    'Cannibal' who killed homeless man, ate his eyes and brain found not guilty by reason of insanity
Tyree Lincoln SmithBRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A three-judge panel has found a man not guilty by reason of insanity in the death of a homeless man he admitted to killing and partially eating. The judges deliberated about an hour before finding that prosecutors had proven 35-year-old Tyree Lincoln Smith of Lynn Haven, Fla., killed and cannibalized Angel Gonzalez in December 2011, but that Smith was legally insane at the time. The judges will determine on Sept. 9 whether Smith should be committed to a mental hospital. During the trial, prosecutors presented a videotaped statement to police in which Smith says he used a hatchet to kill Gonzalez, then took out the man's eyes and part of his brain and ate them. Smith was charged with murder in the death of Gonzalez, who was killed on the third floor of an abandoned Bridgeport home. His body was found more than a month later by an inspector for a mortgage company.

    Woman found covered in blood after mom's eyes gouged out
Ferna QuesnerLAKE WORTH, Fla. —A South Florida woman is behind bars and her mother is in a hospital after a July 4 attack that left the suspect's mom seriously injured. Ferna Quesner, 34, is accused of "beating her mother with a white pole," according to an anonymous caller whose account was included in a release issued by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Quesner was "covered in blood" when deputies arrived at the home, according to the release. "The victim's eyes were discovered on the kitchen floor near a knife and a large pool of blood," according to the probable cause affidavit. Quesner suffers from an unknown mental disability, the release stated. Quesner admitted to the attack on her mother.

    Minister faces child sex crime charges
Travis Lashon McQuillaSUFFOLK, Va. - An associate minister at a Smithfield church has been arrested on charges of sex crimes against a child. Travis Lashon McQuillia, 33, of Suffolk was arrested on two counts of abduction, two counts of indecent liberties with a child by a custodian, and three counts of sexual assault. McQuillia's charges were related to incidents that occurred between 2009 and 2012 in Suffolk with a female victim he knew, who was between 13 and 17 years of age.

    3rd suspect arrested in assault, kidnapping of 28-year-old female
Justin Darreal Johnson, Roy Dean Griffin, Delton T. Sidney Houston police have arrested the third and final suspect wanted in the assault and kidnapping of a 28-year-old female on June 30. The third suspect, Justin Darreal Johnson, 20, was taken into custody and charged with kidnapping. Roy Dean Griffin, 20, and Delton T. Sidney, 21, were arrested and also charged with kidnapping. The female victim was involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend at Time Saver convenience store. She proceeded to get into a vehicle with three unknown males and was then driven around the Lakewood subdivision. The woman was physically assaulted and a rape attempt was also made before she was able to flee on foot from the suspects. After investigators released surveillance video to the public, a Crime Stoppers tip led to the identities of the three wanted suspects. Sidney and Griffin were arrested on July 8. Griffin had changed his appearance and cut his dreadlocks since the day of the incident.

    Rosewood Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested
Anthony Tyrone DervinColumbia, SC (WLTX) - Columbia police have arrested a suspect they say sexually assaulted and kidnapped a woman. Officers took 47-year-old Anthony Tyrone Dervin into custody around 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Walmart on Bush River Road. Officers say they intend to charge him with sexual assault, burglary, and kidnapping. The assault took place Monday morning in the Rosewood neighborhood. According to officers, around 5 a.m. the suspect broke into the woman's home and forced her to perform a sex act on him. Officers say he then forced her to drive him to an ATM.

