- Bronx woman followed home, sexually assaulted by black
 NEW YORK -- Police are hoping surveillance video will lead to the arrest of a sexual predator in the Bronx. Detectives say this man followed a woman from 170th Street and the Grand Concourse to her apartment around 5 Saturday morning. He then sexually assaulted her in the building lobby and ran away. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20's, approx. 6'0" in height, 170lbs, with black hair (Shoulder length dreadlocks) and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and a gray baseball hat. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

- Black solicits high-school girl for sex
 The daily walk to school turned into an all out sprint as a teen had to run from a man trying to solicit her for sex, police say.
Carlton Wicks, 45, is charged with one count of solicitation of a minor.
According to an affidavit of complaint, the 17-year-old girl was walking to Hamilton High school at 7:30 a.m. Thursday when Wicks came out of his house and asked her, "What's your name baby, I'm looking for a friend?"
She told him she was not interested and he allegedly started to follow her, saying, "Come on baby, these twenties about to jump outta my pocket. You know you wanna get them! Come on in my house with me."
The teen took off running to school and told the school resource officer, who found Wicks at the corner of Wilson Street and East Person Avenue.

Milwaukee black charged in connection with attack on White firefighter
  46-year-old Rozono Henley of Milwaukee was charged on Wednesday, October 2nd in connection with an incident at the Engine 16 fire house on Fond du Lac Ave. Henley faces two criminal charges including burglary (armed) and battery to a law enforcement officer, use of a dangerous weapon. Henley entered the Engine 16 fire house early Saturday, September 28th. Capt. Dan Nikolaus indicated between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., he was awakened “by the noise of someone shaking window blinds on the window of his office.” He stated that he had left the window open, but that there had been a window screen intact on the window and the blinds were down when he went to sleep. He went back to sleep, and was awakened again about a half hour later, again by the noise of the blinds shaking, and he got up at that time intending to close the window. He then saw a subject, later identified as the defendant, standing facing the window, moving the blinds. When Nikolaus confronted the defendant, the defendant became combative, and “a struggle ensued between Nikolaus and the defendant.” The complaint indicates during the struggle, Henley “shouted words to the effect of ‘Take this,’ or ‘How’s this?’ and Capt. Nikolaus felt two sharp stabs to his upper back. Nikolaus then noticed that a broken knife was on the floor next to them.” - (Black-on-white) |

- Rape suspect held without bail
 LOWELL - With golf-ball sized lumps on his head and cuts on his face, a 46-year-old Lawrence man still wearing a hospital gown was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing after a woman told Tewksbury police that Frank Harrison tried to rape her at knifepoint so she defended herself by repeatedlyhitting him on the head with a cooking pan.

- Rape suspect court appearance rescheduled
 MEMPHIS, TN - - The man who Memphis police say raped a woman behind a church is now behind bars on a $250,000 bond. Warren Smith is charged with aggravated rape, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. According to police reports, the alleged assault happened early Friday morning behind Broadmoor Baptist Church on Austin Peay Highway in Raleigh. That is where the victim told investigators she was hit, kicked, and choked before being raped. Afterward, the victim says the rapist threatened her life if she went to police. She was later treated at a nearby rape crisis center.

- Black Man Jumps Into Car, Rapes Teen in Lot
 The search is on for a man who Philadelphia Police say sexually assaulted a girl after forcing her at gunpoint to drive to a vacant lot last week. Special Victims Unit investigators released a composite sketch Monday of the armed man who they say jumped into a woman’s car while she was stopped at a light in the city’s Logan section Tuesday night. He then forced her to drive to a grassy lot about a mile and a half away on the 5900 block of North 21st Street in Olney. Police say the man then pulled the girl from her car and raped her before running off northbound on 21st

- NJ Black to Serve 40+ Years for Halloween Sex Assault
 A northern New Jersey man convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman on Halloween night four years ago has been sentenced to 50 years in prison. Donald Andrews, whose last known address was in Bernards, must serve more than 42 years before becoming eligible for parole. Union County prosecutors say the victim had traveled to Elizabeth to meet with friends but became separated from them in an area that was unfamiliar to her. When she asked passers-by for directions to the train station, the 43-year-old Andrews offered her a ride. But instead of taking her to the station, he drove to a desolate area and pulled the woman from the truck.

- South Dallas rape suspect charged with aggravated robberies
 The man suspected in a series of rapes during the summer in South Dallas has now been charged with seven counts of aggravated robbery. The five sexual assault and seven aggravated robbery charges against Van Dralan Dixson all come from the same incidents — June 30, two women on Aug. 20, Aug. 30 and Sept. 1. Police say Dixson robbed the women — and one of the women’s two children — at gunpoint before the attacks. Dixson took cash, cellphones and credit cards from the women, according to arrest warrant affidavits.

It has also emerged that suspect Jonathan Stewart, who was arrested nearby, attempted suicide in the lockup at Manhattan Criminal Court as he waited to face charges. The 21-year-old woman asked him: 'How can you do this? Don't you have a mother and sister?' She claims her attacker then looked at her and replied: 'They're dead. Shut up.'

