BLACK Pastor Wants Presidents’ Names Removed From Washington, Jackson Parks Over Ties To Slavery CHICAGO — A Chicago pastor has asked the Emanuel administration to remove the names of two presidents who owned slaves from parks on the South Side, saying the city should not honor slave owners in black communities. A bronze statue of George Washington on horseback stands at the corner of 51st and King Drive, at the northwest entrance to Washington Park. Bishop James Dukes, pastor of Liberation Christian Center, said he wants the statue gone, and he wants George Washington’s name removed from the park. |

(BLACK) Orange Park man charged with child molestation  CLAY COUNTY, Fla. - An Orange Park man faces charges of child molestation and showing obscene material to a child. Jule Larose, 30, was booked Monday into the Clay County Jail on $500,000 bond. According to a Clay County Sheriff's Office report, Larose touched the 11-year-old victim, asked her to engage in inappropriate behavior and showed her videos of people have sex since she was 9 years old. A relative of the victim told the the girl's mother that she saw Larose climb into bed with the victim, investigators said. Larose was captured in Miami and then transported back to Clay County to face the charges. He made his first appearance in court Tuesday morning. |
Woman Followed From Brooklyn to Manhattan Fights Off Sex Attack at Herald Square, Gets Bitten by BLACK Police arrested a man who allegedly followed a woman on a subway from Brooklyn to Manhattan, then grabbed her on a Herald Square escalator, tried to rape her and bit her on the chest when she fought back, authorities say. Jaquan Whittle, 25, of Brooklyn, is charged with attempted rape, assault, forcible touching and harassment, police said. Officials say the 23-year-old victim realized the Whittle was following her at the Prospect Park subway station during Monday's evening rush. He slapped her buttocks as she entered the turnstiles, then they both boarded an uptown Q train. Both Whittle and the victim got off at 34th Street and Sixth Avenue, where he followed the woman down the escalator. Police say he grabbed her arms and, after a brief struggle, bit the woman on the chest before running off. |
Two escaped BLACK teens charged with capital murder after Limestone homicide  ATHENS — Madison police identified the victim in a Monday night homicide in Limestone County as 61-year-old construction worker Van Johnson of Riverdale, Georgia. Two teens have been charged with capital murder in the death. Johnson was found dead near the back of Publix at 12070 County Line Road around 11:30 Monday night. It appeared he was assaulted, and police saw the two subjects running away. They matched the description of a 17- and 18-year-old reported missing from Three Springs juvenile facility in Madison on Monday morning. The subjects, Aaron Raynard Jones, 17, of Ensley, and Jakobe Carter, 18, of Phenix City, were caught this morning in a wooded area near Three Springs. Both face capital murder, first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary charges. |

Handicapped "Good Samaritan" stabbed and robbed after offering thankless black ‘homeless’ man food, shelter CHARLOTTE, NC —— A victim was stabbed after a man he invited into his home assaulted him and stole his wallet. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are working to identify the unknown man. They say according to the victim, he believed the unknown man was a homeless man when the two met at a bus stop. "The victim advised that he had befriended a male suspect at a bus stop in the uptown area, and due to a handicap, had asked the suspect to get money out of an ATM using his card," CMPD said. "The suspect did so and then the victim invited the suspect to share a meal and stay with him at his home, since the suspect appeared to be homeless." Police say the man woke the victim up during the night, holding a knife and demanding his wallet. The victim was stabbed multiple times before the man left his home. The victim's ATM card was used on W. Trade Street. Police say he is believed to be homeless and frequently in the uptown area. The man is described by police as a black male, approximately 45-years-old and has a mustache and goatee. |

A diverse crowd of dozens cheered as the statue of a soldier holding a rifle fell to the ground in front of an old courthouse building that now houses local government offices in Durham County. Seconds after the monument fell, protesters began kicking the crumpled bronze monument. “I’m tired of white supremacy keeping its foot on my neck and the necks of people who look like me,” Thompson said. “That statue glorifies the conditions that oppressed people live in, and it had to go.” Thompson, a student at historically black North Carolina Central University, faces vandalism misdemeanor and felony charges, including for property damage and participation in a riot, according to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office. |