Demond JohnsonTHIBODAUX, LA — A Thibodaux man was arrested for hate crimes after he allegedly attacked a man and made racially charged statements. The victim was reportedly knocked unconscious, received lacerations on his face, and his teeth were damaged. “It’s not an entirely common charge,” a Thibodaux Police person, said. “You don’t see racially charged crimes very often, and I would say that’s a good thing.” It all started on Saturday, July 6 at a rented facility. The suspect, Demond Johnson, 29, is accused of attacking a man and allegedly stole his cell phone. “He made racially charged statements as soon as he took the victim’s phone,” Melancon explained. “A witness reported that shortly before the incident, he was heard yelling racial remarks on the dance floor. He asked why they were renting a facility from white people.” Officials say officers witnessed Johnson continue to make additional threats after the incident. “After he was arrested, officers reported that he continued to make racially charged threats against the victim.” Johnson, who is currently on parole, was arrested and charged with Hate Crimes, Second-Degree Robbery, and Second-Degree Battery. - (Hatecrimes)

    Kenyan Woman Appears in a Kansas Court, Accused of Repeated Sexual Assaults On Child
Maurine Mutindi Kimwele A 23-year-old Kenyan woman living in Johnson County, Kansas appears in court today, July 8th. Maurine Mutindi Kimwele is charged with the rape of a child less than 14 years old. Maurine was arrested on August of last year, and according to prosecutors, Maureen had sex with the child between April and September 2010. She is accused of fondling and touching the same victim again on July 16, 2012. The prosecutors would not confirm the gender of the victim nor the victim’s exact age.

    2 charged in assault of 11-year-old at sleepover
Steven Johnson, 19, of Lansing, and Daniel Rucker, 20Two men have been charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old at her classmate’s birthday sleepover over the weekend. Steven Johnson, 19, of Lansing, and Daniel Rucker, 20, of Calumet City, were charged with predatory criminal sexual assault at the Johnson residence, according to Lansing police. It is considered a class X felony. The party began Saturday evening with dancing and games until late in the evening. When the girls went upstairs for bed, an adult sent the 11-year-old downstairs to get blankets. In the basement, Johnson and Rucker sexually assaulted her, according to police.

    Houseguest Charged With Raping Family's Young Kids
Moises RodriguezA man visiting from the Dominican Republic who was given a place to stay for several months by a friend is now in jail charged with sexually abusing and raping the young children living at the home. Moises Rodriguez, 56, is charged with four counts of sexual battery on a child and two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation. Police say his victims were 3, 7 and 8 years old.

    Docs: Man rapes pregnant store worker
Travis MarlettMUNCIE, Ind. - A woman five months pregnant was raped at a Muncie store before the man robbed the place of $350 in cash. Travis Marlett, 25, admitted to police he “inappropriately touched” the woman without her consent before taking the cash. Marlett of Muncie is facing three felony charges. The woman told police on the Fourth of July she was working at Cirilla’s when Marlett asked for help locating a price on an item. When she got close to him, he grabbed her. When she tried to push him away, he used a stungun on her stomach before she told him she was pregnant. As a result, he punched her in the stomach and taped her hands behind her back, the woman told police. Marlett proceeded to sexually assault the woman before making her count out $350 for him.
This wasn't his first brush with the law. In 2005, Leigh Ann Vorhees was alone in a high school classroom when Marlett slit her throat.
   

    Newark man gets 15 years in Riverbank Park rape and robbery
Jamal PeoplesA Newark man convicted of robbing and raping a woman at Riverbank Park has been sentenced to 15 years in state prison. Jamal Peoples, 27, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault. Peoples had been charged in connection with a 2011 robbery near a gazebo at Riverbank Park, where he held up a couple at gunpoint. Peoples took the cell phones of the man and woman, as well as the woman’s identification and cash. He then told the man to take off his shoes and run away. Once Peoples and the female victim were alone, the attacker sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

    Queens Woman Says Husband ‘Slashed Me’ And ‘Left Me There To Die’
Dartanyan KingsberryNEW YORK – A woman who claims she was viciously attacked by her husband and left to die on a Queens street last week is speaking out. Jennifer Altman said she has been with her husband, 23-year-old Dartanyan Kingsberry, for two years but he turned violent when they married two months ago. The violence escalated last Friday when the 26-year-old said her husband slashed her with a boxcutter after she insisted on a divorce. “His words were, ‘If I can’t have you, nobody can have you. You think you’re pretty, you’re not going to be pretty anymore,’” Altman said. “He slashed me seven times all over my body and just left me there to die.” Police said Kingsberry fled the scene and is still at large.

