UK: British soldier beheaded by black Islamic terrorists
Hands covered in blood, the attacker ranted about Allah. A British soldier was beheaded Wednesday on a London street in a “sickening and barbaric” attack by a pair of machete-wielding jihadists, officials and witnesses said. The brazen and heinous slaying occurred in broad daylight in front of stunned witnesses, who said the attackers screamed “Allah Akbar.” British Prime David Cameron Cameron said the atrocity appeared to be “terror-related.” With his hands soaked in blood, one of the attackers was filmed on the street right after the attack and made a chilling claim of responsibility. "We swear by Almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you,” said the attacker, wearing a black watchcap and holding the bloody machete in his left hand. A Clarke County grand jury on Tuesday indicted an Athens man for strangling and binding a woman with duct tape during an alleged rape attempt nearly a year ago. Charlie Daniel Dorsey, 33, was arrested July 31, soon after the alleged victim escaped from the home where she had been held against her will. Athens-Clarke police said at the time that the 22-year-old woman claimed Dorsey duct taped both her wrists and strangled her while raping her, causing her to lose consciousness.

The girl started screaming and she and her mother then chased after Rodriguez to no avail. The girl and her mother called 9-1-1 and the 16-year-old told deputies that she knows Rodriguez from school. The girl also told deputies that Rodriguez is infatuated with her, but she wants nothing to do with him. Rodriguez was found sometime later and he told deputies that he thought he was entering his own house. But then he admitted that he went into the girl's residence because he wanted to have sex with her. Rodriguez was charged with attempted sexual battery, child abuse and burglary with battery.

Police arrested a man after he allegedly exposed himself to a woman while asking her for driving directions in Newark Sunday. Police say 31-year-old Charles Word pulled his car over asked the woman for directions. When the woman approached the car and looked inside, police say Word’s pants were down and he exposed himself.
A 25-year-old woman allegedly was raped while sleeping in Dumfries, Va., Saturday. An investigation revealed the victim was asleep at the suspect's home in the 17400 block of Wilson Street when she woke to an acquaintance raping her, police said. MC Stewart, 22, was arrested and charged with rape following the investigation.
Authorities asked for the public’s help Monday in locating a man they consider to be extremely violent and an imminent public threat. Frank Edward Edmonds, 40, is wanted on a warrant for a parole violation and a pending battery case, the LA County Probation Department said. Officials say during a recent confinement at the UCLA Harbor General Mental Health Facility, Edmonds made “several disturbing comments to staff that he was thinking about killing school children and then ending his life in a suicide by cop scenario.”
OH - A Colerain Township man is arrested on charges he raped a 12-year-old girl. Toussaint Thrower, 37, is accused of committing the crime over a period of two years. He is expected to appear in court this morning. The police report also states the victim is pregnant and the act happened at least four times between 5-18-2011 and 1-1-2013.

Four former high school football players in Pflugerville will not serve time for their roles in the rape of a 9-th grader two years ago. All 4 men pleaded guilty to attempted unlawful restraint and were sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication. Leonard Scales, 20 and 21-year-old Tommie Robins Jr had been charged with sexual assault. Deionta James, 21, and 19-year-old Curtis Franklin were charged with unlawful restraint. The victim told police that James and Franklin held her down in the shower area at a pool while Scales and Robins took turns sexually assaulting her. 
A St. Louis man pleaded guilty and was sentenced Friday to 48 years in prison for raping a woman at gunpoint in Castle Point in 2001. Jerrell Scott, 28, was linked to the attack by DNA, according to prosecutors. Prosecutors said Scott grabbed the woman off the street on Oct. 26, 2001, and took her to two adjoining yards where he raped her. Scott also asked the woman to perform oral sex on him but she refused, prosecutors said. The woman immediately sought help after the attack. The DNA hit, linking Scott to biological material left on the woman's pants, came last year, according to prosecutors.

