Black cop-killer to be featured speaker at Jackson City Hall for Black History Month    Republic of New Afrika terrorist Imari Obadele was convicted in the death of a Jackson police officer nearly 25 years ago. Next week he will speak inside city hall. Imari Obadele was invited by black Councilman Kenneth Stokes to speak at a black history program Tuesday, and his appearance is causing quite a stir. The scene was chaotic in August of 1971 hours after Jackson police officer William Louis Skinner was gunned down during a house raid. Police and FBI agents were serving an arrest warrant. Inside were members of the Republic of New Afrika , a separatist militant group. Twenty-six-year JPD vet Jimmy King was nearby. "It was quiet all of a sudden; sounded like a small war going on," said King. "You just didn't lose an officer like that. It was very traumatic," Black stated. In 1972, RNA president Imari Obadele along with several others was found guilty in the killing of Skinner. He served less than six years. On February 1st Obadele will stand inside Jackson City Hall in front of an audience to talk about the RNA eleven. Cat Hair Leads To Charges In Murder Of White Contractor by Black carpet installer   KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Cat hair helped investigators bring charges against a Kansas City man in the murder of a self-employed contractor last year. Henry Lee Polk is accused of first-degree murder and armed-criminal action in the death of Stephen M. Nolte.

Body of White girl abducted by black beast found shot to death  19-year-old college student Megan Leann Holden has been found shot to death after the suspect and truck had earlier been located in Phoenix Arizona. The suspect Johnny Lee Williams turned up in Phoenix hospital in need of emergency treatment for a gun shot wound. On Wednesday a Wal-Mart cashier went missing. Friday security tapes were release showing Police that she was kidnapped by a man driving a pick-up truck. "It's a black male, 5'6" to 5'8", approximately 140-145 lbs., 20-25 years old. Femesha Foster Sentenced To 20 Years putting rat poison in her White boss's soda to cover up her embezzlement  A Miami woman received a 20-year prison sentence for putting rat poison in her boss's soda to cover up her embezzlement. Femesha Foster is almost at the end of a five-year prison sentence for grand theft. The Judge sentenced her to 20 years in prison, minus the time she has already served. Foster was found guilty of poisoning for dropping the toxic mix into optometrist Mark Caruso's drink. Foster worked as a technician for Caruso at a Wal-Mart store. Champion Cop-Killer Pleads Guilty  The man accused of killing a Des Moines police officer has pleaded guilty in Seattle to first-degree murder in a plea bargain to avoid a possible death penalty. Charles Champion, 22, will be sentenced Jan. 5 in King County Superior Court. Champion initially was charged with aggravated murder in theMarch 2001 shooting that took the life of Officer Steven Underwood. He was killed after he radioed he was stopping Champion and three others on Pacific Highway South. - (Gman)

Reward Offered For Missing 5-Year-Old - Emily Rimel Disappeared Dec. 7  COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There is another plea from a Franklin County family to help find a missing 5-year-old girl. Emily Rimel disappeared from her Madison Township apartment in the early morning hours of Dec. 7. Dispite a widespread search effort, she has not been seen or heard from since. Police arrested Lindsey Bruce, 23, and charged him with raping the girl. There is a $12,000 reward for information that leads to Emily's whereabouts. Two blacks held in 1970 killing of White officer    Two men indicted in connection with a 34-year-old ambush killing of St. Paul police officer James Sackett were arrested.. Authorities are hopeful that the charges against Ronald Reed and Larry Clark will help them close the only unsolved police killing in St. Paul. Sackett, 27, was fatally shot in an ambush May 22, 1970. He had been on the force for 18 months and was working his first shift after the birth of his fourth child, who was three weeks old at the time. Authorities identified Reed as a black militant. A social worker testified that she saw posters in Trimble's apartment that advocated killing "pigs" and "whitey." - (Brewski) |
Black brutally pistol-whips and carjacks White 69-year-old nun  Sister Margaret Faherty was pistol-whipped and pummeled just before 7 a.m. when she failed to surrender her car fast enough to the lowlife. She suffered a broken nose, bruises and cuts to her face but was thankfully was not sexually assaulted. Shots fired at South Bend Police officer  South Bend Police are investigating the attempted murder of one of their own. Around 2 AM Sunday in the 800 block of North Blane Street, South Bend Officer Scott Severns tried to arrest 22-year-old Floyd Jordan for allegedly threatening neighbors. Jordan reportedly ran into an alley then shot-at Officer Severns four times. Officer Severns fired back but luckily, no one was hit. Jordan was arrested after a foot chase and faces a charge of attempted murder. - (Brewski) |
19-Year-Old Accused In Shooting Of New Orleans Police Commander   New Orleans police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the shooting of the 4th District Police Commander. Edward Patterson, no known address, was booked with attempted murder of a police officer and resisting arrest. Patterson was on probation for possession of crack cocaine. Capt. Louis Dabdoub was on patrol just after noon when he saw what he thought was a possible truant riding a bicycle. When Dabdoub tried to stop him, the bicyclist pulled a gun from his waistband and fired, hitting the police commander in the leg. Dabdoub returned fire, but the gunman fled into some nearby woods. - (Gman) |
Police Identify Suspect In Officer's Shooting Death  Police said Saturday that they have a suspect following Thursday's murder of a Columbus police officer. Authorities are searching for Daryl Martez Lawrence who was receiving treatment at the Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., Friday night. Police are calling Lawrence a suspect following Thursday's shooting death of Columbus police Officer Bryan Hurst. He was killed during a robbery at Fifth-Third Bank . Hurst, 33, was working special duty at the bank when a man in a ski mask tried to rob it. The robber was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with the officer. - (Rasp)

