For second time in a week, illegal immigrant accused of hit-and-run
  RALEIGH -- Federal immigration officials say a second illegal immigrant suspected of causing a serious wreck this week will not be allowed out of jail. Earlier this week, the news covered the return of Efren Roblero to the streets of Wake County. Roblero is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that injured two people over the weekend. He managed to post his $75,000 bond and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials approved his release from jail. Now, another illegal immigrant, Antonio Arellano, is accused of hit-and-run causing serious injury, driving without a license, and reckless driving. "Just looked up and there's a truck coming head on. I tried to swerve to avoid it, and there was nothing I could do," said Stephanie Johnson. Johnson, who suffered a lacerated liver, a broken wrist and ribs, and a compound fracture to her left leg, can't believe anyone could walk away from a crash and leave someone badly injured. "I know he heard me screaming for help," said Johnson. "That's all. That's all I ever remember saying, 'Help me. Get me out of this car.'"

WYANDOTTE COUNTY, KS - A man has been charged in the shooting death of a 22-year-old woman whose body was found in a car June 30. Wyandotte County court records show that Antione Fielder, 27, was charged with first-degree murder, intentional and premeditated. He was booked into the Wyandotte County Detention Center on Wednesday. Kelsey K. Ewonus, 22, of Overland Park was found shot to death in her car at Francis and Bristow streets. A 21-year-old woman fought off a rape attempt by a fellow student who burst into her private study room at the Hunter College library. The alleged victim was reading alone at around 7:15 p.m. Monday in a room she had reserved when the man came in and asked for directions to the bathroom. When she looked up, he exposed himself and then pounced on her, but she was able to push him off, the sources said. When she snapped pictures of him as he fled, he charged back, bit her, took her phone and ran off. A suspect, Kareem Royes, 25 — was arrested at his Bronx home — because he reportedly used his own student ID to enter the Upper East Side library and was captured on library video. Royes, a married father of a 4-year-old girl and a licensed taxi driver with a prior arrest for exposing himself on the subway, was held in lieu of $60,000 bond on charges of second-degree robbery and public lewdness. 
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man is accused of raping a woman in his home, our news partners at the Independent Tribune reported. Police charged Anthony Jenkins Jr. with second-degree rape after they said he held a Charlotte woman against her will at his home on Lakewood Drive Friday and raped her. Jenkins is out of jail on bond.
Lynnwood Police arrested a man who confessed to several recent assaults of women, including one woman at Edmonds Community College. The suspect confessed to these incidents, as well as several other incidents that had not been reported to the Lynnwood Police Department. In three of the incidents — on June 23, June 29 and June 30 — the suspect approached lone women who were on the street and assaulted them by grabbing their buttocks and then walked or ran away. The suspect also confessed to an earlier incident at Edmonds Community College, which occurred on May 13, in which a woman had been assaulted by the suspect, who grabbed her chest as she walked across the campus. The suspect, a black male in his 20s, has been booked at the Lynnwood Jail on four counts of fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation. 
A Detroit man who was sentenced last week to 23 to 50 years in prison for raping a Roseville woman in her apartment faces a new charge of sexually assaulting a county jail inmate with another man. Marshawn Grafton, 26, received the punishment from Judge Jennifer Faunce after he was convicted by a jury in April of two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree home invasion, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony for the March 2013 incident. The sentencing came after Grafton was accused of digitally raping a male inmate in the Macomb County Jail while awaiting sentencing in the Roseville case. He and his co-defendant, Lamichael Warfield, 30, of Garden City, allegedly threw a sheet over the victim, forced him into a cell and shaved hair from part of his chest and stomach before Grafton anally raped him, according to prosecutors.
