  • Gay black man blames brutal beating on Hasidic patrolmen linked to NYPD scandal
A gay black man who was brutally beaten in 2013 by a group of ultra-Orthodox Jewish men blames the attack on the ongoing NYPD corruption scandal, a new lawsuit filed Monday says. Taj Patterson accuses the city and police officials of being in bed with members of the Shomrim — saying the Satmar watchdog patrol group has for years been given “favorable and preferential treatment,” the Brooklyn federal court complaint says. Patterson, who is openly gay, was left permanently blind in the left eye from the beat-down in Williamsburg, allegedly by the group of Hasidic patrolmen. Five were ultimately arrested — but Patterson says in his suit that the investigation was bungled and prematurely closed after Shomrim members made calls to the 90th Precinct.

I was fired because I’m white: TV anchorwoman
Wendy BellA Pittsburgh anchorwoman, who was fired after comments in a Facebook post about a shooting were deemed racially insensitive, filed a lawsuit against her former employer Monday saying the television station let her go because she is white. Wendy Bell said in her federal lawsuit against WTAE-TV that the station fired her on March 30 “because of her race,” violating her civil rights. “Had Ms. Bell written the same comments about white criminal suspects or had her race not have been white, Defendant would not have fired her, much less disciplined her,” the lawsuit reads.
“Ms. Bell’s posting of concern for the African-American community stung by mass shooting was clearly and obviously not intended to be racially offensive.” Bell is seeking back pay, punitive damages and her old job.
She commented on the March 9 shooting of five black people in the poor Pittsburgh suburb of Wilkinsburg. “You needn’t be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts,” Bell wrote March 21. “They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s. They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before. They’ve grown up there. They know the police. They’ve been arrested.” In the same post, she also praised a black restaurant worker in a way some readers felt was condescending. No arrests have been made in the case.

Suspected (black soulless monkey) killer of (White) man walking home from wedding bragged about robbery on Facebook
Steve EsworthySteven EsworthyShamir HunterShamir HunterHarrisburg police have charged 19-year-old Shamir Hunter with robbery and homicide in the death of Steve Esworthy last weekend. Police identified Hunter after reviewing video surveillance cameras from midtown neighborhoods near the site of the killing in the 1200 block of Green Street. Esworthy was clubbed in the back of the head with a piece of wood about 1:30 a.m. Sunday as he walked home from his brother's wedding, where he had served as Best Man. A witness spotted a man rifling through Esworthy's pockets as he lay dying on the ground. Police think the robber zeroed in on Esworthy because Esworthy appeared intoxicated and an easier target. It appeared to be a crime of opportunity, said police Capt. Gabriel Olivera, so detectives searched for other crimes of opportunities in the area that night. Detectives found video images of a man matching the killer's denoscription casing vehicles and stealing from a vehicle, Olivera said. Through tips and other evidence they eventually identified the car prowler as Hunter, who lived in uptown Harrisburg. Police charged Hunter with theft from an automobile Friday night, Olivera said, and began searching for him. They could not find him. - (Black-on-white)

But D.C. police thought the suspect known as “Q” had tampered with the GPS device. Instead of cutting off or removing the bracelet, however, which would have alerted authorities, police said Quincy Green found a new way to dupe the tracker: he took off his leg.

(Black) Man who shot at (White) judge sentenced to 343 years in prison
Aaron RichardsonU.S. District Judge Timothy CorriganJACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man found guilty in March of attempting to assassinate a federal judge was sentenced Friday morning to 343 years in prison. A jury found Aaron Richardson guilty of attempted murder and 23 other charges after U.S. District Judge Timothy Corrigan took the stand to testify about a shot fired into his home in June 2013. Prosecutors said that when Richardson fired a shot through the sliding-glass door of Corrigan's home, he was facing revocation of supervised release on a conviction for attempting to make a bomb. “The attack on Judge Corrigan was not only an attack on the man personally, it was an attack on the entire federal judicial system and the rule of law,” U.S. Attorney Lee Bentley said. "Judges should not fear that their impartial decisions will subject them to threats of reprisal or even worse physical attacks (or) attempted assassinations." “Judge Corrigan was 1.6 inches from becoming the next federal judge murdered,” Bentley said. Prosecutors said that before the assassination attempt, Richardson had forged Corrigan's name on a document ordering all state charges against Richardson be dropped. - (Black-on-white)
