Negro indicted for attempted murder of off-duty female police officer stabbed 10 times  Ga. -- A Clarke County grand jury has indicted a man on an attempted murder charge and other felony counts in the stabbing of an off-duty police officer. According to the indictment, Steven Anthony Eberhart, 44, repeatedly stabbed Athens-Clarke County police Sgt. Courtney Gale and intended to murder her. Black boyfriend burns the skin off of his girlfriend's blonde baby boy   A 2-year-old child was severely burned and the child’s mother Christy Ely and her boyfriend were arrested and face charges in connection with the case, police said. Police said John Carter Jr., 33, placed the child is a scalding hot bathtub and they said they do not believe it was accidental because of the way the child was burned. Police said the boy is recovering from severe burns in a Pittsburgh hospital. “The lower leg, back of the legs, the little boys’ private area. It’s horrible. It’s just one of the worst things I’ve seen,” said Steubenville Police Chief Bill McCafferty. “Anybody who does this to a child. Black administrator of adult care facility arrested in death of vunerable White man  The license for the administrator of Southside Residential Care Facility was suspended after the he was arrested earlier this week. The South Carolina Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators voted to temporarily suspend the license after administrator Roy Bowers was arrested and charged with the neglect of a vulnerable adult resulting in death. Black Arrested in Beating of Elderly White Female Funeral Home Owner  Memphis police arrested a man accused of robbing and beating a woman who owns a funeral home in Downtown Memphis. Alex House is charged with robbery, burglary and attempted first degree murder. According to investigators, House is accused of breaking into the Qualls Funeral Home early Thursday morning, April 24, 2008. Police say House beat 87 year-old Cenetta Qualls. Black ex-con confesses to stabbing 92-year-old White woman to death  CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man with a long criminal history stands accused of murdering a 92-year-old woman in Charlotte. Gordon Franklin McMullen, 47, of Charlotte was back behind bars in the Mecklenburg County Jail Monday. He is accused of stabbing 92-year-old Mildred Clontz to death earlier this month. Police said he is not a stranger to crime and is a career criminal. He began committing crimes in 1980 at the age of 20, where he was charged with credit card theft. More criminal charges followed in 1982 for larceny and in 1983 for counterfeiting. Police said McMullen was busy in 1985, charged with speeding from police, larceny and more counterfeiting. In 1987, he graduated to armed robbery; he was convicted on three robbery charges and deemed a habitual felon. Last week, police charged McMullen with Clontz's murder. Black Suspect with African name strangled 75-year-old White woman to death  A nursing assistant arrested on suspicion of murdering a Federal Way grandmother and stuffing her body into her car trunk was ordered held on $1 million bail Saturday as more details of the killing were released. The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Joseph Njonge is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with the death of Jane Carol Britt, 75, police said. DNA leads to Arrest of Black for 1978 Rape, Murder of White Woman  County District Attorney John Morganelli announced an arrest today in the 1978 murder of 21-year-old Virginia Morrell. 50-year-old Robert White, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia is accused of raping and murdering the young woman inside her apartment on Ann Street in Easton. Investigators say advances in technology since 1978 allowed them to retrieve evidence from Morrell's nightgown and match it with a DNA sample taken from White. Morganelli says he was arrested within the last 48 hours. He is now in the custody of police in Roanoke and awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. Jamaica: Body of missing English nurse found in sewage pit - black lover suspected   The seven-day search for retired British nurse, Barbara Jayne Scott, ended yesterday - Good Friday - when her body was fished from a sewerage pit at her home in this St James district. It took the police, who were assisted by firefighters, more than seven hours to remove the corpse from the concrete-sealed pit, after receiving intelligence that she was dumped there. Alleged nigger murderer of co-ed Eve Carson arrested and charged in other campus slaying  A suspect in the slaying of a popular University of North