    Fired maintenance man sentenced to life for apartment manager murder
Robert Earl WalterBENTON, LA - A Shreveport man found guilty of second degree murder in the deadly shooting of a Bossier City apartment manager has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. That's the maximum sentence Robert Earl Walter could have received, following his conviction on June 27 by a Bossier Parish jury. 32-year-old April Fulghum, a wife and mother of two, was fatally shot inside her office at the Lexington Place Apartments last October. Walter, who had been fired as a maintenance man at the complex just days before, never denied shooting Fulghum.     Church child rape suspect due in court
Blake Cole DAYTON, Ohio - A 19-year-old accused of raping a child at a church is expected back in court Monday. Blake Cole is charged with raping a 5-year-old at Fort McKinley United Methodist Church in April. After his arrest, he entered a not guilty plea by reason of insanity. A judge will rule whether he's competent to stand trial.

    Dayton man charged with raping girlfriend
Jeffrey Cooper Sgt. Larry Tolpin said the charge of rape against Jeffrey Cooper was approved. He allegedly punched her eight to 10 times in the head. He then forced her into sex against her will, according to Tolpin.

   

Man accused of Bonita rape & murder appears in court
Robert Toribio Darla MillerLEE COUNTY, Fla.- A man accused of raping and murdering a Bonita Springs woman is expected in court. Robert Toribio Sr. is currently in the Lee County Jail without bond. Deputies say Toribio killed Darla Miller back in January. He is expected in court to appear for violating his probation, and faces second degree murder and sexual battery charges for Miller's death.

Felicion CharlesColorado Springs police say they arrested an active Fort Carson soldier for his part in a home invasion and sexual assault on Monday. Felicion Charles was arrested by police Saturday and charged with sexual assault, aggravated robbery and first-degree burglary. Police say Charles was one of two men who entered a woman's apartment early Monday morning in the 4000 block of Westmeadow Drive. Once inside police say Charles sexually assaulted the woman at gunpoint while his accomplice burglarized the home.

    Cold Springs homicide victim identified as Lacee Shupe * Man Suspect in Cold Springs Homicide Investigation
Lacee Nicole ShupeRobert OwensDouglas High graduate and former Gardnerville resident Lacee Nicole Shupe, 22, was identified as the woman killed in a disturbance at her Cold Springs home early Monday morning. According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Shupe and another roommate were allegedly injured in an altercation with roommate, Robert Owens, 41. Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of suspicious circumstances at 5:30 a.m. Monday. The initial cause of death is believed to be stabbing or a wound caused by a sharp edge, however a final determination is pending from the Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office. All three subjects were transported to a local hospital where victim, Shupe, succumbed to her injuries. Details from the preliminary investigation indicate the suspect is Robert Owens, 41, a Cold Springs resident who was transported for self-inflicted injuries. - (Black-on-white)

    Police make arrests in year-old murder case
Aaron LeffageTerry Frasier, 28, and Terry EuglonBEAUMONT - Wednesday marks one year since the murder of Aaron Leffage, 20, of Lumberton. Just one day before that tragic anniversary, Beaumont police believe they arrested the two men who killed him. Tuesday night, police arrested Terry Frasier, 28, and Terry Euglon, 23. Both men are charged with capital murder. The murder took place on July 3, 2012 in Beaumont's north end. The day of the murder, Beaumont Police Sgt. Rob Flores said that two men dropped Leffage off at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. He had serious injuries caused by blunt force. Hospital staff treated Laffage in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit where he died on July 5, 2012. Police say evidence shows Frasier and Euglon robbed and assaulted Leffage. Police have not released a motive, nor specified how Leffage was assaulted. According to Beaumont detectives, the two had been suspects all along, but it took a year to gather enough evidence and put enough together to get the warrants. - (Black-on-white)

