Black arrested suspect in White woman's nude corpse found beneath overpass A black was arrested in connection with the discovery of a nude woman's body beneath an Interstate 65 overpass earlier this week. Derrick Martin, 34, was taken into custody a day after police released surveillance video of a man they called a person of interest in the case. IMPD said several tips that came in after the surveillance footage was released helped them track down Martin, who is held on preliminary murder and confinement charges in the slaying of Debra Furnish, 48. Martin has a criminal record and previously served time on a murder conviction. Police said that he also knew Furnish. The victim's unclothed body had been thrown over a fence. Repeat Black Offender Spared Death Sentence for murder of White woman - Gets life without parole   Cornelius Rogers has been in trouble with the law for over 20 years. Now at 42 years old he has been spared death for killing a mentally disabled woman, in part, for his difficult upbringing. This includes losing his left eye when he was 15. Some of Rogers' other crimes that were considered during the sentencing phase was sexual assault and pistol whipping a woman. His victim Julie Holt had a sock stuffed in her mouth and was hog-tied during a break-in of her familie's house in 2001. She died from suffocation according to the medical examiner. Black Lawrence Pinckney arrested for Christmas Day murder 73 year old white man   Tthe victim's roommate, Charles Piercy, returned home from out of town on Christmas Day to find 73-year-old Anthony Chiaramonte lying dead surrounded by blood inside his home in the Charleston National Country Club Community. Police say Piercy then dialed 911. When crews arrived, they found Chiaramonte lying dead upstairs at the foot of his bed. According to the coroner, Chiaramonte died from blunt force trauma to the head. Black Juvenile Serial Killer Remains in Prison   WARWICK, R.I. - They called him Iron Man, a hulking teenage football player with a baby face and winsome smile who lived with his parents in a small ranch house in the Buttonwoods section of town. Then, one summer night in 1987, Craig Price crept across his neighbor's yard, broke into a little brown house on Inez Avenue and stabbed Rebecca Spencer 58 times. She was a 27-year-old mother of two. He was 13. Two years passed before Price struck again. Joan Heaton, 39, was butchered with the kitchen knives she had bought earlier that day. The bodies of her daughters, Jennifer 10, and Melissa 8, were found in pools of blood, pieces of knives broken off in their bones; Jennifer had been stabbed 62 times. Buttonwoods was paralyzed. Police combed the streets. Neighbors padlocked their doors. Three black face capital murder charges for 'random and senseless' killing of caucasian Alabama co-ed  Authorities have arrested three men in the slaying of UAB student Kayla Fanaei, who was slain in an off campus shooting in October. One of the suspects was arrested early this morning at his girlfriend's home. Two others were taken into custody Wednesday morning, police said.
Fanaei, a 20-year-old majoring in psychology, was found dead about 1 a.m. Oct. 8 in the driver's seat of her convertible BMW in the parking lot of Glen Iris Elementary School. She had just left a surprise birthday party about five block from where she was killed.
After leaving, she pulled into the school parking lot, presumably to finish a cell phone conversation she was having with a friend who was in Auburn.