Local attorneys can't try Titusville slaying case - Suspect's mother is a staffer for prosecutor's office   Prosecutors from outside Brevard County will handle the case of a man accused of beating his girlfriend to death over 11 hours because the man's mother works for the Brevard County State Attorney's Office. The State Attorney said he petitioned Gov. Jeb Bush for permission to assign the case to be handled in Brevard by an attorney from another county, as he did when Gregory McGruder, 25, previously was accused of beating the same victim, Amanda Ratliff, 20. Police said McGruder used a beer bottle, a table leg and a vacuum cleaner during a daylong beating apparently prompted by Ratliff's attempt to flee their relationship. - (forum) |
Governor Commutes Convicted Black Murderer's Death Sentence  Gov. Joe Kernan granted clemency to a man convicted of murdering a minister in 1978 and incarcerated on Indiana's death row longer than anyone else. Kernan, acted just three days before his term as governor ends. He granted clemency to Michael Daniels, who will stay in prison for the rest of his life without the possibility of parole, the governor's office said. Daniels was convicted of killing White Army chaplain Allan Streett in a $1 robbery as he shoveled snow from his driveway with his then 15-year-old son. Mother Thinks Daughter Was Slain In Black Satanic Ritual  The mother of a slain teenage girl from Ashland says her daughter may have been the victim of a satanic ritual. Police say Amanda Maynard, 15, died after her neighbor, Kenneth Ray O'Neal, Jr., 19, broke in her home, stabbed and sexually assaulted her on New Year's Day. Maynard was home alone, when neighbors reported a disturbance at the home about 3 a.m. Saturday morning. Maynard had been stabbed multiple times and sexually assaulted. Maynard's mother said O'Neal had been listening to "satanic" music, referring to sexual acts involving a knife prior to the killing. O'Neal was a member of the area's "gothic community". |

Tammy Edrington said she expected her daughter, Amanda R. Maynard, to be picked up later by a friend. A neighbor, Kenneth R. O'Neal Jr., 19, has been charged with sexually assaulting and murdering Maynard early Saturday at her home.