The suspects are accused of beating the victim and then forcing him into the path of a car. The fatal crash happened just after 1 a.m. Joshua Heath Chellew, 36, of Mableton was struck by a vehicle and later died. Authorities said Chellew did not know his attackers. A friend of Chellew said that the two had gone to a gas station when several men jumped Chellew. "They started punching him. They starting beating on him," said the woman. Chellew attempted to escape his attackers by backing into Mableton Parkway. Chellew was then knocked down onto the roadway, where he was struck by the vehicle. The following four suspects are charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and violation of the Georgia Street Gang Act. Gabriel Edwards, 15, faces 14 charges, including murder, robbery and auto theft. Edwards was arrested following the spree on Feb. 13. His friend, Sirquain Burr, was arrested as well. Both teens are accused of several robberies, a high speed chase and the death of 38-year-old John Yingling. Yingling’s ex-wife, Janet, said the past few months have been difficult. “I couldn’t even begin to say how hard it’s been. I mean, he was, I’ve known him since I was like 17,” Janet Yingling said. The crimes include two robberies, an attempted robbery and two shootings, one of which was fatal. Matt Erich was walking near his home in Speedway when he came face to face with the two teens now accused in a deadly crime spree. "Right where that stop sign is, is where they approached me," he said. The 15- and 17-year olds' run from the law ended in a violent crash after a police chase Wednesday morning. Earlier the same day, Erich says two teens in a blue Ford SUV pulled a gun on him as he walked in his Speedway neighborhood. "I turned around twice and continued to walk that's when he yelled out hey #^*&^#! and that's when I turned around and ran the opposite way," said Erich.
    Rex Souter was out walking his dog along Dandy Trail near Eagle Creek Reservoir when a vehicle pulled up and someone started shooting at him. Souter ran, but a bullet struck him. Souter says the shooter looked at him and started firing without saying a word.

    62-year-old Kenny Winslow says he was out for his morning walkKenny Winslow. “All of a sudden, the car started coming into Earl Court.” He says a teen got out with a gun. “He says, give me your wallet, I told him I said, I don’t carry a wallet. He said, give me your wallet. He’s got this gun right at me. Well, it looked like it was a fake weapon.” Winslow, who'd been in the army reserves, said he didn't think twice when he fought back, trying to get the attention of a neighbor nearby. “I put my hand on his hand with the pistol, and put it down at a 45 degree angle,” he explained. “I said, come on, let’s get it on, let’s get it on. He was starting to back up, and I’m going after him.” He said the gunman ran back to his car, while Winslow ran to a nearby home. “The good lord was looking out for me that day,” he added.

    38-year-old John Yingling's two children and their mother speak out one day after their father was killed in a crime spree that spanned two counties. Police say John Yingling was pulling out of his driveway Wednesday morning heading to work when he was shot and killed. His ex wife is trying to make sense of the random act of violence. "He was a good man and he didn't deserve that. He worked everyday for everything that he had and it's just gone that quick," says Janet Yingling, the mother of his two children.

Timothy BraggPolice are looking for a Toledo man who is accused of raping children younger than 10 years old. Timothy Bragg, 24, of 729 Walnut St., is charged in Lucas County Common Pleas Court with seven counts of rape. According to an indictment, the suspect’s alleged victims are children younger than 10 at the time. Police Sgt. Joe Heffernan said there was more than one victim. Police said they believe they have identified all victims. The reported assaults happened between Dec. 20, 2010, and April 3, 2013. Mr. Bragg is black, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and 215 pounds, according to jail records.

Danny WilliamsTUSCALOOSA | Authorities have brought charges of rape and incest against a Tuscaloosa man accused of abusing a teenager. Danny Williams, 51, faces once count each of second-degree rape and incest. He was arrested on Thursday and taken to the Tuscaloosa County jail, where he remained Friday on $45,000 bond. Lt. Brad Mason, spokesman for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said investigators in the department’s Youth Aid Division began a probe into Williams in June. Mason said the abuse had been occurring during the past couple of years and, in working with the 14-year-old victim, investigators were able to establish enough probable cause to bring the charges.

Tracy S. TaylorA 45-year-old Aurora man has been charged with kidnapping a woman from an Aurora park in August 2011 and raping and beating her. Tracy S. Taylor was indicted by a Kane County grand jury in late June and was being held on $1 million bail in Cook County jail on kidnapping charges, also from August 2011.