DAYTON — A 35-year-old man remains in jail on a $300,000 bond following an indictment accusing him of rape and other felonies. Erick White was formally charged this week by a Montgomery County grand jury on charges of domestic violence and aggravated burglary as well, according to the county prosecutor’s office. White is accused of entering a home on Karwin Drive without permission on May 2 and assaulting a woman there. According to court records, he has domestic violence convictions from 1998 and 2011.
BELLEVILLE, Ill. - A Belleville man has been charged for allegedly abusing a 28-year-old woman. Police were called by a woman who said she was sexually abused. She said she was sitting on the steps to her apartment building smoking a cigarette when a man approached her and asked her for a cigarette. The victim says she gave the man a cigarette, and was chatting with the man when she became uncomfortable. She says she gathered her belongings and was walking back into her apartment when the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Anthony T. Graham, grabbed her arm and pulled her between two buildings. Graham allegedly put his hand down the woman's pants. The woman says she struggled and was able to break free and run inside her apartment where she called police. Police found Graham nearby hiding under bushes. 
PHILADELPHIA – A 27-year-old woman has been arrested for assaulting a student at a Philadelphia elementary school. Atiff Brown, of S. 60th Street in Philadelphia, was arrested for allegedly assaulting an 11-year-old student at A.B. Anderson Elementary School on Monday. Brown was charged with Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Defiant Trespass.
A homeless man has been arrested in the rape of an unconscious homeless woman in a downtown alley, police said. Just after midnight Friday, officers were alerted to a possible assault in the 200 block of McCrea Street, the alley southwest of Georgia and Meridian streets. The officers found a man raping a woman between a trash compactor and a fence, police said. The woman was found to be unconscious and took two minutes to respond, police said. The man was identified as Theodore Bryant, 56. He was arrested on a preliminary charge of rape.
A Nashville man has been charged with aggravated child abuse stemming from the death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old son. 30-year-old Donald Harris admitted to whipping the child multiple times with a belt and striking him with his hand. Police said an ambulance was called to the mother's home after she reported the child had stopped breathing. The child died shortly after he arrived at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. The hospital staff reported finding multiple bruises on the child's abdomen, chest, back, leg, arms, face, and head. The affidavit said he had also sustained abrasions on his face, chest, and neck areas, as well as injuries on the inside of his upper and lower lips.

OH - A baby girl was fatally stabbed at a Sandusky home on Thursday. The baby was just 11-months, and was attacked inside a house on Dewey Street. Denzel Castile, 19, was arrested at the scene. He is charged and is being held without bond. The relationship between the baby and Castile is not clear at this time.

A federal grand jury has indicted state Rep. Tyrone Brooks over allegations claiming he misappropriated more than $1 million in charitable funds. Brooks, a Democrat from Atlanta, was charged Thursday with 30 counts of mail fraud, wire fraud and false tax returns. The allegations involve Brooks' relationship with Universal Humanities, a charity he founded in 1990, and the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials. The indictment alleges the 67-year-old repeatedly solicited contributions from individuals and corporate donors to combat illiteracy and other causes, but then used the money for personal expenses.