Emory Carter set a church on fire eight years ago during a black race riot - on Friday he was sent to prison for murder of a White  Eight years ago, Emory Carter set fire to a church during a night of disturbances in St. Petersburg. After Carter wrote a letter of apology, church leaders forgave him and persuaded a judge to spare him from prison. Carter, now 25, was back in court Friday, this time for sentencing in the vicious killing of Mike Kelley during a robbery in St. Petersburg. Carter was not the sorry young man he was after the church fire. He was foul-mouthed and angry. He berated the victim's family, cursed at the judge and asked for the death penalty. "You shut up. F--- you," Carter yelled at Judge Brandt Downey during the sentencing. "Give me my sentence so I can get the f--- out of your ugly face." At one point, Carter spit toward Downey and called him a "filthy dog." "Shut your mouth, b----," Carter yelled at the sister of his victim.. Willard Brown Pleads Guilty In Kidnap-Rape-Murder of White Woman   A man pleaded guilty Thursday to the 1984 murder of newspaper copy editor Deborah Sykes -- a case which saw another black man spend nearly two decades in prison. Willard E. Brown pleaded guilty in Forsyth Superior Court. In exchange for the guilty plea, Brown faces life in prison. He could be eligible for parole in 20 years. Darryl Hunt, the man wrongly convicted, was released from prison a year ago and was exonerated in February after DNA testing linked Brown to the crime. Two blacks who raped and murdered a White medical student sentenced in 1986 murder - (warning: goofy audio at link)   The two black men who raped and murdered White medical student Lori Roscetti 18 years ago are going to prison. DNA evidence linked the men to the 1986 murder and today Duane Roach and Eddie Harris pleaded guilty to the Roscetti murder. Lori Roscetti was a 23-year-old medical student at Rush University in 1986. On October 17th, 1986, she was abducted at knifepoint, sexually assaulted and beaten to death. Investigators say every bone in Roscetti's face had been broken and on her body they found fingerprints and pubic hairs belonging to Roach and Harris, as well as their DNA. | National Media Ignores Black-on-White Racial Hate Crime Black man charged with kidnap-rape-murder of White School Teacher Texas -- Friends, family and students of teacher Diane Tilly reminisced about the slain woman's spirit and joy as she was laid to rest Saturday. An Alamo Heights teacher was raped, abducted and shot to death   before her body was buried in a field in northeast Bexar County. The affidavit revealed that Pearl Ann Cruz, 15, and her father, Ronnie Neal, 33, allegedly teamed up to kill Dianne Tilly, 58, whose remains were discovered in a field in northeast Bexar County. Cruz allegedly set the violence in motion by knocking on Tilly's door the night of Nov. 22., asking the teacher if she could use her phone because her car had broken down.

Dark suspect in savage rape-murder of White Co-ed dies after sucessful suicide in prison  The man charged with killing a UNC-Wilmington student died after leaping off a staircase onto a hard floor at a prison in an apparent suicide attempt. Curtis Dixon, 21, broke away from a correction officer Wednesday night, ran to the top of a cell block staircase and leaped headfirst to the concrete floor about three levels below.

Southeast Slayings Suspect Caught in La. MONROE, La. -- A man wanted in Georgia and South Carolina in connection with two killings, a rape and an armed robbery was captured after crashing his stolen car during a police chase, authorities said. Tobias Chano "Toby" Lee, 28, had just gotten off Interstate 20 Tuesday afternoon after a Louisiana state trooper signaled him to pull over for following another vehicle too closely, police said. As the trooper approached the car, Lee sped away, leading to a chase at speeds as high as 90 mph, said Trooper Julie Lewis. Mother can't understand why black robber beat and cracked skull of her 97-lb daughter  CLEVELAND -- The mother of a 27-year-old Medina woman beaten during a robbery can't understand why the suspect did it. "She's 97 pounds, five feet tall and he's over six feet, 210 pounds," said Betty Townsend. "And he could have scared her just by looking at her. That's what's so awful to me. Why did he have to hit her so hard?" Her daughter, Missy Townsend, is one of two women from Medina County recovering from head injuries after they were beaten during robberies on the same night, possibly victims of the same man. Townsend's skull was badly fractured last week by a man who attacked her outside the Medina apartment she shares with her mother. The attacker took her purse and cell phone. and murder of Rhonda Ward,
a local convenience store clerk. The Judge set the execution for Jan.
19. The execution will likely be delayed for years while the case
moves through the appeals process. Ward's nude body was found in an apple
orchard. Two days earlier, Evins took Ward from her job at Cigarettes
4 Less , sexually assaulted her and stabbed her a dozen times in her arms
and chest. He used the money he stole from her to fund a drug binge.