Dillon, of Gary, was indicted last year in Hammond's federal court with one count of Hobbs Act Robbery, one count of using a firearm during a crime of violence and one count of causing death during a crime of violence. After pleading guilty in April, Judge Philip P. Simon sentenced Dillon to consecutive prison terms of 240 months for armed robbery and 270 months for using the firearm to cause death, court records show. Around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 20, 2016, Dillon entered the 7-Eleven store in the 6000 block of Hohman Avenue with a Walther P22 gun, intending to rob the store, according to court documents. Dillon "demanded money and shot and killed the store clerk, Roger Unton," a U.S. Attorney's release states. "When Roger Unton pressed a silent alarm button to alert the police that the store was being robbed, (Dillon) could have escaped with likelihood that he would never be identified," prosecutors said in a court filing leading up to sentencing. "Instead, (Dillon) made the decision to punish Roger Unton by shooting him in the chest at close range and leaving him to die. This was no mistake or accident." - (Black-on-white) |

BLACK Man charged with quadruple murder (of four White victims) in Wilson County on Christmas Eve  Wilson County, N.C. — A man who has been in police custody since January was charged with the Christmas Eve murders of four people in Wilson County, according to authorities. Dereck Harris, 29, was in custody for discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling and a probation violation for a separate incident. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office on Monday charged him with four counts of murder. Investigators said Tammy Pearce, her fiancé Selby Outland, her son Shane Pearce, and his girlfriend Nikki Privette were all found shot to death on day before Christmas last year. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office said it may have been drug related and that Harris knew at least one of the victims. Sheriff Calvin Woodard said investigators worked countless hours on the case. " It was never placed on the back burner. We constantly kept working the case until we came to this point; however, we are not stopping here. We will continue our investigation until we locate everybody accountable for this crime. Harris was known to some of the victims. Kelsey Brant, the stepdaughter of Deputy Mark Burbridge, openly cried as she described getting the frantic call from her mother on May 1, when Burbridge was shot and killed by 24-year-old Wesley Correa-Carmenaty. Addressing Correa-Carmenaty, Brant called him "a monster" and added, "I know you have no remorse for anything you've done or the pain you've caused." Karley Burbridge called Correa-Carmenaty "a sociopath with no emotion," lamenting that her father would not get to participate in the milestones in her life — such as walking her down a wedding aisle. Kaleb Burbridge asked the judge to impose a life sentence, bemoaning that Correa-Carmenaty would not be subject to death, as Iowa has no death penalty. Correa-Carmenaty was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison, plus 175 years for other counts ranging from attempted murder and kidnapping to robbery and weapons counts. The shooting occurred after the two deputies drove inmate Wesley Correa-Carmenaty, 24, back to jail from the courthouse. Correa-Carmenaty had just been sentenced as part of a plea deal to 45 years in prison with no possibility of parole for 29½ years, for voluntary manslaughter in the 2016 killing of Anthony J. Walker. In court, he had acted cold and spoke flatly, according to Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber. BLACK St. Louis man gets 23 years in fatal robbery attempt of (White) St. Charles County teen   ST. LOUIS • A St. Louis man has admitted trying to rob and killing a St. Charles County teen in the city in 2015. Jamar H. Mack, 26, was set to stand trial this week but reached a plea agreement with St. Louis prosecutors by pleading guilty Monday to a reduced charge of second-degree murder, attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. Mack was sentenced to 23 years by St. Louis Circuit Judge Elizabeth Hogan. Mack admitted killing Sean Engel, 19, about 10:25 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2015, during a struggle in the 4400 block of Sexauer Avenue in the city’s Penrose neighborhood. Engel and Mack were co-workers at the food court of an outlet mall in Chesterfield, Engel’s mother Cathy Engel said Tuesday. Engel had given Mack a ride home after work the night he was killed. She believes Mack planned to rob her son because Mack knew Engel had money on him. She said she doesn’t know exactly what led to the shooting. Cathy Engel said she had hoped Mack’s case would have gone to trial and believes Mack’s sentence is too short “I think he got off with a slap on the hand,” she said. “My kid got life, you know? Jacques Malone, 24, of the 2000 block of Victorian Village, was charged with raping a female relative at knifepoint on July 1, 2015, at his home in the 2000 block of Victorian Village Drive in the Spanish Lake area. Prosecutors dismissed counts of sodomy, armed criminal action and burglary in exchange for his guilty pleas to the other counts. St. Louis County Circuit Judge Nancy Watkins delivered the sentence Monday. |