    'Pants on the ground' carjacking suspect captured
Elijah FreemanPolice say Elijah Freeman, 20, stole a car at gunpoint Friday morning in Clayton County, south of Atlanta. After a short chase, police say Freeman crashed the stolen car on the front lawn of Clayton County police headquarters. Police say Freeman then tried to flee on foot but was unable to run well because he was wearing what a popular song called "pants on the ground." With his pants falling toward his knees, police say they were able to capture Freeman within seconds. As the suspect sat in a patrol car -- wearing only his boxer shorts and a T-shirt -- an investigator examined the suspect's fallen pants, crumpled on the ground nearby.

Mexican national Rape Suspect Agrees to STD Testing
CesarThe suspect in a series of sexual assaults in the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas will comply with a court order and submit to testing for sexually transmitted diseases, according to his attorney. Dallas police arrested Cesar Benitez, a Mexican national also known as Pino Porcayo, in early April. According to investigators, a DNA sample taken from Benitez matches samples taken from three rape victims in attacks between late February through mid-March.



    Leader of Durham sect receives two life sentences for 2010 killings
Peter Lucas Moses Durham, N.C. — The leader of a Durham religious sect was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the 2010 murders of a 4-year-old boy and a woman who tried to leave his group. Peter Lucas Moses led a polygamist group that lived in a home in southeast Durham. He took several women as his "wives," and they referred to him as "Lord." In October 2010, he shot Jadon Higganbothan because he thought the boy was gay and had made an inappropriate gesture toward one of Moses' children. Two months later, Moses ordered Antoinetta Yvonne McKoy, 28, killed, according to investigators, when he learned she couldn't have children and wanted to leave the group. Three of his followers, Vania Rae Sisk, Lavada Quinzetta Harris and LaRhonda Renee Smith, beat McKoy in a bathroom while religious music played before Sisk shot and killed her.

Joseph BryantJoseph Bryant has been in the Kent County Jail for more than a year after he was arrested on the campus of GRCC due to a young woman’s allegation that she had seen him masturbating three feet away from her as she practiced piano in a small rehearsal room. She said made a quick exit from the room, but Bryant followed her until she hid in a computer lab, she then alerted campus police.

    Accused rapist arrested during swat situation on Cleveland's east side
Melvin AllenCLEVELAND, OH - Federal Marshals arrested a fugitive Thursday afternoon after a situation called for a SWAT team. Marshals say Melvin Allen barricaded himself inside the attic of a home at 5608 E. 55th street. SWAT and Fire and Cleveland Police were called to assist the fugitive unit who were serving warrants. Allen was wanted by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force for burglary and rape.

 

    Florida Woman Charged With Biting Ear of Another Woman
 Kesha TaylorA Sarasota, Fla., woman is behind bars on charges of aggravated battery after authorities say she bit the ear of another woman during a dispute. Jail records show 32-year-old Kesha Taylor is being held on $7,500. Her arraignment is scheduled for July 26th. It's not immediately known if she has an attorney. Authorities say officers responded to a park on Wednesday afternoon in reference to a report of a battery. When they arrived they found a 38-year-old woman suffering from a severe bite to her left ear. The victim told officers that she and Taylor were arguing over a phone when the dispute turned physical.

Stepfon Muse PALM BAY, Fla. - A 30-year-old man was arrested in Palm Bay on allegations of biting his pregnant wife's butt during an argument in their car. Stepfon Muse was arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery after Palm Bay police investigated the incident and found a visible bite mark on the woman's buttocks. Palm Bay police said Muse and his wife got into a heated argument near the intersection of San Filippo Drive and Foundation Parkway.  Robert Lee MoselyA Houston man is accused of robbing a northwest Houston grocery store using an unusual weapon - his teeth, according to Harris County prosecutors. Investigators said that Robert Lee Mosely entered Food Town, and loaded up a cart with beer and meat items. A store employee confronted the suspect as he tried to leave the store without paying for the items, police said. During an ensuing struggle, Mosely bit the employee on the hand, said a Houston police spokeswoman.

