UK: Congolese migrant with criminal record fractured 86-year-old woman's pelvis in horrific assault A violent criminal with a string of convictions fractured an 86-year-old's pelvis eight months after he won a human rights battle to stay in Britain. A judge said Herve Mika, 24, should have been deported to his native Congo in central Africa, five years before he attacked a vulnerable pensioner in Ipswich, Suffolk. Mika was convicted of racially or religiously aggravated assault and affray at Coventry Crown Court in 2008, and the judge recommended he serve his sentence before being thrown out of Britain. However, he successfully appealed against his deportation in July last year, arguing he would not get the medication he needed for his mental illness in the Congo. In March this year Mika, 24, committed grievous bodily harm on a frail 86-year-old at a Sainsbury's. The attack has turned his devastated victim's life upside down, Ipswich Crown Court heard. Mika was trying to flee from staff who suspected him of shoplifting when he pushed the woman to the ground. - (UK) |
Black suspect shoots at White ex-Marine Gastonia clerk during armed robbery GASTONIA, N.C. -- Convenience store clerk Charles Welch never thought he had nerves of steel, but six years in the Marines must have taught him something -- Saturday night he kept cool and ducked for cover as bullets whizzed by his head at the store where he worked. One of his regular customers at GAStonia Express on S. York Road stopped in for a beer, said Welch, then asked him for some Cigarellos. Welch turned briefly to get them, but then turned back to see something unexpected. “When I turned back around,” said Welch, “the individual had a gun pointed in my direction with the hammer back.” “I said, 'Man what's going on?' and he said, 'Charlie you know what's up',” said Welch. The cameras show Welch diving for cover in a back room as the man reaches for the locked cash register and fires three shots. Then the man grabbed a 16-ounce Bud Light and ran out the door. Police arrested Jah Laquan Setzer, 23, and charged him with felony assault and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is in jail. Welch said police caught Setzer when he walked up to a police car and started chatting with an officer – at the same time Welch was on the phone with police dispatchers. “I thank God I'm alive and didn't get shot, and glad the police caught him as soon as they did -- before anybody else got hurt.” - (Black-on-white) |

Affirmative Action: African professor Julius Nyang'oro ran the non-existent “Department of African American Studies" One Julius Nyang'oro ran the non-existent “Department of African American Studies" program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was the figure behind this fraud; he had every one fooled such that he actually had academic advisers steering student athletes towards this area of study. No one yet knows how many students where given a free pass, but we can tell you how many of these fake courses existed: Fifty four! That should give you some idea of how many students were enrolled in these classes. UNC can't say this was a rogue operation by one man because there's ample evidence of academic advisers suggesting student athletes enroll in these courses. Furthermore, are we really to believe the head coaches at UNC - who desperately wanted star athletes to stay eligible - didn't know where to send these so called student athletes? |