Colored Teen charged with choking mom’s abusive brute ex-boyfriend to death An 18-year-old high school football player has been charged with killing his mother’s abusive ex-boyfriend, police said. Luis Moux fatally choked his mother’s 43-year-old attacker, Stanley Washington, when he showed up at their University Avenue apartment in the Bronx and began fighting with her around 4:30 a.m. Monday. Washington first started squabbling with Moux’s mother, Lorena Sesma, 37, in the hallway of the building before following the woman inside the apartment, where he began beating her, police said. Moux, who heard the commotion from his bedroom, came running to his mother’s aid and saw Washington on top of her. The teen then wrapped his arm around Washington’s neck as he tried to pull the brute off his mother. At some point, Washington lost consciousnesses and later died. Police said it’s not clear if Moux choked the man only while trying to pull Washington off his mom or if he continued choking him afterward. Police charged Moux with manslaughter late Monday. Police said Washington had a long criminal history that includes 26 prior arrests. |
Woman Attacked, Sexually Assaulted by BLACK After Leaving Work  FORT WORTH — Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a woman on Burnett Street as she was leaving work Monday morning. The attack happened shortly before 3 a.m. in the parking lot of a local club in Fort Worth. The suspect fled the scene and ran north to West 4th Street, ran east to Lamar, and ran north to West 3rd Street. He then ran east in front of the public library and turned north onto Taylor Street. Police said the predator was seen loitering around the area before the assault. He’s described as a black male in his 20s, 6 feet 1 – 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a thin build. |

Police say a 64-year-old woman is charged with maintaining a drug property after officers found nearly 1,000 bags of heroin at a Delaware home. New Castle County police say two men, three children and about $800 in suspected drug proceeds were also found Friday in the home along Carlotta Drive in the Wrangle Hill Estates community. Police were called out for fired gunshots and say the woman tried to lie about the people and drugs -- which included small amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana -- inside. Laura Stanley, along with 18-year-old Tyrone Gardner and 21-year-old Jamir Waters are held on bonds for various charges including firearms charges. It's unclear if any has an attorney. |
Three (LGBT-Queer dirty deviant black) Baton Rouge men wanted in kidnapping, waterboarding and homosexual assault of man  Baton Rouge police are looking for three men accused of kidnapping a man who was tied up, pepper sprayed, waterboarded and sexually assaulted in their Underwood Avenue home Aug. 3. The victim told police the men picked him up about 5 p.m. so he could repair a vehicle at their home. Once at the home, police say, Damar Xavier Coleman, 36, and Almoine Lemar Powell, 29, attacked him. While the man's hands were tied, Coleman and Powell doused him with pepper spray on his ears, legs and genitals before waterboarding him, causing him to pass out for 2 to 3 minutes, according to their arrest warrants. Police said Powell also sexually assaulted the man with a screwdriver and Coleman beat the man several times with a hammer. Samuel Josea Smith Jr., 33, helped Powell and Coleman bring the man to the home but did not attack him, according to his arrest warrant. After the attack, the men put the victim in the trunk of a red sedan in the backyard, but he was able to escape by pulling the emergency trunk release and ran to a nearby convenience store, police said. |

18-year-old BLACK arrested in Nashville parking garage attack NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An 18-year-old was arrested and charged in the attack on a woman at a downtown Nashville parking garage. Metro police say Amari Ayers faces charges of attempted robbery in last Friday’s attack at the garage on Harrison Street and Fifth Avenue. Family members who saw video surveillance footage of the attack released by the police department Monday accompanied Ayers as he surrendered to officers downtown Tuesday, according to police. During an interview with a detective, Ayers allegedly admitted to trying to rob the victim, who is an employee of the state. On surveillance video, the victim is seen waiting for the elevator to get to her car when the teenager confronts her. Metro police say he grabbed her around the neck, put his hand over her mouth and threatened to kill her if she didn’t stop fighting. He also demanded her purse. The woman was able to get away after someone driving through the garage witnessed the attack and honked their car’s horn, reportedly scaring Ayers away. |

