Man Faces Murder Charge in Death * Picture of victim of Kansas City shooting found by NNN reader  KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Prosecutors on Friday charged a man in the shooting death of another man found dead in a car overnight. John Williams, 23, of Kansas City, Kan., faced a first-degree murder charge in the death of Jonathan R. Kidwell, 21, of Blue Springs, Mo.Kidwell's body was found in a car near 11th and Lafayette. Three Black Suspects in Germantown Stabbing of White Teenager Still At Large * Teenager Fatally Stabbed Near Party Montgomery County police continue to search for three suspects believed responsible for stabbing a teenager to death in Germantown this weekend. It happened early Sunday in the 22000 block of Canterfield Way. Police say when they arrived about 1:30 a.m., they found 18-year-old Ezekiel Babendreier in the street. He'd been stabbed at least once and died a short time later at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. The crime occurred in an upscale suburban neighborhood Police say all three suspects are young black men. The suspect seen with the knife is described as about 5'10" tall and 160 pounds. He is believed to be between 18 and 22 years old. Marcel accused of burning girlfriend Police say Marcel Tirado pinned his girlfriend against a wall and burned her with a knife for about hour. "Her right arm is pink skin… her left arm just deep cuts, bruises,” describes an acquaintance of the woman. During the attack, authorities say Tirado etched his name on her back and burned off her tattoo. "When our officers arrived they noticed numerous disfiguring burns on this women's back and this man's name, Marcel, clearly burned into the skin on her back. Rape Suspect Sought in Norfolk - for raping a 10-year old girl  Norfolk police are asking for the public's help in locating a suspect charged with raping a 10-year old girl early Wednesday morning. Officials say Charles Edward Bray, 43, is also charged with taking indecent liberties with a minor. According to authorities, the alleged incident happened around 1:30am at Bray's residence in the 800 block of Goff Street. Police say Bray and the girl were acquaintances. Bray, who is also known as "Bally" or "Egypt," is 6'2" tall and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and "KC" tattooed on his left arm. - (Svejk) |
Ionia rape suspect to be charged in Grand Rapids The man who police believe held a screwdriver to the throat of a 13-year-old Ionia girl as he raped her is expected to face additional criminal sexual conduct charges in Grand Rapids. James Buie, 41, will be charged in Kent County on six counts of criminal sexual conduct, one count of armed robbery and one felony firearm count, all of which stem from an incident that occurred in 2001. - (Svejk) |
Suspect Killed After Shooting 2 NOPD Officers, 2 Women A man was killed by police after he shot two women, then went to a nearby police station and shot two officers, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The shootings happened in about a 10-minute span Thursday night. It apparently started when the suspect, Russell Hughley, 33, went looking for his estranged girlfriend and their child and couldn't find them. Hughley went to the home of the woman's mother and shot her in the head and neck.

Sexual Assault Suspect In Custody CHICAGO A man wanted in connection with the brutal sexual assault of a teenager is now in police custody. No charges have been filed yet against the registered sex offender who was wanted in an attack on a 15-year-old girl in Tinley Park, police said. Officers picked up 31-year-old Antonio Williams near 88th and Bishops streets in Chicago late Friday night. Police had been looking for Williams following the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl earlier this week. Police say he may also be involved in another sexual assault that occurred last month. |
North Carolina Police link rape suspect Juan Carlos Martinez to violent gang Authorities are looking for 34-year-old Juan Carlos Martinez, who is accused of kidnapping and raping a 12-year-old girl at the Stony Point apartment complex in Mint Hill last month. The incident was the second time Martinez kidnapped and victimized the same girl, police say. They have also linked him to the violent MS 13 Street gang. - (Svejk) |

Santiago Faces Charges of Raping Runaway Teens 20-year old Jimmy Santiago faces charges that he raped young girls who had runaway in exchange for letting them stay with him. Prosecutors have filed charges now involving a second victim and are preparing to take their case to court in both cases. He faces several charges of sexual assault. Santiago was investigated after police say a 14-year old girl ran away from a group home and decided to stay at his trailer house. Tthe girl was required to sign a so-called 'contract' to stay there. Antwan Hall Convicted In Middletown Bar Rape  A Dayton man has been convicted of raping and beating a woman inside a Middletown bar.Antwan Hall could get up to 58 years in prison on the rape, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and felonious assault charges. WGNU Radio Host Charged With Murdering Woman A St. Louis radio talk show host is charged with murdering a young woman. Leonardo Drisdel, 46, is accused of beating, cutting and biting Cassandra Kovack, 28. Drisdel told his wife he was doing drugs with Kovack Saturday night when he heard voices that told him to attack her. Kovack's body was found Sunday. Condemned Killer Challenges Tenn. Method Tenn. -- A condemned killer is challenging Tennessee's method of lethal injection, calling it an illogical process in part because it includes a drug forbidden in the euthanasia of animals. A lawyer for Abu-Ali Abdur Rahman, (formerly James Lee Jones), 54, will argue before the state Supreme Court on Wednesday. Abdur'Rahman is asking the court to order the state's Department of Corrections to revise the way executions are conducted. This man of "mixed African American and Native American" descent has been on Tennessee’s death row for the past 16 years for the murder of Patrick Daniels. |

Man wanted for dragging cop is arrested  Cops were looking for 26 year old Darrin Wilkerson in connection with the incident. The officer pulled over a black Nissan Altima in Queens Village. During the traffic stop, the driver of the car pulled away, dragging the cop with him. The officer was cut on the back of his head and was briefly hospitalized. Tip leads to Queens hit-and-run arrest That night, police found Wilkerson's car, which was being driven by a woman, Krystal Washington, 20, who police believe to be Wilkerson's girlfriend, had been in the car when the dragging incident happened. - (The Bobster) |

A man robbed a woman at a Wachovia ATM in Raleigh Saturday afternoon, the Raleigh Police Department reported. The victim was at the Wachovia bank on Western Boulevard when the suspect approached her, as she was withdrawing money from the bank's drive-through ATM. The suspect told her to drive away, and then withdrew money from her account. The suspect is described as having a thin build and wearing jeans and a gray-hooded sweatshirt. He may have a scruffy beard, and is in his 20s or 30s. -
Rodericus Escaleras Williams, 27, has been charged with murder and placed in the Forsyth County Detention Center, according to a statement from law enforcement officials. Wayne Covington Jr. was charged with murder in March and is awaiting trial. On Oct. 30, deputies arrived at the scene and found the deceased body of 
Iowa -- The County Attorney filed a third-degree sexual abuse charge against Iowa prisoner Cecil Smith. On May 17, a 17-year-old resource center resident said a man did something wrong to her, and medical tests confirmed it. The detective said that Smith confessed. The detective said given the teen's mental state, she could not have consented to what happened.