- Altus Police Investigating Rape at Party
 ALTUS Okla_ Altus police are investigating a sexual assault that was reported in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 28. The victim told police she was at a party at 601 West Commerce in Altus. She went into a bedroom to sleep and was later awakened by a man who was committing the sexual assault against her. The victim and witnesses identified the suspect as 18-year-old Knighe Rhoden. Rhoden was interviewed by police and later arrested on charges of first degree rape. Rhoden is being held at the Jackson County Jail. We'll keep you updated.

- Neighbors rally around convicted sex offender facing new accusations
 MEMPHIS, TN - - A convicted sex offender is accused of exposing himself to two teens walking to school Monday morning, but his neighbors are rallying around him in a show of support. Danny Waller is charged with indecent exposure. Memphis police say two teens on the way to Douglass High School saw Waller standing in the glass storm door of his house, watching them as they passed by, while exposing and touching himself. Waller is on the sex offender registry after an October 28, 2004 conviction for attempted rape of a child.

2 black teens charged in death of 54-year-old White man
   TACOMA, Wash. — Two teenagers now face charges of robbery and murder in connection with the Aug. 31 death of 54-year-old Lawrence Howse outside his Tacoma condominium. Andrew Boyd, 18, and Jeremy Bennett, 17, pleaded not guilty during their arraignment in the Pierce County Superior Courtroom on Friday. Boyd's bail was set at $3 million and Bennett's at $2 million. The two are accused of following Howse as he pulled into a secure parking lot at Sky Terrace condominiums, in Tacoma's Stadium district, where he was robbed and shot to death. The two remained the subject of a police manhunt until their arrest on Thursday. - (Black-on-white) |

- 4 people charged in connection with murder of Tacoma man
In addition to Boyd and Bennett, Titeana Bankston, 20, and Jheri Flood, 24, are charged with rendering criminal assistance on suspicion of helping hide and destroy evidence following the murder. Unrelated to the murder of Howse, Jaron Bennett, Jeremy's 24-year-old brother and a convicted felon, is charged with robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm. According to the Prosecutor's Office, he helped Boyd in the Walgreens robbery that eventually led to the arrests.

A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the caught-on-camera assault of a 23-year-old woman working behind the counter at a Lakewood gas station.
Kendrick Ruth, 35, was found and arrested as he left a Long Beach motel, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lakewood Station officials said in a news release.
Surveillance footage from the gas station shows the Long Beach resident allegedly punching Yadira Lara, 23, in the face on Sept. 7 over a cigar that cost less than $2.
Authorities said Ruth tried to pay for the $1.41 Swisher Sweet cigar with only a $1 bill.
When Lara refused to give him the cigar, Ruth allegedly punched her between her eyes and left with the cigar in his pocket, officials said. - (Black-on-white)

A man accused of stealing some items from a home was charged with burglary based on what he left behind. Charles Marqull Williams, 20, was charged Wednesday with first-degree burglary in Oklahoma County District Court. On Jan. 23, 2012, a burglary was reported at 1509 SE 47 Place. The burglar apparently relieved himself in a toilet, leaving behind unflushed feces and a used piece of toilet paper on the floor, according to the probable cause affidavit. A DNA test on the toilet paper matched Williams, the affidavit states.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Julius Graham, a 43-year-old homeless man who appeared to be emotionally disturbed, was taken into custody after the stabbing incident. The wife of a deacon accused of gunning down a pastor during a church service had filed a rape complaint against the preacher two days before he was fatally shot, a Louisiana sheriff said today. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Tony Mancuso said investigators are trying to determine whether the deacon's wife had a consensual relationship with the pastor or if she had been the vicitim of an assault. Investigators charged a Mid-South minister for spreading HIV. Minister Rodney Carr faces a class C felony, which is a conviction punishable with significant prison time. Carr is scheduled for trial in December in criminal court from a July 2012 arrest on accusations that he had sex with a girlfriend but did not tell her he was HIV positive. She found out only after they broke up when she tested positive. According to an affidavit of complaint, Carr tested positive for HIV in 2005. He had knowledge of his status and the exposure law. His wife died three years ago. University of Memphis police arrested Carr in October 2011 for allegedly threatening another man with a gun during an argument over a woman. He got diversion, but he was charged with violating his probation after his arrest on the HIV charge.
An Oklahoma City man has been arrested in the death of his puppy. Officers said they responded to the 800 block of North Ellison Avenue Friday around 5:30 p.m. in connection with a disturbance call. According to police, Tyrone Darrell Webb, 34, slammed his puppy on the sidewalk. Investigators say Webb cursed at a neighbor who confronted him, and went back inside his house. The puppy died a few minutes later, and the neighbor put it in a box while waiting for officers to arrive, police said. According to investigators, Webb was wearing a toy mixed martial arts-style belt when officers approached him. When asked where he got the belt, Webb reportedly told police he won it by "defeating dogzilla." Webb was arrested on one complaint of cruelty to animals.