David Elijah Ward, 37, of Burbank, California, was sentenced Monday in Bucks County Court to four to 23 months in county lockup on indecent assault charges, according to court records. Jurors in April found Ward guilty of groping two women last summer at Hand & Stone Spa. The pair of assaults occurred during two July 2016 appointments separated by eight days immediately prior to Ward's planned move across the country. "I am incredibly impressed by both of these women for coming forward. They booked their massage trusting the masseuse would be professional, but instead they were completely violated." |

Illegal immigrant in Utah who was deported raped 7-year-old girl 'thousands of times,' police say An illegal immigrant who returned to the country after being deported to Mexico is accused of raping a 7-year-old girl “thousands of times.” Victor Francisco Michel-Lara, 32, of Cedar City, Utah was arrested Sunday and faces first-degree felony charges of rape of a child, according to his arrest report. He was also placed on an immigration detainer. The girl told investigators that Michel-Lara molested her “many times” in the last six months and had raped her thousands of times. "...his fingers accidentally slipped into her vagina..." Police believe Michel-Lara returned to the U.S. after being deported to Mexico on an unrelated charge, the Spectrum said. |
Hispanic Man gets 40 years for explicit images of missing girl FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to 40 years in federal prison for having pornographic images on his phone of a 9-year-old girl who disappeared last year. The News-Press reports that 29-year-old Jorge Guerrero-Torres was sentenced Monday. He was convicted in May of production and possession of child pornography. Authorities say Guerrero-Torres had been staying at the Fort Myers home where the girl lived in May 2016, around the time the girl disappeared. Detectives later found sexually explicit images of the girl on his phone. Guerrero-Torres hasn't been charged in the girl's disappearance. A state investigation is still active. |

Calhoun said he and Brann got into an argument because he believed that Brann was a "cannibal," Calhoun said he took the gun and planned to shoot Brann, but the gun jammed. Calhoun said, he grabbed a pen and stabbed Brann in both eyes. Calhoun "stomped" on the piece of wood to lodge it further into Brann's mouth, grabbed a drawer from the broken dresser and used it to hit Brann. Calhoun said he locked the door to keep Brann's roommate from entering, grabbed his money and backpack and jumped out of the bedroom window while naked. |

Authorities are looking for Jessica Lyne Gomez, also known as Jessica Ebner, 26, of Fort Dodge, and Mackenzie Lee Knigge, 26, of Clare. Lori Rial is the mother of Knigge. According to Rial, she last saw her daughter Saturday night. After receiving what Rial called “strange text messages and phone calls,” she went back to her daughter’s apartment in Clare to check on Knigge. “ Gomez is a white woman with blue eyes. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 195 pounds. The last contact with Gomez was reported the night of Aug. 4, according to the Webster County Sheriff’s Department. Cooks is being held without bond for first degree murder and conjoint robbery related to a May 2017 homicide. On Sunday, police arrested Marquise Petey White for the same charges. BLACK Rankin County man arrested on dogfighting charges  A Rankin County man was arrested Saturday on charges related to dogfighting. Anton Jerome Clayborne, 39, is charged with felony dogfighting, animal cruelty and numerous local ordinance violations after police served a search warrant on his home. The search allegedly turned up 19 Staffordshire Terriers, mostly on heavy chains attached to axles buried in the ground, according to a release. One was in a wire crate without water with a weight connected to his collar. There was also training equipment, including treadmills and weighted vests and collars. Supplements and medical supplies common to dogfighting operations were also allegedly found on site. The dogs were all taken to a location where they will be examined and treated. Clayborne will face a court appearance Monday. |

