warrants for his arrest. He has one out of common pleas court on a felony weapons charge and two at Lima Municipal Court for not showing at hearings in a driving under suspension case and a drug case, according to court records. Police identify black man, white woman found dead in murder/suicide Milwaukee police have identified the 41-year-old man and the 39-year-old woman found dead on Milwaukee’s south side. The 41-year-old man has been identified as Daniel Billings. The 39-year-old woman has been identified as Annemarie Bautch. Billings killed himself shortly after shooting Bautch. “As a family, we still love her. He’s a monster. He’s a coward. He took her life and shot himself,” Bautch’s brother, Mike said. Her brother also said that three years ago, Billings beat Bautch so badly the family tried to do an intervention, but Bautch did not want Billings to go to jail. “The violence and the beating she took put her in the hospital for a few days — a broken cheek, two black eyes, her nose pushed in — it was an ugly sight. She healed. She wore sunglasses. She went to work. She took the beating and moved on. We tried, but it didn’t work,” Mike Bautch said. Black boyfriend and two others conspire to beat his white girlfriend then burn her alive in racial hate crime The State Attorney’s Office may seek the death penalty against three people accused of beating a woman then burning her alive. Anthony Lamar Pressley, 26, Kiesha LeShay Pugh, 28, and Gregory Edward Williams, 21, were each charged with homicide and robbery for the March 31 death of Melinda McCormick inside her burning apartment of Mobile Highway. All three have confessed, investigators said. Deputies say an autopsy shows Melinda Sue McCormick was hit 40 times with a hammer, lead pipe and crow bar. She was still alive when her bed sheets were set on fire, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office. They were caught on video (see below) headed to and away from the area of the apartment. Williams reportedly told investigators that he hated white people, and that was a partial reason for the crime.The trio allegedly planned to steal Social Security money from McCormick. Interracial "Lover’s Spat" Turns Deadly on Martin Luther King Drive Corinth Police Department responded to Martin Luther King Drive in regards to a gunshot victim. Upon officers’ arrival, the victim was located in the front seat of her vehicle in the driveway of a vacant house. The suspect was standing beside the victim’s vehicle and was immediately taken into custody. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the face. The victim was identified as Karson Stewart, 22, W/F, of Corinth, MS. She was transported to Magnolia Regional Health Center where she was later pronounced dead. The suspect has been identified as Demarlen Obryan Davis, 25, B/M, of 1316 Dickey Street, Corinth. Anthony Pratt, 19, of Far Rockaway, Queens, N.Y., was taken into custody Tuesday in Queens after being questioned by Portland police detectives The chief declined to offer details about what events transpired to lead to the slaying, but said Pratt and Scott were dating at the time of the killing and said police have ascribed “domestic violence overtones” and “drug activity” to the incident. Black charged with brutal attack on white ex-girlfriend - White ex-marine came to rescue * Attacked woman shares story 43-year-old Kenneth Harris of Milwaukee has been charged with substantial battery for an incident in which he allegedly beat his 'ex-girlfriend' Kathy Sniecinski. Harris went over to the woman’s home, and the two left the home together — walking toward a bus stop. Harris then struck the woman to her face with a closed fist, causing her to fall to the ground. Harris then began to repeatedly strike the woman, causing a fractured left orbital bone and numerous bruises. According to police, the two men entered a house in the South Plaza neighborhood about 11 p.m. last Thursday.One was holding a gun and the other wore a red mask and carried a machete. Jury selection will begin Monday in the death penalty trial against Elijah James. James is charged for the presumed murder of his girlfriend, Danielle Brown. In the past deputies have described the pair's relationship as "on-again-off-again." Brown was last seen the evening of Friday, February 5, 2010 leaving her home with James. The following Monday, February 8, 2010, Brown's car was found at a city dump in Pavo, Georgia in Thomas County. Charlotte DJ, Brandon Blakeney, Gets 20 Years In Wife's Death A Charlotte disc jockey has been sentenced to at least 20 years in prison for the death of his wife more than a year ago. Brandon Blakeney entered an Alford plea in court in Charlotte on Thursday. An Alford plea does not admit guilty, but does acknowledge there is enough evidence for a conviction. Blakeney was sentenced to between 20 years and 25 years in prison. Prosecutors say he strangled 34-year-old Catherine Blakeney in 2011 and lived in their home with her body for several weeks. 12 charges filed against man in Tacoma day care sex attack * Day care rape victim speaks about terrifying attack A Pierce County prosecutor filed 12 charges Thursday against a man who is accused of beating and sexually assaulting a woman at a Tacoma day care. Police said Andrake Morris, 18, is accused of beating and sexually assaulting a woman at the Tender Heart Day Care on Monday morning. Morris was arrested later that evening and made his first court appearance on Tuesday. A police source said Morris was also being investigated in connection to other crimes, including sex crimes. “I didn’t want to come out, but the reality is you have to come out. White man shot and killed during a terrifying home invasion A man who was originally from the Jamestown area was shot and killed during a terrifying home invasion in Indianapolis early Friday morning. 67-year-old Thomas Tefft and his wife were in their home drinking coffee and heard a disturbance around 6:30 a.m. Friday. Tefft went to go see what was going on. "The wife of the victim grabbed her cell phone and ran into a back room. She described hearing a pop and a scream. She called police. When we arrived here on scene we found the victim deceased." Police are searching for the stolen car and the suspect who is described as a black man in his 20s. Man accused of killing 80-year-old Cocoa woman arrested The man accused of killing an 80-year-old Cocoa woman and seriously injuring a man who came to her aid Sunday turned himself in to authorities in Virginia on Tuesday. Marcus Antonio Royal, 33, will be charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and burglary with battery under a warrant issued by a Brevard County judge. Royal was released from the Brevard County Jail on Saturday at 10:15 a.m., less than 24 hours before police said he killed Faye Jones. Fired maintenance man found fit to stand trial in deadly apartment shooting A Shreveport man has been found competent to stand trial in the shooting death of a Bossier City apartment manager. 32-year-old April Fulghum of Greenwood was shot to death in the office of the Lexington Place Apartments in the 100 block of Barrington Drive in Bossier City back on October 10, 2012. Police say fired maintenance man Robert Earl Walter, 54, then fled the scene of the crime in a pickup truck. Suspect in Chattanooga police officer shooting nabbed in manhunt A 39-year old Chattanooga man was arrested this morning in connection with the shooting of a Chattanooga Police Department officer. Celvin “Squeaky” Houston is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon, Chief Bobby Dodd said this morning. Houston was arrested without incident. Area law enforcement agencies and local pastors assisted in the massive manhunt for Houston. Officer William McMillan, who has worked for the police department for six years, suffered a nonlife-threatening injury after he was shot while trying to break up a disorder around 2219 E. 26th Street Court. UK: (Black) Man, 22, suspected of stabbing schoolgirl to death on bus sectioned under Mental Health Act A man arrested on suspicion of stabbing a 16-year-old schoolgirl to death on a bus has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Christina Edkins was knifed as she travelled to school in Birmingham city centre shortly after 7.30am yesterday morning. Post mortem tests revealed the teenager died from a single stab wound to the chest. A 22-year-old man was arrested near to the scene and has been questioned on suspicion of murder.