Black guilty of Dumpster murder of his White 16-year-old ex-girlfriend   Jurors convicted 16-year-old Rocky Almestica of second-degree murder in the death of his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend, Emily Clemons. The defense's strategy was to convince the jury that putting Clemons in a Dumpster after she was beaten did not kill her. Coral Eugene Watts, 51, was found guilty of stabbing 36-year-old Helen Dutcher to death in a Detroit suburb in 1979. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole. Danny Hopkins gets "5 to 15" free room and board for manslaughter of White woman  Convicted of manslaugher in fatal high speed accident sentenced to 5 to 15 years. He was also found guilty of leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and speeding. 26-year-old Lindsay Kyle was killed in the accident. DNA Evidence Leads To Arrest In Bible Store Killings  Prosecutors charged a man in a double murder at a Raytown Bible bookstore last month. Kellen C. McKinney, 27, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action in the deaths of John Caylor, 79, and his wife, Mildred, 76. A customer who had gone to the Caylor's Bible and Book Store noticed the door to the business was locked and looked through a window and saw a body on the floor. Fired employee charged in Arby's killings  A fired fast-food restaurant worker in West Milwaukee has been charged with first-degree murder of two co-workers in a robbery that netted about $2,500. James Walker was fired from his job at the Arby's five days before the slayings. He allegedly promised a former co-worker $500 to help him rob the restaurant. Michael Reit, 20, was charged with being an accomplice and was expected to testify against Walker who dragged Nicole Joslyn and Alan Lowrie into the freezer and executed them. Black gets 25 years for rape of an 85-year-old White woman in nursing home  Police say an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient was attacked in her room at the nursing home back in November of last year. Police have arrested and charged 31-year-old Kevin Arceneaux with aggravated sexual assault. Deputies Search for Two Black I-20 Shooting Suspects  Investigators with the Richland County Sheriff's Department are looking for two people who shot and killed a Columbia mother and injured her three-year-old son on October 17th on Interstate 20 in Richland County. Twenty-year-old Stephanie Dover died in the shooting that happened in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 17th. Her three-year-old son was shot in the leg but survived. Another child and Dover's fiance, Gene Derrick, were not injured - (only severally traumatized). Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a dark colored Chevrolet or GMC step-side short bed pick-up truck. The driver is a black male, with a possible small afro. Prosecutor urges death penalty for black for rape, murder of 14-year-old white girl  SAN DIEGO - A man "crossed the line" and deserves the death penalty for kidnapping, raping and killing a 14-year-old girl in 1986, a prosecutor said. George Williams Jr., 49, was convicted of first-degree murder, rape, kidnapping and special circumstance allegations that the murder of Rickie Blake happened during a rape and kidnapping. Her body was found the next day, along the side of the road near a freeway offramp. "He is simply a pedophile," Dusek told the jury. "That's the way he's wired. Because he likes kids. He likes sex with little kids. That's what he enjoys." Dusek told the jurors they could consider past criminal conduct by Williams, including the 1981 rape of a 15-year-old girl which the defendant got away with; the 1984 molestation of his 6-year-old daughter to which he pleaded guilty; the 1985 rape of a 20-year-old woman in Oakland that he got away with; the rape of a 24-year-old woman and the rape of her 6-year-old daughter one week after he killed Blake; and the sodomizing of a 13-year-old male family member after the defendant got out of prison in 1998. Black Jamaican migrant wanted in Motel 6 killing of White woman found with throat slashed  Police said they hope a new clue will help them solve a killing at Motel 6 in King of Prussia, Pa. Anna Nicole Fowler was found bound, blindfolded and gagged at the motel Wednesday morning. They are looking for Patrick Alexi McCarthy to question in the matter. | Arrest Made In Execution-Style Triple Murder Bodies Found In House Near Ohio State University     COLUMBUS, Ohio -- An arrest was made Saturday in the execution-style murder of three people whose bodies were found in a house near the Ohio State University campus last year. Columbus police announced that SWAT teams raided a home and arrested Vernon L. Spence, 30, of Columbus. Spence was charged with three counts of aggravated murder. Spence was allegedly connected to the shooting deaths through evidence recovered at the scene and other information. Two other people were arrested along with Spence on federal charges, but they have not been charged in connection with the murders. Investigators believe Ohio State student Kayla Hurst, 21, and Aaron Grexa, 23, and Erik Hlass, 22, were shot sometime during the night of July 22, 2003, or early the next morning. - (Border Ruffian) - SLIDESHOW: Images Of Victims |

Authorities said DNA evidence linked him to the murders of seven women between April 1998 and March 2003 and the assault of a nurse who is expected to testify that Lee tried to rape and kill her.The judge said he would try to find local residents who can give an unbiased verdict of whether Lee beat and stabbed 22-year-old Charlotte Murray Pace in a violent struggle throughout her home. Pace was killed May 31, 2002. Her partially clothed body was found in her roommate's bedroom and she had been slashed, beaten and stabbed 81 times with a flathead screwdriver and a knife. Suspect in murder of seven-month-pregnant white girl arrested in NYC   David Wayne Bell, 18, was arrested and held in the Bronx on several arrest warrants including robbery, assault, larceny and attempted kidnapping charges. Bell is "a person of interest" in connection with the murder of Fay Bennett. She was found stabbed to death. Found with Bell was Jennifer Helmedech.