Carolina student was charged Thursday with the killing of a graduate student at Duke University. A warrant charges 17-year-old Lawrence Alvin Lovette Jr. with first-degree murder in the death of Abhijit Mahato. Mahato, 29, originally of Tatangar, India, was a doctoral student in computational mechanics. He was found shot to death inside his apartment a few blocks south of Duke's campus in January. Lovette and Demario James Atwater, 21, were charged with first-degree murder in the death of Eve Carson. The 22-year-old was found last week lying on a street about a mile from the North Carolina campus in nearby Chapel Hill. Negro sentenced to death for slaughter of White 10-year-old girl and her family   A Tulsa man who was convicted last month of three murders in Owassowas formally sentenced to three death sentences. The Judge set an execution date for Clarence Goode Jr. Jurors found Goode, 31, guilty of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Kayla Burchett, 10, a Collinsville fifth-grader; her mother, Tara Burchett-Thompson, 25; and the slain woman's husband, Mitch Thompson, 28. Their bodies were found Aug. 26, 2005, at the couple's home. The jury imposed a death sentence on each murder count, and Goode received a concurrent 20-year term for first-degree burglary. He has maintained that he is innocent. Co-defendant Kenneth D. Johnson faces a Feb. 19 trial on the same charges. Black Juvenile Serial Killer Remains in Prison   WARWICK, R.I. - They called him Iron Man, a hulking teenage football player with a baby face and winsome smile who lived with his parents in a small ranch house in the Buttonwoods section of town. Then, one summer night in 1987, Craig Price crept across his neighbor's yard, broke into a little brown house on Inez Avenue and stabbed Rebecca Spencer 58 times. She was a 27-year-old mother of two. He was 13. Two years passed before Price struck again. Joan Heaton, 39, was butchered with the kitchen knives she had bought earlier that day. The bodies of her daughters, Jennifer 10, and Melissa 8, were found in pools of blood, pieces of knives broken off in their bones; Jennifer had been stabbed 62 times. Buttonwoods was paralyzed. Authorities arrested Van Roger Smith Jr., 16, and Sherrod Nicholas Harrison, 19, Monday afternoon. After a search, the Moore County Sheriff's Office took Michael Graham Currie, 18, into custody Monday night. All three teens were charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of breaking and entering. All are from Cameron. Twelve-year-old Emily Elizabeth Haddock was shot to death Friday in her home on Marks Road outside of Vass, authorities said. The girl had stayed home from school with strep throat and was alone. "(She was) very quiet, soft spoken, always had a smile. Smiling Black pleads not guilty to running down a white family in McDonald's parking lot - killing 2-year-old   The black man accused of running down five white family members and killing a 2-year-old girl in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in Covington last May pleaded not guilty. Lanny Perry Barnes, 46, attended the 15-minute arraignment hearing wearing street clothes and no expression on his face. Sitting behind him was Stephanie Casola, the mother who was hit, along with her two sons, niece, and sister, by Barnes' vehicle. Witnesses told police that Barnes struck the family, backed up, smiled, and drove into them again. Casola's niece, Avery King, died of her injuries. Dark Demon Sex Offender Charged With Kidnap-Rape-Kill of White 11-year-old Jacksonville Girl In 1996  Fla. -- A Connecticut sex offender will be returned to Florida to face a murder charge after being linked to the decade-old rape and drowning of an 11-year-old girl through a database of DNA from convicted sex offenders. Robert Shelton Mitchell, 43, was being held on a $5 million bond after being arraigned as a fugitive. He will face first-degree murder and capital sexual battery charges in the death of Cherie Morrisette of Jacksonville. The Mandarin Middle School student body was found on Dec. 8, 1996, floating in the St. John's River about 10 miles south of the apartment she shared with her mother and sister. An autopsy determined that Cherie drowned shortly after her disappearance on Dec. 2, 1996, and was alive when she either fell into the river or was thrown in. Police labeled the death suspicious, and authorities found a small DNA sample on her underwear and body. Mitchell lived in nearby Middleburg at the time of the girl's death, police said Thursday. Mitchell later moved to Connecticut and was convicted in January 2003 of illegal sexual contact with another child.