She told her friend some men were approaching her while she was parked there. She was shot once in the head area. The car, which remained in drive, rolled a short distance in the parking lot and crashed. Fanaei was pronounced dead at the scene. The convertible top and windows were up, her doors locked. | Four blacks charged with lynching two White men Duck hunting incident leads to fight at store  Four men have been charged with second-degree lynching in connection with a Thanksgiving Day fight captured on a store video camera. One of the men involved in the fight says it started after a remark was made about a Thanksgiving duck hunting trip. While town police say the fight was fueled by alcohol, the grandfather of one of the men in the fight says it was started by hate. "I saw hate in that tape. Hate, hate, hate," said Tony Fogle, whose grandson, Ross Fogle, was one of two men beaten at Shorty's Horizon that night. However, Norway Police Capt. Curtis Mizell said that based on his investigation and from reviewing the tape, he doesn't believe the altercation was hate-based. "I don't think so," Mizell said. "I think it was more alcohol-induced than anything else." Regardless, four individuals were arrested following the brawl. Charged with second-degree lynching was Reginald Youmans, 33, Marion Washington Jr., 25, McKenzie Clemons, 23, and Christopher Burkett, 32. Lynching is the legal term used when several people gang up on another. Black finally sentenced to die (for third time) for brutal lynch-murder of White girl  A family says it has received justice some 16 years after the death of 21-year-old Elaine Scott. A jury returned a death penalty verdict for a man convicted of killing the University of Oklahoma student from Tulsa. It's the third time convicted killer Alfred Mitchell has received the death sentence. After two appeals, three trials, and nearly 17 years, Elaine Scott’s family finally can find some closure. The jury deliberated before handing down the death penalty for Alfred Mitchell. Mitchell was first convicted and sentenced to die for brutally bludgeoning 21-year-old Elaine Scott to death with a wooden coat rack in 1992. That sentence was overturned because a forensic expert lied on the stand. Mitchell was tried and convicted again in 2002, and that death sentence was also overturned. The Scotts have suffered through three trials, reliving the gruesome details of their daughter's murder. They were pleased with the decision, but they say this is not true justice for their daughter. “Justice for my daughter would be for her to be alive,” said Bruce Scott, the victim’s father. “So justice in the sense that justice has been served for her death, yes. Pack of nine feral black-afro 'youths' brutally attack White woman on bus - "Not a hate crime"  The suspects in the incident are black. The victim is white, according to the police report. The attack immediately drew comparisons on talk radio and Internet blogs to the Jena, La. case in which a white student was attacked by a group of black students, leading to demontrations by black activists who alleged local authorities were prosecuting blacks more harshly than whites. As Sarah Kreager, 26, tried to sit down on a Baltimore City bus, a (black) middle-schooler told her she couldn’t. When she attempted to take another seat, a (black) middle-schooler wouldn’t let her. Finally, according to police, Kreager just sat down.She was “immediately attacked” by nine (black) students — three females and six males — from Robert Poole Middle School. They punched and kicked her at 2:59 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Chestnut Avenue, according to Maryland Transit Administration police. Kreager was dragged off the bus and her boyfriend, Troy Ennis, attempted to get her back on, police said. She sustained “serious injuries” and had to be transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, according to a police report. Kreager suffered two broken bones in her left eye socket, police said.“She had eye muscles that were damaged,” a police report states. “She had deep lacerations on the top of her head and another above her neck.” Two seats and the bus’ rear glass were destroyed during the attack, police said. The bus driver on the No. 27 line quickly called police, who responded and arrested the nine juveniles, said Jawauna Greene, an MTA police spokeswoman. UK: Three blacks jailed for racist lynching of White teen; stomping him to death  Three men have been jailed for kicking a teenager to death over a row when he bumped into them in the street. Ian Page, 19, was killed on the Edgware Road, north London.Andre Campbell, 24, his half-brother Lloyd Henry, 20, and Jermaine Yateman, 19, were convicted over his killing at the Old Bailey.
Campbell and Yateman were both found guilty of murder, and jailed for life with a minimum term of 15 years.
Henry, who was convicted of manslaughter, was sentenced to eight years. Both he and Yateman were sent to young offender institutions.