Arturo Olivar-GonzalezDELAWARE, Ohio - A Delaware County grand jury has returned an indictment against a man who allegedly raped a child at a family party. Arturo Olivar-Gonzalez, 30, is charged with two counts rape in connection with the sexual assault of a juvenile girl. Investigators say Olivar-Gonzalez raped a child under the age of 12 during a children's sleep over.

    Parolee charged with New Year's killing of retired nun
Michael BriggsMary Stella Greco SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - A man incarcerated in Schenectady County Jail has been charged in the death of a retired nun found dead inside her home on New Year's Day. The Schenectady County District Attorney's Office says 37-year-old Michael Briggs, a parolee, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the killing of 82-year-old Mary Greco. Briggs was taken into custody on a parole violation in January. He was being held on unrelated charges while being questioned in Greco's death. Greco was found killed inside 1402 Stanford Street in Schenectady on January 1, 2013 by the owners of her apartment building. Her car, which had been parked at the crime scene, was located by police in the parking lot of St. John the Evangelist Church parking lot shortly after she was found. - (Black-on-white)
   

    Murder charge filed in shooting death of retired minister
David AllenThomas Dean Sr.He was only going to be gone a short while, Thomas Dean Sr. told his family Saturday afternoon. But the retired minister never returned. Around 3 that afternoon, Dean was killed by a bullet fired during some kind of dispute at the house that his friend was moving out of. On Sunday, prosecutors filed second-degree murder charges against David Allen, a 37-year-old Vacaville, Calif., man. Allen also was charged with armed criminal action. He allegedly shot Dean, 58, in the driveway of a house. Witnesses said they heard a single gunshot, and Allen allegedly ran away. Dean died at the scene - (Black-on-white)

Police said Tuesday they are searching for the suspect who shot Jerry Wayne Sherrell, 54.     Orleans Parish jail inmate booked with homo rape of cellmate
Louis MonroeAn Orleans Parish jail inmate has been booked with rape after being accused of forcing his cellmate to perform oral sex on him. Louis Monroe, 28, faces one count of forcible rape, punishable with between five and 40 years in prison. Orleans Parish sheriff investigators say they spoke with an informant who told them about a possible sexual assault involving a 17-year-old inmate housed in the jail's Templeman V facility. Detectives visited the inmate, who agreed to an interview. The 17-year-old, who was jailed on a second-degree murder charged, told detectives that Monroe shook him awake on June 21 and told him: "It's time for you to pay up, kiss my (penis)," detectives wrote in an affidavit.

Stephen Lamont Ward A Charlotte man lured a 14-year-old girl to a hotel room by promise of alcohol, then proceeded to engage in sexual acts, including photographing the nude minor, police say. Saturday night, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to La Casa Hote on a report that a 14-year-old had been raped by an adult male. Police say 40-year-old Stephen Lamont Ward met the girl at ImaginOn, a children's entertainment venue, and lured her back to La Casa Hotel with the promise of alcoholic beverages.

    Sheriff: 18-year-old charged with rape
Jalen Alexander Earwood-ToneyWINSTON, Ore. -- An 18-year-old was arrested after the Sheriff's office says it investigated a report of sexual abuse. On June 3, the Sheriff's office says it got a report about a possible sex abuse involving a 14-year-old female in the Winston area. Authorities say that Jalen Alexander Earwood-Toney, 18, became their suspect after an investigation. Earwood-Toney was found in the Roseburg area on Tuesday and interviewed by the Sheriff's office, officials said. Following the interview, Earwood-Toney was taken into custody and charged by the Sheriff's office with third degree rape and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Mareno SmithLAVERGNE, TN - A Midstate police officer who was training to work with school children has been fired for what the chief calls gross misconduct and sexual harassment. Officer Mareno Smith was kicked out of a training school last week and fired from the La Vergne police force in what police Chief Mike Walker says is not only an embarrassment to the department but something that could result in criminal charges if the alleged victims decide to prosecute. Smith was in a training school in West Tennessee when he allegedly sexually harassed or groped as many as four women, including other officers in the program and a maid.