A Jersey City man who police say molested a 7-year-old girl after breaking into a Jersey City apartment Sunday night made his first appearance in court. Tyrone Hatchett, 49, was charged with sexual assault and burglary in the case The mother of the 7-year-old told police that around 9:45 p.m. she noticed a rear door to her apartment open and heard movement coming from her daughter's bedroom. The mother said she went to her daughter's bedroom and found Hatchett in the room with his jeans off, but wearing, "green and white pajama pants," reports state. The mother told police she had met Hatchett a week earlier through her cousin, and he had in fact helped her move into the apartment, reports state. Fearful for her and her daughter's safety, the mother told police she ran to the kitchen and got a knife and returned to her daughter's room. The mother told police Hatchett said to her he didn't want any problems, and left the apartment, despite her attempts to keep him inside. The daughter told her mother that Hatchett "got on top of her," reports said. Marcel Walston, Marsha McGill and Robin Christopher McGill were also arrested and charged with hiding Hatchett from police in the apartment. 
The Baltimore man who was convicted of repeatedly raping a 13-year-old girl in a vacant home has been sentenced to life in prison. A city court judge Wednesday sentenced Alvin Ray Wright Sr. to four life terms, plus 25 years in prison for the attack. Wright grabbed the girl from behind while she was walking and pulled her into a nearby vacant house and pushed her down. Since there was no floor on the first level of the structure, the victim fell roughly six feet to the basement floor. When she landed on the basement floor, the victim's eyeglasses fell off and landed in debris. Wright followed. He beat her and threatened to kill her if she made a sound. He then alternated between raping her and ordering her to perform fellatio, three times each.
CLEVELAND -- The man who beat his former girlfriend with a hammer while their children slept across the hall has been sentenced to 14 years in jail. Seven months ago, John Whitfield locked his ex-girlfriend in her room, then went in with pepper spray and a hammer. He blinded her with the spray and then beat her repeatedly in the head with the hammer. He went before a judge and pleaded guilty. Cedric Eugene Cuthbert, who worked as a custodial manager at Port Orleans Resort and pastor at Historic St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church in Sanford, was arrested on charges of solicitation of a minor via computer and possession of material depicting sexual performance by a child.
IL – An Alton man is under arrest charged with tackling a firefighter. Police say Henry Jarrett tackled one of the firefighters as they started to head inside a house to save the only person who hadn’t escaped the flames. They say the force of the hit knocked the firefighter off the porch. The firefighter suffered back injuries from landing on his air tank. The man in the house suffered second degree burns. Jarrett is charged with aggravated battery.
HOUSTON—A man who did not like the relationships between blacks and the Jewish community threatened to blow up a synagogue, according to Houston police. Dante Phearse, 32, was charged with three counts of making a terroristic threats. Police said on April 30, Phearse called and made threats against the Beth Israel Jewish Synagogue. Phearse said that there were no white Jewish people, only black Jewish people, and said he was going to blow up the temple. He then called back and said that Jewish people were oppressing the black man and threatened to rape their women and children.

The victim would speak in a soft, but sure, voice as she described the December 2011 day that she says Rashad Hales forced his way into her home and attacked her. She would describe in detail how she was choked, beaten, strangled with a chord, and then raped. "He tells me to do what I do to my husband to satisfy him. And if he's not satisfied, he's going to kill me." 
Dayton police have arrested a man for the attempted sexual assault of a 56-year-old woman who was allegedly attacked at her home. The arrest was made shortly after 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. Detective Doug O’Quinn said that Dayton Police Department was able to quickly solve this case because the victim was able to identify her attacker from a photo line-up. The suspect is Kyle Antoine, 27, of Dayton, who has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation with the Intent to Commit a Sexual Assault. *

A man was arrested Monday after a rape victim and her alleged attacker sought treatment at the same hospital and the victim alerted police. According to police, Jeremy Jermell Staples, 23, of 1801 Welborn St. in High Point is charged with first-degree rape, common law robbery and assault by strangulation. He sexually assaulted a woman early Monday, said High Point Lt. Kevin Ray. 
Va. – A homeless woman was raped while inside of her tent in Woodbridge. Police said the victim was asleep at an homeless encampment in the area of Potomac Mills Road and Town Center Drive at when a man she knew entered the tent and raped her at 4:11 a.m. The man then fled the area and then turned himself into police a short time later. Anthony Eugene Wilson, 46, is charged with rape and forcible sodomy, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok. Wilson was held without bond and his court date was not released.
COLUMBIA, Mo. - The man accused of a rape at a University of Missouri dormitory pleaded guilty in court Monday. 47-year-old Marvin Jones pleaded guilty to charges of forcible sodomy and forcible rape for a 1999 rape. On October 16, 1999, the University of Missouri Police Department investigated a rape at the Gillett Residence Hall on campus. In November of last year, police said they had received a "significant lead" in the case from the Missouri State Highway Patrol's crime lab and arrested Jones. Jones was required by law to provide a genetic sample after a 2010 sexual misconduct conviction. In court Monday, the prosecution and defense recommended sentences to the judge. Prosecutor Dan Knight is requesting a life sentence for all three counts. That means Jones could be sentenced to up to 60 years in prison.
The man accused of raping a jogger in West Hartford is expected to be sentenced next week after being offered a plea deal that has outraged the victim. Eddie Monroig-Rosario is charged with first-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint, and second-degree strangulation in the October 2010 attack that happened in the front yard of a home on Fern Street. Monroig-Rosario is expected to receive 18 years in prison, according to Stephanie Blozy, who is the owner of Fleet Feet Sports in West Hartford and is also a friend of the victim. "He took our freedom and that deserves more than a two to three year sentence," said Blozy.