Investigators said 70-year-old Bill Williamson died during a home invasion. Newnan police said a black male broke into Williamson's home on Roberts Road, off East Washington Road, and shot the man to death. Elderly White Woman Describes Abduction, Beating by Two Blacks  JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An 83-year-old woman abducted from in front of her home last month is talking about the experience now that the two teenagers accused of attacking her are in jail. Margaret Weber said she was returning from church when she was grabbed by two men and forced into the trunk of their car. "We've never had a bit of problem until these two jerks showed up," Weber said. Police said Jonathan Bishop, 18, and Maria Wood, 19, kidnapped Weber, and drove off. They stopped twice to open the trunk to demand Weber's personal identification number. Each time she told them she didn't have a PIN. Police said each time they reacted by punching her in the face. Convicted black killer of two White women to get new trial due to technical errors   Fla. -- A convicted killer, who spent more than two years on death row, was granted a new trial by the Florida Supreme Court. Roy Lee McDuffie was convicted of killing two Dollar General Store clerks in Deltona in 2002. It happened as the Dollar General Store was closing five years ago and family members are angry. But they're not angry at the justice system; they're angry at McDuffie, the man they still firmly believe brutally killed two women. "I'm angry. I'm mad that it's come to this. And I'm scared," said Kelli Lee, the sister of one victim. Kelli Lee got a call from the Florida Supreme Court breaking the news that she would have to re-live the trial of Roy Lee McDuffie, the man who was on death row for killing her sister. "A new trial means we have to see all of the gruesome and hear all of the gruesome stuff again," she said. It was October 2002 when Lee's sister, Janice Schneider, and her co-worker, Dawnielle Beauregard, didn't come home from work at the Deltona Dollar General Store. Investigators found the women in the back of the store, shot and stabbed, their hands and feet wrapped with duct tape and one piece of tape bore the palm print of McDuffie, an (affirmative action) manager in training. Black tries to plead no contest in White teen's rape murder    SEATTLE -- A black charged with the 1978 rape and murder of a 15-year-old Seattle girl tried to plead no contest at his arraignment. Clarence E. Williams stood in a prison jump suit in King County Superior court and appeared to catch his lawyer off guard as he told the judge he wanted to enter a plea of "no contest" for the killing of Sara Beth Lundquist. Williams' lawyer intervened and the judge agreed to enter no plea so Williams and his lawyer can discuss the situation. A no contest plea is not technically an admission of guilt, but it could allow a judge to find a defendant guilty of the charges. Home Invasion by Blacks Leaves One White Man Dead Thirty-year-old Shawn Bisbee of North Little Rock, and his stepfather, 53-year-old David Rogers, were both transported to local hospitals. Bisbee died a short time later. Rogers remains hospitalized in stable condition. Police say two black male suspects were seen running from the area around the time of the incident. Authorities arrested Van Roger Smith Jr., 16, and Sherrod Nicholas Harrison, 19, Monday afternoon. After a search, the Moore County Sheriff's Office took Michael Graham Currie, 18, into custody Monday night. All three teens were charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of breaking and entering. All are from Cameron. Twelve-year-old Emily Elizabeth Haddock was shot to death Friday in her home on Marks Road outside of Vass, authorities said. The girl had stayed home from school with strep throat and was alone. "(She was) very quiet, soft spoken, always had a smile. Smiling Black pleads not guilty to running down a white family in McDonald's parking lot - killing 2-year-old   The black man accused of running down five white family members and killing a 2-year-old girl in the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant in Covington last May pleaded not guilty. Lanny Perry Barnes, 46, attended the 15-minute arraignment hearing wearing street clothes and no expression on his face. Sitting behind him was Stephanie Casola, the mother who was hit, along with her two sons, niece, and sister, by Barnes' vehicle. Witnesses told police that Barnes struck the family, backed up, smiled, and drove into them again. Casola's niece, Avery King, died of her injuries. Dark Demon Sex Offender Charged With Kidnap-Rape-Kill of White 11-year-old Jacksonville Girl In 1996  Fla. -- A Connecticut sex offender will be returned to Florida to face a murder charge after being linked to the decade-old rape and drowning of an 11-year-old girl through a database of DNA from convicted sex offenders. Robert Shelton Mitchell, 43, was being held on a $5 million bond after being arraigned as a fugitive. He will face first-degree murder and capital sexual battery charges in the death of Cherie Morrisette of Jacksonville. The Mandarin Middle School student body was found on Dec. 8, 1996, floating in the St. John's River about 10 miles south of the apartment she shared with her mother and sister. An autopsy determined that Cherie drowned shortly after her disappearance on Dec. 2, 1996, and was alive when she either fell into the river or was thrown in. Police labeled the death suspicious, and authorities found a small DNA sample on her underwear and body. Mitchell lived in nearby Middleburg at the time of the girl's death, police said Thursday. Mitchell later moved to Connecticut and was convicted in January 2003 of illegal sexual contact with another child.
