Man Faces Murder Charge in Death * Picture of victim of Kansas City shooting found by NNN reader  KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Prosecutors on Friday charged a man in the shooting death of another man found dead in a car overnight. John Williams, 23, of Kansas City, Kan., faced a first-degree murder charge in the death of Jonathan R. Kidwell, 21, of Blue Springs, Mo.Kidwell's body was found in a car near 11th and Lafayette. Police still were looking for Williams. Police announce suspect in Bonistall murder  The Newark Police Department announced early Monday afternoon that, with unspecified physical evidence in hand, they have charged James Edward Cooke Jr., 34, of the unit block of Lincoln Drive in Newark, with the murder of 20-year-old University of Delaware student Lindsey Marie Bonistall. The body of the sophomore English major from White Plains, N.Y., was discovered in her Towne Court apartment early Sunday, May 1, after an arson fire. The suspect was arrested as a suspect in the home invasion of another University

Samara drowned her 6-year-old daughter in a bathtub then went to a hardware store, bought an ax and chopped off the girl's head On June 7, Samara Spann's father called the sheriff's office to say he had heard rumors that she had killed the girl. Three days later, a Sacramento County sheriff's detective arrested her on an unrelated accusation of slapping a different child.While in custody, she confessed to killing Kyeimah, prosecutors said. In the statement, Spann admitted using drugs heavily during the pregnancy and said it was because the girl was a "demon" that she cut off her head, according to charging papers filed in King County Superior Court. - (Brewski) - (crime) |
Woman is charged in fatal hit-run in Mt. Holly  Police charged a Burlington City woman yesterday in connection with a hit-and-run accident that killed an elderly pedestrian last week.
Mauricia Crump, 26, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. The charge is a third-degree felony.
Investigators said Crump was driving on Jacksonville Road when her Mazda 626 hit Stephanie Hawkins, 83, of Starling Lane as Hawkins walked along the road. They said Crump then fled in the car. - (Brewski) - (crime) |

| New York City: The cops contend the 5-foot-3, 107-pound Burundi-born livery driver jumped them first A jockey-sized cab driver charged in court yesterday that three cops severely beat him in front of a Brooklyn mosque a year ago when he protested a parking ticket. "He pushed me. He's bigger than me," said Boris Nkari, 32, fingering Officer Gregory Hepp at Brooklyn Criminal Court. "The other officer came to help him. | Four black prisoners are accused of battery as a hate crime after allegedly beating up three white inmates JANESVILLE, Wis. The white men were dragged into jail cells and held while they were beaten repeatedly, officials said. The assaults happened over several days until one of the victims finally told jail staff. All the assaults happened in the top security section at the jail. The prisoners have not yet been charged. |
Three Black Suspects in Germantown Stabbing of White Teenager Still At Large * Teenager Fatally Stabbed Near Party Montgomery County police continue to search for three suspects believed responsible for stabbing a teenager to death in Germantown this weekend. It happened early Sunday in the 22000 block of Canterfield Way. Police say when they arrived about 1:30 a.m., they found 18-year-old Ezekiel Babendreier in the street. He'd been stabbed at least once and died a short time later at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. The crime occurred in an upscale suburban neighborhood Police say all three suspects are young black men. The suspect seen with the knife is described as about 5'10" tall and 160 pounds. He is believed to be between 18 and 22 years old. | Negro Fails to Have Richard Barrett of Nationalist.org Jailed Malicious-charges stem from Charles Evers radio-show - Prosecutors refuse to go forward at trial  BRANDON, MS - A Negro has been rebuffed in the latest effort to have Richard Barrett jailed. Negro Nathaniel Evans had filed criminal-trespass charges, claiming that Barrett illegally entered his premises. However, when the case came up for trial on June 13, 2005, prosecutors refused to go forward. Prosecutor Richard Wilson told Judge John Shirley at the Rankin County Courthouse in Brandon that the state was not able to proceed, so charges were dropped. The turn-down capped a string of failed prosecutions from Georgia to California, stemming from opposition to Barrett's efforts to abolish the Civil Rights Bill and secure a constitutional amendment for national voting by referendum. - (more) |

Marcel accused of burning girlfriend Police say Marcel Tirado pinned his girlfriend against a wall and burned her with a knife for about hour. "Her right arm is pink skin… her left arm just deep cuts, bruises,” describes an acquaintance of the woman. During the attack, authorities say Tirado etched his name on her back and burned off her tattoo. "When our officers arrived they noticed numerous disfiguring burns on this women's back and this man's name, Marcel, clearly burned into the skin on her back. 80-year-old reputed Klansman set to stand trial in 1964 civil-rights slayings - "double jeopardy"  Edgar Ray Killen was acquitted on federal charges in the 1964 murders.Defendant Edgar Ray Killen, who has been free on bail, looked straight ahead and said nothing as he was taken into the two-story, red brick courthouse in a wheelchair.