A convicted sex offender accused of a list of new crimes ranging from sex trafficking to rape and holding his victims prisoner is free tonight. GREENSBURG – The man accused of robbing and beating an elderly woman during home invasion in Westmoreland County has been found guilty on all counts. Gregory Howard, 47, of Monessen, was convicted Thursday evening by a jury on charges stemming from the violent home invasion last fall in Rostraver. Howard did not say anything after the verdict was handed down. He represented himself during the three-day trial; however, when asked by the judge after the conviction if he wanted a lawyer to help in his appeal of the verdict, he said “yes.” Howard was one of three men arrested following the October 2014 home invasion-robbery. The then-91-year-old victim was robbed and roughed up by the three suspects who pretended to be furniture delivery men. The trio made off with cash and jewelry. In the hushed courtroom when the verdict was read was the victim, 
CHARLOTTE, NC - There are serious concerns at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) after a man shot a female hotel clerk for no apparent reason. Police are calling it a random act of violence, but it may be more than that. "This thing has really got the public disturbed," said CMPD Officer Tori Roddey. There is surveillance video from the Drury Inn on 415 West W.T. Harris Boulevard which shows a thin young man, dressed in camouflage shorts and matching Chicago Bulls hat with a bright red shirt, walking into the hotel office. Immediately, he pulled out a handgun and shot the hotel clerk in the chest. "Thank God it went straight through her shoulder area," Officer Roddey said. "A few inches down and she could have been in trouble." After shooting her, the gunman ran out of the hotel, and never tried to rob the place. So why did he walk in and shoot her? Was there some sort of connection between the two? "From what we've gathered so far, there's no connection," Roddey said. Oddly, this same man was seen actually robbing the Rodeway Inn on West Sugar Creek just 40 minutes earlier. He pulled his gun, but didn't use it. Quietly, police sources say this may have been a gang initiation since the shooter was wearing red, a notorious gang color. 
ALBUQUERQUE – The Albuquerque Police Department has arrested a man they say caused the death of 27-year-old Tomorio Walton. Walton was shot and killed by a former CNN reporter during a robbery. Walton was violating his parole out of Memphis, Tennessee. Walton’s alleged accomplice, Skyy Durrell Barrs, was arrested Thursday. EUSTIS — A 32-year-old Eustis man faces three charges after he reportedly groped his roommate and shook his private parts at her, police said. Gregory Atkins was charged with battery, exposure of sexual organs and resisting arrest. He remains in the Lake County jail in lieu of $3,000 bond. A woman told police she had moved into a Eustis Street apartment with Atkins and a female roommate only a couple of days ago when he came into her bedroom, grabbed her buttocks and said, “You know I want you.” He then acted like he was leaving before turning around and waving his sexual organ at her, an arrest affidavit states.
NIAGARA FALLS, NY -- Police have arrested a man for trying to rape a 67-year-old woman in Niagara Falls. According to police, on July 3rd, Anthony Brinson broke into the woman's house and attempted to rape her over the course of three hours. Brinson eventually left the house and the victim was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation. While detectives collected evidence from the scene, they found a Master Card and a New York State Benefit Card with Brinson's name and photo.

A man posing on the Internet as a woman offered his massage services to an undercover cop, police said. Lantana police arrested Dwayne Brandon, 24, on Monday. Police said the undercover officer connected with Brandon via Backpage.com, a website popular among escort services. Brandon advertised himself as a woman named "Mistress Creammy Juicy," according to the arrest report. The officer on Monday called the number listed and talked to Brandon, who agreed to meet him at the Super 8 Motel. Brandon encouraged the officer to take off his clothes so Brandon could perform a massage, according to the report. 
AUSTIN – Police say a naked woman attacked two people at a North Austin apartment pool in late June. One woman was pushed and held under water, and another was hit with a rock, according to an arrest warrant filed Thursday. Police say Morgan Areshchenko, 31, arrived nude at her apartment complex pool on North Hills Drive near MoPac. One woman already at the pool with her two children allegedly asked Areshchenko to put on some clothes. And that’s when Areshchenko allegedly responded by pushing the woman in the pool, jumping in after her, holding her head under water by her neck, and punching her. After dunking and punching the one woman, police said Areshchenko threw a 3- to 5-inch-wide stone at the employee who was running away.