    Black basketball coach had sex with a 16-year-old student due to be relased
Monte Nowden A former Gates Chili basketball coach, who had sex with a 16-year-old student at Tinseltown Movie Theater was in New York State Supreme Court Wednesday. Judge Alex Renzi has to decide where Monte Nowden will be a Level 1 or Level 2 sex offender. Nowden is due to be released in August and will have to register as a sex offender. The Department of Corrections assessment designated Nowden as a Level 1 sex offender, the lowest level. But the District Attorney's Office says he should be a Level 2.

    Delaware State Police Search For (Black) Sex Offender
Tony BoyerMILTON, Del. - Delaware State Police are looking for a sex offender after he failed to verify his address. Police say Tony Boyer, 41, is at moderate risk for re-offending. He was supposed to re-register his home address for the Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit (SOAR) as required by law, but he failed to do so. Boyer is described as a black male, 6'03'' tall and 240 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and may live in the Rehoboth or West Rehoboth areas.

 
  • Police Log: Woman escapes alleged rape attempt by black neighbors
    A man and woman allegedly ripped off the dress of their female neighbor as they tried to rape her at their residence on Monday, July 1. A witness reported hearing pounding and screaming at the apartment on the 700 block of West 10th St. and then seeing the victim pulled inside the residence at 11:07 p.m. According to the victim, the two alleged attackers wanted her to go inside and listen to a song. When she got inside, the woman allegedly pinned her to the ground while the man started to fondle her. The victim fought back when the man allegedly tried to take her pants off and the woman began punching her in the head. She needed medical attention for injuries to her head and leg. No arrests were made. Both alleged attackers are described as being black and standing 5 feet, 11 inches. The man is about 245 pounds while the woman is about 300 pounds

   

Jose Aguilar accused of 9-month-old's death now faces rape, murder charges
Jose Aguilar BENTON COUNTY, Wash. -- The charges against convicted sex offender Jose Aguilar were upgraded to 1st degree rape of a child and 2nd degree murder. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday in court. Aguilar was originally held on a manslaughter charge. The Richland man is suspected of killing his girlfriend's nine-month old at the home they shared in north Richland. According to court papers, the child suffered severe vaginal trauma and had fractures to her skull when she was found dead in her crib on June 7th. Aguilar was returned to Benton County after fleeing to California.


   

Juan Alberto Rodriguez accused of rape in Brownsville
Juan Alberto Rodriguez Juan Alberto Rodriguez is behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting an acquaintance. Brownsville police arrested him Wednesday. Rodriguez remains in custody at the Cameron County Jail under a $75,000 dollar bond for a sexual assault charge. Records show that Rodriguez lives at the Villa Del Sol apartments, a public housing complex for low-income and elderly residents.


   

Teen rape suspect Felipe Lopez-Velasquez enters guilty plea
Felipe Lopez-VelasquezGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - A Grand Rapids teenager has pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual conduct and unarmed robbery in a September attack on a Grand Valley University student. A prosecutor recommended that a judge sentence Felipe Lopez-Velasquez, who was 16 at the time of the incident, to six years and nine months to 11 years and three months in prison at the minimum. He was charged as an adult. Lopez-Velasquez was accused of repeatedly raping the GVSU student on Sept. 10 in the area of Valley Avenue and West Fulton Street.


   

Spanish-speaking 'Disturbed individual' again accused of sex with horse
Cirilo Castillo JrEDINBURG – An Edinburg man is headed back to jail for allegedly having sex with a horse again. Cirilo Castillo Jr., 43, was charged with criminal trespass and cruelty to animals Wednesday after he tied a horse named India to her corral near the intersection of Alberta Road and Cesar Chavez Drive and performed oral and vaginal sex on her, according to a probable cause affidavit. His bond for the two charges was set at $35,000. Texas does not have a law against having sex with animals, but trespassing is illegal. Castillo said almost nothing during his court appearance only answering questions from Justice of the Peace Bobby Contreras in Spanish, one-word replies.