In a shocking interview with a local Ohio station, the lad's father alleges Laura Lynne Cross, 36, began a sexual relationship with the boy when he was just 14. He claims it started with trips to her house to play in her swimming pool but graduated to staying the night and finally MOVING IN. The boy's father says he first raised concerns to a Buchtel High School official and Tallmadge Police as early as 2012 - but the station reports that no charges were filed. However, Cross did resign from her post in January 2015 - and police are taking the claims seriously. Laura Lynn Cross has been indicted on three counts of sexual battery over a period of three years with $100,000 bail. |

(Pointy-headed BLACK) Little Woods man accused of sex crimes against 14-year-old girl New Orleans police: A Little Woods man is facing two sex-crime allegations after authorities said he was caught in the midst of a sex act last week with a 14-year-old girl in a car parked underneath the Senator Ted Hickey Bridge. New Orleans police booked Dimitri Florent Jr., 22, with sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile on Aug. 10. The offenses carry penalties of up to 10 and 7 years, respectively, upon conviction. Florent, who has no prior convictions, told investigators he had been texting with the girl via Instagram for about a month before she invited him to meet for a tryst. Florent said he left on a lunch break from work, picked up the girl, and drove them to what he thought would be a "safe spot" under the industrial canal bridge, according to arrest documents sworn by NOPD child abuse Detective Derrick Melder. A sergeant with the Orleans Levee District Police soon arrived to investigate the suspicious car, and told the NOPD she caught Florent performing oral sex on the young girl in the back seat of his black Honda Accord. Florent waived his rights and admitted the act in a recorded statement to police, Melder wrote. |
Franklin police arrests BLACK suspect for alleged indecent exposure at Pinkerton Park  A registered sex offender remains in jail after exposing himself to two teens over the weekend at a Franklin park. Officers went to Pinkerton Park after a male suspect allegedly propositioned two teens at the playground, according to the Franklin Police Department news release. Officers then went in search of a suspect before arresting Mario Buchanan, 41, on South Margin Street. The media release said Buchanan was arrested after witnesses positively identified him. Authorities charged Buchanan with two counts of indecent exposure and two counts of sexual battery. According to FPD, he is a convicted felon and registered sex offender. He is set to appear in court Aug. 24, at 1 p.m. Police said additional charges could be forthcoming in this case. |
BLACK Lancaster man pleads guilty to 2014 rape after DNA evidence connects him to crime scene LANCASTER — A 20-year-old Lancaster man has admitted to the 2014 rape and beating of a Lancaster woman after police used DNA evidence to connect him to the crime, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office. Robert R. Pitt recently pleaded guilty to nine charges, including felony counts of rape and battery, in Lancaster County Court. Lancaster County Judge Jeffrey Wright accepted the plea and will order a sentence in about 90 days, after a background check on Pitt in completed, the DA’s office said. |
Pierce County detectives search for (BLACK) Parkland rape suspect Pierce County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding a sexual assault suspect. A teenage girl told detectives the suspect raped her inside her Parkland home on July 30 and then fled. She said she did not know the man but had seen him earlier that morning pacing back and forth on 132nd Street South while she was walking her dog. Shortly after she arrived home, the suspect knocked on her door and forced his way inside when she answered. The suspect is a black man in his 20’s or 30’s. Sheriff: (Black female) Student arrested for threatening to kill teacher on Facebook The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office arrested a high school student for threatening to kill her former teacher on Facebook. Desiree Zio said she intended to find the teacher at her home or school with the intent to stab her with a knife, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities arrested Zio without incident around 11:23 p.m. Sunday. A release from the sheriff’s office said Zio is a senior at Marchman Technical College. |

BLACK (or spanic) Man wanted for sexually assaulting girl in the Bronx  Police are searching for the man who allegedly sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl this morning in the Bronx. The young girl was in the vicinity of East 173rd Street and Weeks Avenue in Concourse Village around 11:30 a.m. when a man in his 30s followed the victim, approached her and displayed an unidentified weapon, cops said. He then forced her into an alleyway behind 1686 Weeks Avenue, where he sexually assaulted her. Escudero said the suspect was black or Hispanic, and was wearing a red baseball cap and sneakers. |
